The only blue county in Texas!
Cappy made only 4 of the wood cased meters. It was not cost effective. I do believe those left are given as prizes only. Mine is cocobolo:D

They're so pretty! I'm most definitely jealous of you now!

Okay, Cappy. Run a contest in which the prize is awarded to somebody with my exact initials and birth date okay?

you could try bribing spacekitty but I don't think you'd get far~!

I was hoping my simpsons pirate picture would win me that meter ;)

OMG - I just saw a picture of a purpleheart volt meter!! How does one acquire such a thing? Will you be making more? We wants it!

I think you will find Cappy is the most generous mod builder on all of ECF. He had just come of a Memorial Day contest in May and July 4th had even more spectacular prizes. He said it probably won't be till Christmas for the next one.

yeah... the first time I saw that thread about a week ago I just couldn't believe it.
We're talking about six mods here... not one, not two, not three.. not....
but Six! plus some even with batteries and multimeters!

I was like 'you gotta be kidding me...'

Anyways.. I was reading the last page of that thread and saw this picture.
I remember seeing him on youtube but haven't seen this mod.

Been a couple asking if I am still taking preorders, so am going to post this yet again. I spent the day taking apart a mod that didn't work to see what I did wrong (miswired her) and built a bread-board of the new dual switch layout. It worked exactly as intended so now I have to alter a couple jigs for the adding of the second switch and I can get back to work. With that in mind, I will keep preorders open until the schedule is full or start of work monday whichever happens first.

Reposting with updated wood & model availability and ordering info.

Select one from each picture and you have made all the necessary choices. The skull stamp indicates it is not available.

The small catch cup is for 510 atomizer sizes, the larger one can accommodate Cannons or whatever.

All VV mods now use a 25W 3Amp adjustable switching regulator.

Cappy, how many pre order slots are open? Is the new switch information current in the post you bumped? I'm not sure of your plans for this batch. Thanks and I'll keep bumping the ladies :)

I just went back and made several corrections, I think all the info is correct now. I have 5 slots available for cutlass models left and 3 slots for 3.7V buccaneers, I doubt they will all get filled before I start work monday.

p.s., I dropped two variations of the models listed, nobody ever ordered them so why confuse things more, lol

A quick note, I added a half dozen more end cap wood options to the list. They just came in today.

Culrata (sp) would be sweet on purpleheart I think. What does it look like wet cappy? Looks like some purplish streaks in there.

Culrata when wet will look darker than pictured, it has very many variations of dark streaks running through it, it is certainly not uniform in color and can even have an occasional bright spot here and there. It's not a boring wood fer sure, but I don't think any of the shades quite reach a dark purple, at least not in the few pieces I have on hand.

edit; oh yeah, it also has one of the most potent and unique smells of the woods I handle, almost a shame to seal up the smell with finish, ah well ...

I was reading that Zebrawood smells like poo lol

(Goes looking for Zebrawood, finds a big block of it) Hmm, doesn't smell like that to me? Also, I should offer Zebrawood on the list seeing how I just discovered more of it, argggg.... I wonder how many others I might have that arent on the list... ah well, next time I will get it up to date again. I get more wood in several times a month and sometimes loose track until I update the paperwork.
