Note these are rated for 2A@ 48V DC. In other words they are built specifically for the rigors of DC at a voltage that's over 10 times what we need.

No need to take my word for it, they have been in the field for many years, used at 3.7 and 6V in some of the most respected, reliable and recommended mods.

Thats exciting, I'm always willing to entertain better ideas. I will look into getting some of them and from the data sheet they should slide right into the current design. The price is twice what the current switch is but that is a minor concern. I do like the square flush switch though, the squared design matches the outline of the box well. Perhaps I could offer two styles in switches for people who like chrome, and some do. Arrr...

Is this 2A/48v switch the one installed now?

I'm curious if it's clicky and the rating and this is the closest thing I could find in the thread about it. -Magnus

Ohh, don't ye know it. It's hard to put so much into these and send them off, a bit of sellers remorse I'll wager :(

I was using the Cedar mod for a long time, but got the Wenge/Mulberry back on a refund due to a leaking CC, fixed it up and have been using it myself (the same one on the main website page) so I have two now. Been thinking about putting a led into it but maybe a 3rd mod would be nice to have :)

plus it's a collectors edition if it's the first Mark 5 cutlass edition:rolleyes:

First off, I'm catching up on the thread... and it appears the beginning of May were some interesting times. Some knock-down plank walking on the electronics. I'm assuming, at the conclusion, improvement were made if necessary.

Am I wrong in my guesstimate that this is a rolling-release sort of box mod? Every batch has minor improvements in wood and innards? VV, AG, what's your take on that? After my disappointing primate boxx interaction earlier I want to make sure I choose a mod I can keep coming back to for more. -Magnus

Brian is always making new batches of mods on first come basis...he has recently redesigned the vv to allow for a led display and kill switch...he has added catch cups so you now can
choose stand and fill or tilt and shoot methods of feeding.....
Brian has also started using some exotic woods. You can buy more...

Morning Magnus, here is the current switch I am using; http://www.e-switch.com/Portals/0/Series_Pdf/PV5.pdf

Cool. 200,000 cycles? So that's 1000 days or more for me and that's plenty. I often wonder why people ~freak out~ over 1,000,000 cycles or 10,000,000 cycle specs. It seems that you'd die well before that. Or develop a really itchy trigger finger that'd get you killed somehow. ;-) -Magnus

Yes thats the rating but its a DC rating which makes it far more than most of the other 3-4 amp AC rated switches. They are more than adequate. They are made by Eswitch if you wanna see the data sheets.

EDIT or folloow Brians link lol. Guess I opened this page before all the replies :p
