Oh...and anyway...I happen to LIKE the Vmod. Particularly the XL. It suits me and I find it a pleasure to vape!

I have another box mod that is very like the REO only it's wood (Bogger..but I shudder at the possibility of an attack by the 'nauts) and it's very lovely, and works perfectly, and I like it a lot. I just like the form factor in my hand of the Vmod a bit better. I also like the rhythm when vaping it. It's comforting to me.
Yeah, fourth I like my Vmod XL too. I just know the Reo has this giant cult following and wondered why. I figured comparison to the Vmod would give people a common ground to base the discussion on.

I have a Bogger Box coming tomorrow. I know the reomizer is people's first recommendation but they are out of stock. I think I read on there that he wont have them back in stock until 11/16???

Is there any other alternative?

ERA by BudzWorx (bottom feed version)

LOVED IT on my Reo, and even though i no longer own a Reo, i still use it as an awesome dripper.

I'm working on getting the A7 to work for me on my Bogger. There's some good hints and tips from Kemosabe in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-all-vmodders-those-interested-vmod-68.html that talks about setting up the A7 (it rambles in and out of other discussions for a couple of pages). I'm doing pretty good, using the tips...better than my first foray. Still have some fine tuning to do, but it's not bad! I might even decide it's pretty good...still breaking my new coil in right now.

So let me ask this since it sounds like we've got some folks who've used both devices and prefer the Reo. What makes it a better mod? I've heard about the atty and can see some advantages to that, but what about the mod itself? Why would it be worthwhile to spend twice as much on it as the Vmod??

Dude, check out this little video on a REO grand.

I don't know how much a vmod is any more, I looked at them a year ago when I was considering buying one. Can't say if their good or not, but even if they were free, I'd still buy a REO. There's nothing like the quality and versatility of the REO or the support and vibrant community here on ECF. Here's a link - see for yourself :) look forward to seeing you there :)

Throw them out already, no rba works on them.

Honestly, it's much better made and worth the money. That doesn't mean the vmod isn't a great device especially when purchased on sale. I'm a vmod user. Both offer their advantages but, only one is truly built to last at triple the price. You'll be able to hand down a reo years from now or resell it for 80% the cost... not a vmod. If only they would make the inner chassis out of a real solid material...

Ok just bought a XL and a 2.0. How anyone could mentionthese in the same sentence as an REO is beyond me.
Before I throw these things in the trash, which, if any,rda will work on the Vmod without having to modify the shell?

I quit smoking on a vmod2.0. I gave up on clearomizers, cartos, etc. and used the vapage hybrid atties, and it was about 1,000% better vape for me....my hybrid atties lasted 3+ months, I took good care of them, and I can honestly say flavor on the cisco spec wasn't much better for the price.

Due to the chamber, it never leaked, I threw in my purse upside down, etc.

It worked as it should......granted plastic chassis etc. won't last forever, and RBAs weren't around a year ago or at least not on my radar. I also used the vmod with boge 2.0 cartos.

I NEVER would have been able to quit smoking had I not moved to bottom feeders, I vape high VG and could not taste it in clearos at all.

So, for you, it's trash, for others, it's a life saver. I have owned Bogger Box, REO, Vmods, and like them all for completely DIFFERENT reasons. :)

I'm a year in now, and I still love the little vmod for out and about adn I love the window placement, too, and for arthritic hands it is very ergonomic and lightweight---perfect newbie BF IMHO

Oh boy. Did you ever open a can of worms! Prepare for an avalanche of REOnaut effusiveness. I think basically it's because some people don't like the plastic chassis on the Vmod, many think "tipping" is too much effort, and just about all the REOnauts carry on about how the REO is "indestructible" and can be rebuilt if needed. All valid points. I just haven't been able to justify the cost at this point.

Rant, I found out the hard way that some people will never even try the REO while citing all kinds of excuses. One excuse that makes me sad and mad was that this person says it is the fault of Reonauts being overly effusive in telling about their REO experience.

What makes me sad and confused is the same person is always doing the same with their mod of choice a Vmod. I have had Vmods and they were not what i was looking for so I tried a REO and within a week of comparing and learning about the REOs I became a REOnaut.

What to do? I feel defensive when anyone posts bad things about something they never tried or did try and didn't like it because it did not make them happy. I do believe that stifles expressing ones preference. I don't bash Vmods and never have. I just compared the 2 mods and decided what was important enough for me to spend money on.

The things i do not personally like in a Vmod is:
Big Vapage logo on the side
Squonking didn't work for me
Either it flooded or ran out of the tip
The Vmod attys are too expensive for me and spit or flooded easily. They did work on a REO a lot better but still not economical.
Awkward for my hands to hold. The XL was too large and gave me hand and wrist pains.
Lack of daily customer interaction with the owner
Lack of organized help material/tutorials
I could go on but this is just me and my experience!

The things i love about a REO are the opposite of those above.

If you don't like a REO or want one that is personal preferences. The price is great for the quality of a REO and the RM2.

