Never boiled mine, never smelled or tasted anything. Judging from the response to this fiber, I'm glad I got 8oz when I bought it. Won't have any more shipping costs...

i have two bottles i just happened to have unopened because thats the brand i buy and use for sleep aid. i really hope my bottles have rayon. otherwise, im in the same boat as you. teh moneyz is a slow flow lately :/
believe me....$17 with shipping for almost a lifetimes worth is definately worth it
I just received my batch today. So far, have tried on a Kayfun 3.1. My impressions seem a bit different, however:
I am finding a smoother draw then cotton, but about the same vapor production- maybe even a tad less. However, the vapor seems thicker, "silkier", and as mentioned, significantly smoother. Because of that, the impression is less throat hit then cotton. It imparts virtually no taste of its own, so the flavor profile appears very accurate and "clean". rewicks very quickly, so appears excellent for chain vaping and possibly sub-ohming although I don't know how well it handles extreme temperature compared to cotton- I am *thinking* better then cotton, due to its very fast saturation properties. I'm going to play with some other atty's and also try using it as a "core" in a genesis build, with some mesh wrapped around it. I think it would be ideal for that!

It was just the small bottle and id guess its about a 1/4-1/2oz of rayon in it... Cheaper than ordering and you get meletonin too... It will come in handy cause you'll be vaping yourself into oblivion. (Burn test any bottle rayon to confirm)

It saturates the coil so heavily without flooding that you need more power... The low vapor is from the saturation. More power will make it shine.. Or use a different density to compensate.

just got my 3 oz of tencel from WC Mercantile Home Page in the vapemail. Holy Gosh thats alot of tencel. Gonna drop some in my 3D first and see how it works.

Cracked open my two Spring Valley melatonin bottles (5mg), and to my disappointment, both were cotton. I desperately then opened my fiancee's Nature Made magnesium to the same disappointment. I'm so bummed :-(
on my first build with the taifun i stuffed the wick in, it would have been way too much for cotton and it vaped great.
i rewicked it using the same amount as i would with cotton and it wound up flooding a little. rewicked it with quite a bit third time and is vaping great. i think being that the wick is always exposed to juice in a taifun, that tencel wicks so well that maybe it works better to add more than you would with cotton so it reigns it in a little. with the kayfuns, the wick is not always submersed and when i wicked it like you would with cotton it vaped great.

on both my drippers i wicked them the same as i would with cotton and they were fantastic
Mine from WC Mercantile arrived too. Tastes smoother and cleaner than cotton. Still trying to figure out how much to use in my RM2 though. Vapor is definitely thicker. I'm having trouble putting the Tencile in my coil though. Maybe should do a little larger coil than my current one that's a little less than 2mm I think. Hmm...
you can try folding a length in half and using thread or a piece of kanthal to thread it through coil...like a needle and thread

I weighed each cotton swath from the bottles. Each was about 2g (which appears to be enough for maybe 100 1/16" ID wicks). If rayon/tencel is around the same density, that's how much you can expect from the melatonin bottles (if you get lucky and don't get cotton like me).
With 28g to an ounce, you guys with your half ounce to full ounce orders will have quite a bit of tencel.

wicked up my dream bt804 with it, so much goodness. No more flooding, great flavor, lots of vapor. Went heavy on it this time, used some 32 awg kanthal to thread my coil. works perfect!
