I have been very satisfied in my dealings with PureSmoker.com. The turnaround from placing to receiving my order is very quick (of course Steve and I are both in SoCal so he's got a bit of an edge, I guess). I also think he's got the best/most interesting juice flavor selection I've seen.

As for Trog's Screwdriver: best e-smoking purchase I've ever made... no regrets. The device is as good as advertised and then some.

For the record: I am unafilliated with either CaSH or Trog.

Thanks for the recommendations, lads. I'm really thinking of ordering from one of the more established suppliers, as you suggested.

3 weeks after ordering: Still sitting at home each morning waiting for the postman, only to be disappointed once again. And - that's what really pisses me off - not a peep out of Mr. "smokenotar" Peter Dew (sorry for swearing, I don't normally do that). On their website, they promise "We'll endeavour to reply promptly, wherever possible within 2 hours". What kind of business is this?

I really feel let down by smokenotar and find it unfair to be treated like some crank, just because I expect a minimum level of service. I was thinking that maybe the starter kits are shipped from China, but then they could just write to say, sorry for the delay or whatever. At least I would know where I'm at. But how can they just ignore a legitimate enquiry? If we treated our customers like that, we'd be long out of business.

Ooops, sorry for rambling. I had a bad week, and I just had to get this off my chest.

Only 10 days to go until Christmas, so if I order elsewhere now, I might actually have my first e-cig before the year is over, yippee! intellicig's EVO starter kit sounds interesting and they promise prompt delivery. I think I'll give them a try and hope for the best.

I've not had dealings with Smokenotar, sexy website but very very low prices. Of course a low price is no good if you don'y get the product. If you paid by paypal, try to get your money back, three weeks is too long with no communications.

The Intellicig is an excellent buy, highly recommended, I use them where the Screwdriver might frighten innocent women and children.

That's what I'll do - contact PayPal and try to get my money back.

As for the website, it just goes to show: Never judge a book by its cover. I fell for it anyway, big fool that I am. The prices have been reduced after I ordered, but even very low prices are too high if you don't get anything in exchange.

Standing here in our shop, wishing I had one of those e-cigs to puff on. It's so frustrating!

I ordered 2 starter packs, one pink and one black with blue led, and was very impressed and excited when they arrived. the pink one was for myself but the blue 1 was for my dad.

The pink one produced a lot of vapor and tasted lovely with the vanilla carts, my dad's battery wouldn't stop flashing even though it was fully charged, so we tried the other battery and found it worked, but the pull was so much harder than on my pink one, it was disappointing.

I've emailed the company to see if we can get a replacement battery and atomizer, does anyone know the policy on this kind of thing?

I'm sure they will sort this out for you. The quality of the batteries seem to be getting worse though. Or perhaps I was just lucky with my first ones.

Just got to add another BIG thumbs up for e-cigs.co.uk and his outstanding customer service.

1st he manages to find me a 2nd Shimmer from somewhere, (boy do I love this thing) which was just as well, as the 1st died a few days later  (No warning, no loss prior, one second vaping away like a train, next nothing, nada, zip :( )

I mail Simon, letting him know the problem, having tried everything I could think of, (batteries, reset, cleaning, cpr etc.,) and he sent me out a replacement straight away with no arguments, no fuss, and no quibbles, just a thanks for trying the obvious before mailing him.

Now I know I have a spare again over Christmass (just in case, I don't want to end up on full time analogues again).

Now THAT is what I call customer service! And a good way to build customer loayalty (for me anyway)

...it's clear to anyone who's thought about it for a few minutes that the answer is different for everyone, and you can't say definitively, "A cartridge lasts x cigarettes".
Agreed, it's like asking "Oh, how long does a regular King- or a 100-cigarette last?" Well, it can last about 3 minutes for a regular smoker, and about 50 seconds for a chain smoker.

Smokenotar have a phone number in their FAQ - give them a call. FAQ was at least vaguely honest about cartridge life. Emails might be going to spam folder.

Thanks Bertrand, the spam folder possibility hadn't occurred to me. So I tried the two phone numbers on their website again today, but I didn't get anywhere. Maybe the Freephone numbers cannot be dialled from outside the UK - I tried with and without the international prefix - but the dodgy feeling I've had about this company gets increasingly worse.

Would someone on this forum do me a favour and try the Freephone number from the UK, please? Any sign of life from their side, for that matter, except for the fact that the amount of 61 Euro has been debited to my credit card?

Somehow I can't imagine that this is an isolated case, because if it is - why me? What I would like to know: Is there anyone in this forum who ordered and received product from smokenotar? There must be other frustrated suckers out there who fell for their smooth (and, like you say, Bertrand) honest sounding image. If that's the case, why is their website still operational?

As you can guess, I am not going to let this go and write off my money (plus the money I would have saved over Christmas without the fags). We're in a recession after all and that kind of practice has to be stopped. I'm going to pursue this, even if that means that I have to fly to Stansted and contact the police in Saffron Walden.

So, if anyone has any reports on smokenotar (positive or negative), please post you comments here.

Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone!

I can say that Crown7's response timem for emails is NOT the quickest but they did live up to their word. I purchased a Crown7 kit from a store here in nYc and one of the battery's had a scuff on them, I contacted Crown7 through their website and they actually sent me a replacement, no questions asked, and without me having to prove that I actually had purchased a Crown7 kit.

I just received my new battery today and it is in very good condition. They did use snail mail however, it took a while to get to me, but the trust they gave me was great because I could have kept the other battery but of course I was honest enough to mail it back to them.

~Belowme.

The Crown7 Carts are pretty bad though still because it keeps leaking liquid in my mouth!!!8-o8-o8-o

Poprocks you only ever seem to post to advertise for Crown7. Your credibility took a bash when you were proven a liar about your Hydro on a review thread. I've no idea how you expect us to take you seriously.

You guys don't have to worry so much, all you have to do is call the number on the back of your credit card, talk to a rep, let them no your situation and they will dispute the charges and you will get your money back!

I have done this many times for sites such as notar, There's nothing that notar can do about it.

Also to further pursue it, if you wish, you can go to Untitled or what ever site the better business bureau is and make a complaint there.

lastly, you can also call the DCA (Department of Consumer Affairs) and report them..

If enough people do that they will get flagged for sure and maybe you guys can even file a Class Action Suit against them :thumb:

I too have ordered from smokenotar with no product delivered after 4 weeks. I can confirm the 0800 numbers do not work from the UK and like you when I email I get no response, very poor service. I am starting to think this site is a con as like you my money has been deducted from my account!

That's good news, Belowme (or should I say Belowyou?). I'll tackle that in the New Year,as soon as everyone is back from hibernation. Meanwhile I can try and do some homework, trying to find the site for complaints etc. We might even pick up a few more "victims" to join us in making life a bit harder for Mr. Dew

And then, as soon as I have my money back, I'll be looking forward to my first e-cigarette. That's one of the most annoying aspects of the last few weeks - I was dead keen on having my first puff but had to contend with tobacco in the meantime.

Have a good one!

First of all, Happy New Year to everyone!

Fortunately I'm no longer depressed about this whole business because I'm taking action now! Thanks for the pointers, Belowme! :thumb:

Phoned the credit card company today and emailed them proof that I tried to contact smokenotar. Hopefully they will be able to get the sixty-odd euro back for me.

I also found an organisation handling cross-border complaints on e-trade covering 21 countries (being only a junior member, I am not allowed to post URLs, so anyone interested has to google this - strange rule:confused:). Our chances of shutting them down would probably be even better if other "customers" such as Mac83 reported smokenotar as well.