This my personal opinion based on my experience with both Vmods and REOs

There's somewhat of a detente between most Provari and REO owners, and a few who own both. Both owner groups are extremely passionate about their mods, but REO owners are more laid back about it. We'll share the joy and the advantages with you, but don't see REOs as the answer for everyone--only those who want the best in vaping, dripping, one-handed all day long. Reonauts know you don't choose a REO, a REO chooses you (as with cats), and we realize not all are chosen. ;)

My cat may have chosen me... my Reo? yeah, not so much. ;) But I love the statement!

Dude, check out this little video on a REO grand.

Reos Mods

I'm curious about a couple of things you said. What is the versatility of a Reo in regards to the same with a VMOD? And how does the support and vibrant community differ from those who have/use/love their VMODs?

I'm confused. Why do you feel defensive if I don't choose to want to use a Reo? I can guarantee you that I don't have any emotional attachment to your choice of devices. I'm just glad we're both vaping! And I truly am glad that you found a device that you are really pleased with and that gives you such a wonderful vape experience. I would never see a reason to bash anyone's choice. What saddens me is that this often feels like a Provi vs. 'anything else' discussion. I am THRILLED that there are so many choices for all of us, but if anyone doesn't like mine? Welp, that's perfectly ok. I do. :)

The logo on the VMOD is huge, absolutely. I have mine adorned with the alternate shells, and they are cute cute cute.
A lot has been said on the feeding methods of both devices. The VMOD is not a squonker. It's a tilt and feed. The actual feed mechanism is different one to the other.
The Vapage slant coil attIEs have been often compared to the HH357s in performance. For their cost (Vapage) in contrast, they don't seem expensive.
I found the Reo awkward to hold and it never felt good in my hands.

Once again it seems, we are left with Vape Is Subjective. :)

Happy Vapes to all~

Hey Kat, glad you asked:)

Versatility - it accepts all bottomfed RBA's out of the box, no modifications required.

Speaking of Community, Have you ever been to REOvil? There is an entire ECF forum of hundreds of REOnauts sharing and helping. The maker is also very active in the forum. You cannot compare a couple of threads, albeit by some knowledgable folks, here in the Liquid feed forum to the support and sheer volume of information from the hundreds of active, friendly members of the REOsmods ECF forum. It says allot to me that the maker pays for that forum. I don't know why the resellers of the VM don't offer that?

That's all. It's a whole different world over there. Check it out if you get a chance :)

My post was not to you personally but to the person i replied to with their quote included.

I agree that we all are different but i do not blame Vmodians for my decision of going for the REO. It was just my experience and my reasons for disliking the Vmod. ymmv

I do find it odd when a owner/seller of a mod is not available for public interaction of his/her customers. Again ymmv :)

Yep...it's all subjective! I've never said I wouldn't get a REO. Almost did this month...but alas there were no blem Grands when I looked, and I really kind of wanted to learn how to rebuild RBAs before I sprang the $$ anyway. I can do that with my Bogger, so I opted to get a fun e-pipe instead. Mostly due to a whim..and somewhat to go easier on my bank account. Sort of just how the cards fell.

The important thing is to find one's own niche. What works for the individual. The rest is just a matter of personal point of view. It applies to all the PVs and mods out there. It's wonderful when someone finds things that work for them! We're not in a competition nor are our PVs, mods and other vaping gizmos. It's all good!

I like all sorts of stuff, but admit I favor the box form and...recently...pipes! And yes...I do like the Vmod. Also the Bogger. And the Trixie. And the Gripper, and the pipes...and...ah heck. It's all such fun! I am even beginning to get the hang of RBAs! Yay! Who knows? Maybe it'll be REO next month, right?

The reomizer is expected to be back in stock Monday. Please disregard my last post to you.

I am out of this thread due to my frequent misunderstandings!

Reos Mods
Rock your vape girl - chef don't judge :)

Thanks super. :) In fact, I have been to Reo World... yep. Dropped in there round about May of 2011. ;) I love that the Reonauts have such a strong presence and community on ECF! I loved the peeps... the mod just wasn't for me.

I also love the VMOD crew. Smaller yes, but nevertheless passionate and mighty.

I agree with both you and underscore more underscore... I would love love love if we had an actual Vapage presence on any of the VMOD threads. It's always wonderful to have the attention of the maker of the product around for questions, comments etc. And Mr. Rob's a great guy, as most everyone knows. :)

Oh hon, I never took it to heart. I really did have those questions in my mind after reading what you said. I did not take your post as a response to me in particular at all. No worries.

I think I shall go fill my VMOD with Nitelitevapor's NLV GOLD... If I had a Reo, I would fill it with the same!

Happy Days.

Thanks for the replies everybody. I've noticed the same thing here as when I asked the Pro-thingy crowd about the mystique there. As long as you're asking because you actually want to know and not bashing on anybody you get informative, helpful responses. Think I'm gonna have to hang out in the Reo forums for a bit and hopefully run into somebody that has one at a vape meet.
