Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

On a side note,my Heron clone shipped today from fasttech. I'm psyched to see how this CC performs as a wick/filler setup in it. Hopefully within two weeks I'll post build results.

And I do have an rba design specifically for rayon that I came up with last year.... Need manufacturing and production...
Good point, I enjoyed cartos for about a year and I bet there would be an improvement in them with cellucotton.
Does anyone else notice how fast cellucotton absorbs juice? I thought I was just imagining things, but I watched it closely while dripping and juice disappears into it like water does into sand. I know readers who haven't used it might think "Well regular organic cotton wicks/absorbs fast too" but I swear it looks to be wicking faster.

I have genesis tanks that I wick with twisted cotton ball, fed through the vertical coil into the tank. I lick my fingers and twist it tight enough to feed through. Am I going to have problems with this staying tight enough to feed through?
I tried it with tinsel it wasn't great, it probably won't be a problem with Sally's tho.

i did an aga t2 this morning and i stuffed it in coil then stuffed it in juice holes with a very very small screwdriver.
i dont know if id do it that way again. i think if there is a next time, ill do it different. if my coil was larger than the juice hole id cut the wick going to juice hole to fit and leave coils wick alone. if it was smaller, id stuff wickhole then fit coil over wick sticking out of hole. this is installing coil to device after wicking.
you dont get a dry burn on coil, but i believe most of us are pretty good at coils by now
key is you have to stuff the coil....it would be hard if not impossible to do it stuffing it through coil ...then through juice hole

It should be easier than working with cotton. You Do the same thing only it's easier and the results are better.
Just start with a wick that looks 2 -3 times what you think you would use if cotton. Twist it long enough to go all the way through. Grab it on the other side. Take the main wick and twist it to bring it down to a rope, you can pull it right through. make sure you can still slide it back and forth with some resistance. Untwist it good. Soak it down give it 5 min. Try it out, then see how the wick sets after it breaks in. If it's not still tight in the coil and deck, use more.. You will end up with a perfect, even, wick.
just got the rayon balls from delasco....
its the same fibers as sally's but in ball form. it unrolls just like cotton balls but when unrolled, its a thinner strip than what is pulled out of the box on sally's.

sally's was definately cheaper. and easier to acquire. shipping cost for delasco rayon balls makes it a lesser choice

Oh you can't access the bottom wick on the aga.
I don't have an aga, but I was able to thread this wick through this long coil trying to represent length of the aga coil & deck. I did not touch the bottom of the wick only the top. This is how I would try to do it.
Wick was dry, about the amount I thought it would need. It was a large wick when light rolled, then folded over on itself and rolled twisted tight. .When you twist it tight, the size should be the diameter of your coil because it's really compressed, expect it to expand a little bit. On your wick point you have 3 seconds after you point it tight to push it to the deck so you can keep feeding it by twisting and lightly rolling at the coil if nessasary, but ideally not much or it may be too tight. If you just keep the wick twisting it will compresses itself with the tension to slide through. You'll just have to get the density close. Which sould only take a couple try's if you don't get it the first time. I would let this soak for a while for the wick to expand since it's compressed. You want subtle shoulders on it when broken in. Not bulging coming out of the tank, nice and flush with slight shoulders so you know its full.

Just finished wicking my Kayfuns with CelluCotton. I have to say the flavor is so full, clean, and pure. No dry hits at all as of yet. Just wicked it like I would with cotton, but not really fusing about too much. Down side of this now...........I'm going to be chain vaping like crazy, no nicotine in my mixes
Just make sure to drink enough
I also vape 0mg, had the smiliar problem yesterday and ended up with a scratchy throat because i didn't drink
Btw has anyone tried to do one of those split-wick builds with Rayon yet? The one where you put half of each wick between the coil and the post, and the other one down the juice channel?
I'm quite curious about this because i can imagine Rayon wicking good enough to fully saturate the wick even with only half and the extra cotton touching the coil would be a nice touch.

when wet it will stay twisted long enough to wick your coil
but ive found that dry is better

Thanks guys. I do 30ga 6/5 wrap on 5/64 ~2mm @ ~1.5Ω. I also recoil kanger BCC and Aspire BDC heads. I have done herds of coils and haven't used all of my first cotton ball, lol. I tried butcher twine but it doesn't seem to wick well. I also have silica and mesh but don't use them since cotton is so easy.

wicking it should be similar to protank
i tried wetting it first....mistake!
roll it then push through coil....im going to wick a protank soon for testing
