Incedentally, that's not the only time Tim Currey put on makeup:

Holy s*** @ Legend reference. I forgot that movie even existed, let alone anyone who starred in it besides CruiseYeah... Meatloaf was a different char, and what I was talking about is that Tim also played Satan/the Devil from the movie Legend... so I think he seems to wear make-up in a lot of movies... hmmmm

BTW, Tim Curry is one bad mother
I always use the double insertion method...Shame... shame! That movie was/is awesome! and before I forget... * Rayon wick is the best wick for vaping * especially if you use the double insertion method *
What ya all are using meatloaf for wicks, hmmm I`m sticking with rayon.
But I won't do that...
I have had a lot of trouble fitting him through the coils, so I now use huge coils... but there is an odd taste still.
But I won't do that...
Hi guys
For those with dna 40 devices, at what temperature does your rayon start getting brown (charring)?
I always hear it was well above 400F but tonight I did some dry tests and my wick starts to char as low as 374F. Now I have no idea if there is something funky going on between C and F settings on my dna chip (I use Celsius so I did the test in Celsius mode) but it did char at under 380F.
I did some experiments tonight and the best setting for me right now is 200C (392F) but when I finish my tank, I'm pretty sure I will get a dry hit so where is the advantage using TP?
Maybe my rayon is funky but I would appreciate some feedback about what might be causing the char at such a low temperature.![]()

I did the tests with a new dry wick... Fired at several temperatures but always got a light brown mark down to 374F.Hey tony, are you testing with a new dry wick? If so that would be irrelevant right... Once its been wet it wont react like dry.
Not sure what you mean by charring, you mean the coil and wick in it darken... what I see as normal is that the coil and area around it darken over time at 6v as juice constantly cooks there.
Charring rayon would essentially mean you burned through some strands. Or do you mean just the darkening of the juice that your seeing on the coil.
Different juices can start to burn or darken at different temps.

I suppose a humid wick will never do that but I wanted to be on the safe side.
One of my biggest problems is that I tend to forget to check my juice levels by the end of the day, especially while driving in the dark and I'm so distracted that sometimes I don't notice I'm about the get a nasty dry hit... Temp control seems to be great but for me, avoiding dry hits would be the cherry on top of the cake.
