Are you worried about your candid digit discussion Capt'?

I am, I forgot that under 4.5 volts my display starts using the third left digit, for example it would read 4.6, 4.5, 4.00, 4.35 etc, so that means you could not read what the voltage was easily at 4.4 volts and under ... good grief.... good intentions gone wrong .....

What happens on the couple I just tested, is the far left digit (the one hidden under the wood) is used until it hits 4.4 volts. For example the far left hidden digit will show for example 4.00, 4.05, 4.35, 4.39. It uses all 3 digits until it hits 4.4v. Then it will stop using the left digit and just use the right two that are showing, 4.4, 4.5, 5,5 until it maxs out at around 8 volts.

So basically the way I mounted it, it's only easy to use at 4.4volts and above which fortunately is where most people vape.

Good grief, well, all I can do is offer them at a discount or make new ones for anyone who wants it done right.

Me and my good ideas....

yeah my sweet spot with the hybrid bf atty is 4.23v....

The pot turns the voltage down pretty slow, you could get to 4.4, then watch it cycle down through the digits as you keep turning it down and know when you hit #.23, but that sucks.... I shudda stayed in bed today methinks!

hmmm... I wonder if there's anyway to carefully cut out(or sand out) the blocked part without taking the bottom cap off

I was wondering that too. Make the hole a bit bigger? But, I'm no wood worker and no electrician so I'm gonna trust Cappy on this one.

I could possibly attempt to VERY carefully use a flat bottomed router bit, try to expose that led digit, I know I put a bit of glue there though which also complicates the procedure and I might end up scratching up the led at that spot, then it would show the display ok, but not look pretty anymore. My whole motto revolves around pretty ... oh my poor ladies ...
