K, now mine is basically not vaping at all. lol Thought it was the thick juice, so after 2 separate SR heads, and about 4 tries with 'thinned' vg juice, I got NEW LR heads, and bought a very thin VG (literally about as thick as a vg/pg blend). Loaded it up, waited overnight... flat out NOT vaping. Anyone have any sorta troubleshooting advice for me? lol Going nuts here. Loved this thing, but can't figure out what's wrong with it.

What do you mean not vaping at all? You know lots more about this stuff than I do, but is it firing? I just had to pull the pin on a stardust that was working fine when I last set it down is why I asked.

Another thing that I have tried successfully is you know those lil silicone cap that comes on every clearos, that we have to remove in order to plant a drip tip in their place?

I just took a sharp blade and sliced the top off (1mm) and put that slice in before the drip tip...it has to be thin or the drip tip will be wobbly and we dont want that.

The center hole is already the right size and the diameter is perfect for a complete seal.

I now know why I never ditched them

Hi Rachel, I don't have one of these yet so anything is say is just from looking at the pictures of the parts from Steve's Review. The picture of the tube with the plastic cap covering the coil? I would try raising that plastic cap a bit to allow the juice an easier path to the heating coil. To me it looks like the plastic cap is smothering the wicks.

Thanks, Errol! I'll definitely try that. ;)

As to the question asked before... Yep, its firing, but nothing is happening. lol Just getting ZERO hit or vapor. About every 10-15 puffs, I might get the tiniest baby hit, and a little tiny dragon puff of vapor, but barely, and that's very seldom. Gonna give Errol's advice a whirl, and also gonna try making some of my own diy 100% VG juices VERY very thin... if it doesn't work after that, I'm gonna throw in the towel. lol And if its flat out not working, no matter what, I'll ship it to you, Errol, and hopefully you can figure it out. lol I'd be happy to buy a new one if it meant we'd all know how they work! rofl They're SUCH cool tanks, and so promising, but suddenly having issues with it. Design is so nice, though, I'm hesitant to give up on em.

I kept having to pull my silicone up to keep it wicking properly, as much as I hate having to fiddle with it every 30 minutes, once I have done so, it works very well. No gurgling and great vapor and flavor.

Can you explain 'pull my silicone' a little more detailed? not sure if you're talking the same little silicone cap errol is talking about, or something different entirely. ;) Thanks!

Okie, the silicone that seals the upper part with the little metal pin sticking up for the vapor to come into the drip tip. In the atomizer I was using (lost my second one and waiting on new ones so cannot attest to this being a recurring problem or an isolated one) the cap seemed to reduce the wicking of juice, I would get a hit and then get a burnt taste. So I pulled up on that cap with tweezers while holding down the pin to keep it connected to the atomizer. Then I didn't tighten the top screw cap all the way down. This seemed to fix it for a while, at least until the silicone drifted back down and needed pulled up again.

I tried trimming the silicone a little on the bottom as well, and that worked as well, but you risk cutting too much off doing that and causing nonstop flooding/gurgling. I would suggest doing that when you have had the atomizer for a week or so so if you mess it up you got a week out of it at least. On the flip side, if you cut it right, keep that cap and use it on future atomizers if they have the same issue.

Rach, if you unscrew the top cap, I believe the silicone right under that is what BuddyGoodness is referring to. I pulled it up a little and have a knucklehead drip tip on it and I am not getting anymore gurgle!!! :)

All good ideas, thanks! That silicone plug thing strangling the wicks really makes sense with the vg juice. Will try ideas one at a time, and hope for the best. Oh, wanted to mention... got this new drip tip from DV, and its not the one that's specifically designed for the E2, but it looks AMAZING on it. Really looks perfect, and the slope to it really matches the tank, even better than the one designed for it, I think... REALLY nice feels good in mouth chrome tip, and can't beat $2.50 or whatever I paid for it. Wrong tag on this. Its a chrome 510 drip tip, not green glass. lol

Very creative! But I would slice my hand off if I tried that! lol

If the cap is too long and smothering the wicks, why not cut a little off the bottom of the cap? Replacing the whole inside was, what, $2.99 or something. Even if you screwed up...there you go.

OK, so if I order one, I'll do Martin's rubber non-drip-tip-plug thing...I'm still up in the air about this.

All one has to do is experiment with different size V over the wick, starting small and enlarging it in steps. If it doesn't work out just rotate the cap so the V isn't over the wick.

Arrrrgh, I am frustrated right now! My Apollo tank was working beautifully yesterday. I woke up this morning, got one great hit on it and then it just quit. Its producing NO vapor. None! I tried it on two devices and I got nothin. Any suggestions??

If the coil is firing (making a crackling noise), the silicon cap could be pinching the wick--try pulling the silicon cap up slightly and see if it helps. (You just need to take the top off and rock the little cone head/pip to loose it up and pull slightly--no need to take the tank apart!)
