Oh and I remeasured the cart depth (put a straw in, cut it flush & measured it) and it's 18mm deep, not including the little dip in the middle. Maybe make the plug length exactly 1/2 at 9mm?

Wholly mother of vaping I just blew out 5 drops out of my flooded atty. I'm dissecting that cart as I write this. I have been using the BP with the grain running the cart length.

That is how I've been playing with length. I made a jig with a straw the same length as the inside cavity for gage reference. Great minds think a like. 13mm is equivalent to a 1/2". 9mm may solve my flooding issue. So 13x9x6 lets try it. I got plenty of juice.

OK, it kept drying out on me at 13mm and I had to keep shaking it. Very annoying. Just trimmed 4-5mm off, we'll see how that goes!
Well i'm vaping on the same juice but the plug diminsion is 6x9x13 and it seems to be working. No flooding. I'm thinking that the 6x9mm is perfect for sealing. We'll need to play with the length. 
I'm also thinking that the plug can not be any shorter that the distance between the mouth of the cart and the cart internal shoulder. I just measured it and the distance is aproximately 8mm. That would put you right there at 8mm if you trim 5mm off of 13mm. Interesting....

So, you went WIDER but kept the length the same? I'm using nhaler HV, which tends to be tick - maybe your liquid is thinner and wicks through the longer plug better?
I'm at 4-5mm wide, 8mm long and about 9-10 mm deep. Not drying out now!
If I went 9mm long, it compresses too much for wicking. 8mm is about as wide as I can go with this liquid. No flooding at all at this size.
Well just vaped that one dry. I'm not sure vaping 24mg that fast is too smart but ohhh well. I'm gonna try the 6x9x8. *crossed fingers*
Too funny. I just switch from Xhale to HV. You're right Xhale is thinner than HV. The 8mm length seems to be good for the HV. I noticed that if the atty is warm it wicks better but you have to watch out for over heating. I think we almost have it! 4-6w x8L x8d mm for HV
and 9L x6w x13d(?)mm for Xhale. Sweet.
The concept seems to work. Honestly after my first try and flooded out I didn't think it work. Sheeeez this is getting to hurt my brain...wait is me just over nicing.

This is something, I'm sure! Earlier I found that if I got the dry taste, on the next draw, I did a primer puff first and it was just fine! Could be because HV is meant for higher temps - so it just performs better with a warmer atty.
I haven't measured the length of the straw but it is the same debth as the vent ridges so that the plug is resting on the top of the straw and the vent indentations. It worked all fay for me just fine. WHen the draw gets lean the cart is dry. The plug doesn't drop into the cart as the top of the straw combined with the vents combinefed with the straw combinrd with the ridges hold thing in place. Worked great all day long.

Hi Kevin, what material are you using for the plug now? What dimensions too?
I've been having issues on day 2 with the new liquid with the BP plug being sucked into the atty several times - but my plug would be less deep than yours, as my straw was much taller than the vent ridges....

I just switch back to Xhale with the new dimensions. The plug depth is 8mm. It works perfect. This tells me that flow control is dependent on length and width. Depth is important for plug travel stop and atty interface.

I am using the Walgreens version of the PB pads. The dimensions are 5x9x7 roughly. I place that plug into the cart and I have to trim about 1 to 2mm that stick out the top. I cut it flush with the top. This inceased dimension hasn't effected the wicking speed so it still works well on the prodigy. Before this I was having a problem of the filler sticking to the atty bridge and being pulled out when I removed the cart from the atty. This material has so far retained it's shape and density. It also hasn't stuck to the atty bridge and remains in the cart.
So far the needle tipped dropper bottle is working very well. I can refill the cart from the reservoir without disturbing the plug. I insert the needle slowly between the plug and the atty wall on the curved sides of the cart. I squeeze the bottle until the juice rises to the top of the plug,
I have tried the original size plug without the straw but the plug eventually was being pushed down into the cart and losing contact with the bridge. The single smaller OD straw works well so far.

I'm back to using the straw. My plug is 5mm wide, 9-10mm long and 10mm deep (I trim off the excess, as well, so it probably ends up being about 7-8mm in the end. However, when I actually CUT it to 7-8mm, it seems to not expland properly. Cutting it longer and then trimming the excess let's it expand better. My straw is 10mm. I added 2 more vent notches at the bottom, for a total of 4.
I'm now on a new cart - a round tip - and new flavor (HV Mint Chocolate Chip.)
This flavor didn't do much for me using the polyfill, but with the BP I can suddenly REALLY taste the flavor! Now I'll probably tear through this bottle, lol!

I was pleased today I was out of the office and was able to handle the single straw BP plus very well. It lasted a long time and just carried enough carts to switch instead of trying to top off. This is the best so far.

I should also mention that somewhere in this thread I thought I saw someone talking about a needle(ish) type thing that you can buy at the hobby store to put the liquid in without removing the plug...
We use that very thing at work for glue, so if it can handle that I am quite confident that it can handle the "juice"

I personally would like to thank all of the inventive people for coming up with the various mods. I have tried just about all of them and definitely find the best results with RSP mod with the blue foam plug. I've been using it for about a week and get great vape and throat hit for the longest period of time. Just be sure not to over fill the cart. Again THANKS!!!
