Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Went to the post office today to mail out a few samples I'd promised. Asked if the postage (single stamp) was OK for the weight.

She said "Well, the weight is fine, but you need another 23 cents because they're thick."

That caught me by surprise! Apparently if it won't fit through the machines, it costs extra (even though these would have gone through the machines just fine....).

Anyone else sending out samples seen this?

I just sent two out today too. I did 5 strips nicely in line in a 9" envelope. It's quite a bit for a sample, probably 100 wicks. It was one stamp and she tested thickness slide and it went through so she thought it would be fine for 48.. I did set a book on it over night to compress it a little before I sealed it.

Incredible that this thread has blown up to the size it has in such a short time.

Evidently a true testament to the effectiveness of this material. I have been vaping since 09' and pretty much have coil building down but the wicking has always been the biggest pain to keep consistent each time. This is the next BIG thing for me and I can't wait to sneek home from work here in a few and get hold of the box waiting for me on my porch.

I just want to thank Jeremy for bringing this to our attention and to all the other people for posting their experiences with rayon.

OK I just got a little piece of the Rayon in a Melatonin Bottle and ordered a 40 foot chunk of it yesterday. It did kick the flavor WAY up and the Vaper production seemed like it went up also. I think I will be going to a higher ohm setting to see once I get the bigger package in. But I can say I am very happy with it.

Ahh.. oh well. I do have a Sally's near, and if they have the 40' boxes, I'll get it there. If all they have is the 500' boxes, no way; I'll be ordering online.

Well. I've often heard the phrase "Less is more" (linux user) but I've never encountered "More is less"! It takes up less room than a small puppy, and is much cuddlier! (Take it all out of the plastic bag first!)

The 500' box costs $11.70+ around Atlanta. It is $10.99 cost the other is Tax. Might be slightly cheaper or more expensive in Lawrenceville depending on the tax %.

Can't beat that by ordering it.

I'm certainly glad y'all finally found a source for this material that doesn't involve scrounging it out of pill bottles.

The idea of vaping on any material that had been used in a pill bottle (be it a prescription, or a "supplement" like Melatonin) is not something I would even consider. Because believe me, pretty much ANYTHING that comes in a pill bottle is NOT something you want to be vaping, and unless you have an autoclave and a centrifuge, there is no way you're gonna get all the drug residue off that stuff.

Just sayin'.

Vape on. If you're buying this stuff by the 40-foot roll, you should be set for life... ;-

Actually, if the Postman came by today and picked it up, I think I would have gotten away with it. Somehow he missed his route today so I went to the P.O. and (perhaps stupidly) asked, rather than just tossing them into the slot. And since I had no cash on me, felt compelled to buy 2 books of stamps rather than try to charge 69 cents on my card ;-)

I'm sure that's true, but I'd need to be an immortal to use up 500' of it! Considering I'm 53, I might have 30 yrs left... especially since I quit smoking. Who knows, there may be something EVEN BETTER just waiting to be discovered, and there I'd be with 200 yrs worth of rayon! I've got a huge ball of P&C yarn that will probably never be used... almost a full bag of organic cotton balls... I'm really tired of buying stuff that I'll never be able to use up, just to turn around and buy something different.

I've got another gunker in my Aqua now, but BB is the worst gunker I've seen.

I agree wholeheartedly. Of course, to each their own. I found this thread before the CC rush, and did the pill bottle rayon for maybe two drip sessions, but got cold feet and yanked the stuff. Ordered tencel top and waited for it to arrive, as I was not comfortable vaping the stuff.

On the Kayfun it takes me about 15 minutes of vaping to really get saturated, especially if I recoiled it at the same time. Most of it is breaking in the coil and not so much the rayon. It gets better real quick and stays that way..

You may not be priming it enough it will take a lot of juice if you keep adding and waiting 20sec add more until it can hold no more. Or you have it a little too tight. Hope this helps get you the instant satisfaction. I notice no break in time when I do it.

heck, I have an old RSST that I haven't used in a long while and I think while I'm re-wicking everything, I'll do a rebuild on it as well.

stopped by the house for lunch and the sallys shipment was waiting. I didn't have any time to re-wick but did prep some pieces for tonight.

The coil splits much more uniform than cotton and looks like it will be a breeze to generate consistent wicks each time.

Pretty excited vaper here. Now I just need an excuse to leave the office early-HMM??

Ok, I've been following this thread for a week now and decided to give it a try. I found an old bottle of Melatonin in my cabinet but I'm not sure if the stuff is Rayon or cotton. I've been using Rami for a few weeks now, but it's a little tricky (stiff when wet). If anyone wouldn't mind sending a bit of the cellucotton from Sally's for me to try, I love you long time.

Supersport, it works wonderfully in the RSST. I'm actually using mine, lol!

JimzDogz: burn it. If it goes up in a puff and smells like burnt paper, it's rayon.
