Beautiful. Silvervein right? I got that finish on my daily driver. Its durable and still looks as beautiful as the first day. I got a feeling your desire for a provari will be replaced with a greater desire for more reo's. imo there is nothing better and ive played with a provari my co-worker lent me for a day. With the reo grand/rm2, some assorted resistance wire and needle bottle caps to wrap microcoils on, you will quickly forget the days of wanting to suck a tube and buy pricy tanks and gennys that cant compete with a rm2 with micros.

Yeah, it's the silver vein grand. I wanted to get an RM2 but I don't like the airy draw of the side air holes of the RDAs. In fact that modified A6 rda on top of my grand is rarely used. And for some reason I cannot get the flavor I wanted when using RDA with the grand compared to the attys and cartos I'm using. Maybe I need to experiment more. :)

Been using the grand with a Kick exclusively since I got it. My 2 tube mechs and the MVP (got it the same week with the grand) are resting in the drawer. :)

As with the Vari, I still can't decide. Or a VV Grand maybe? :)

Absolutly beautiful. What was your method of putting the shine on that door? Ive got a raw vv grand im interested in making shine. Ive read mothers aluminum mag polish may work. Any tips?

Mother's Mag is perfect! A soft clean rag and plenty of rubbing! Always use a clean spot on the rag. Apply the Mother's in small circles and take it off the same way. Keep a paper towel handy to clean the polish off your hands.

Never Dull Polish is a wadding that is great for keeping that shine!

+1 on the Mothers Mag, and Nevr Dull

(bringing up an old pic for example)

Has anyone here ever made their own drip tips? I have several older deer antlers that I think might make interesting drip tips. I'm just wondering what I would need to do to them to protect them and make them durable. I suppose the larger question is whether I can fashion one without grievous bodily injury resulting?

So I talked to my cousin today. He said only use the tines not the main beams. He said use the tines because they are solid and the main beams are porous. He also said it can be turned on a lathe or worked with power tools well although it stinks like crazy especially at higher speeds. I asked about sealing it with anything he said not to worry it would be fine without anything on it. Hope that helps you some.

Hmmm... you have me thinking now. I wonder how bones would work for tips. Guess a night visit to the cemetery is in order..

Hahaha he said ivory works the same way. Bone doesn't have any solid parts so something that small would be porous through the interior. I don't know that I would want anything porous for a drip tip it would absorb flavor would be my guess.

you would want to put it in a vacuum chamber with some epoxy resin to stabilize it first. If you don't have the setup to do that, drill the center hole larger than you want, take the finished product and set it in a solid block of epoxy. Once it is set, sand and polish the exterior to shape/size, then drill the center hole leaving ~1/32 (or less) wall thickness on the resin.

If you do this inside something as simple as a foodsaver bag, with the tip inside some sort of sheath to allow the resin to surround it uniformly... It should pull out all the air bubbles and seal the natural pores in the bone or antler.

I used this method when I was making Ivory (yes, I know... I'm going to hell) scales for my 1800's straight razor that I gave to my dad before my last deployment.

Updated family photo. VVG has left home and moved across the country, but my adopted Woodie has taken up residence in his old room. Will have to update again next weekend when the baby mini woodie comes home.

How do you like via a vis the Rm2?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I bought one for it's looks. I love the design of it but the RM2 is easier to set up coils on due to space. Overall for the price the RM2 is unbeatable in my opinon. You can see better pics of it here Easily Rebuildable Atomizer - ERA - ERA / Hornet Rebuildable Atomizer Information

Also for looks check out the cyclone at the same place. I don't own one of them although I have thought about buying one, once again only for looks.
