If the coil is firing (making a crackling noise), the silicon cap could be pinching the wick--try pulling the silicon cap up slightly and see if it helps. (You just need to take the top off and rock the little cone head/pip to loose it up and pull slightly--no need to take the tank apart!)

Thanks Robbie, ill try that! I love your videos btw, you are a great reviewer!!

I raised the silicone thing, I still got nothin, its not even firirng. Any other suggestions??

Given that you had one good puff then nothing there is a very good chance the coil is burned out. About the only way to know for sure is to test it with an ohm meter.

I realize not everyone has an ohm meter but it's almost a necessity for vapors for basic testing. A basic unit that will check volts and ohms is inexpensive, $7 at Harbor Freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-92020.html or this one for $8 with free shipping from China. If the cap is too long and smothering the wicks, why not cut a little off the bottom of the cap? Replacing the whole inside was, what, $2.99 or something. Even if you screwed up...there you go.

OK, so if I order one, I'll do Martin's rubber non-drip-tip-plug thing...I'm still up in the air about this.

FWIW, I think for me, I'll stick with vivi's for now. I haven't used anything else since I got mine til last night when my vtube came in, and my vivi wouldn't go on it. lol Grabbed my phx's I think ce3's? syringe fill thingys and they worked. But now I've even set my vtube down (momentarily), and grabbed my vivi and put it back on my riva batt. THAT's how much I love my vivi! Can't wait to get the adapter and put my vivi on my vtube!

Just purchased 2 Apollo/Excalibur tanks & 1 Stainless Steel 650mah Apollo battery($12) from VC! Can't wait till these come in. Been wanting to try them out since I saw them (and they simply look cool as hell!). And at the prices that VC has, I couldn't pass it up.

It's great to hear good things about them. Will update once they get here (hopefully by Saturday)

You don't really have to go all the way pyrex to make sure you don't get cracks. The Valley View tanks that don't have fill holes on the side are difficult to fill as you have to slip a needle between the carto and the seal. There is no port. And you can't put a side fill hole into pyrex, unless you put some other material there, further complicating things.

I'm planning on picking up one of these. 3ml Triple V Polypro Tank As a newbie here, I've had only one Clearomizer and I killed it in 3 days with some licorice.

It's just the polycarbonate and acrylic you need to not put cinnamon/acidic things in.

Though, even with all the bad news, I'll probably pick up a E2 Appollo/Rocket tank from Rochster Vapor since they have them in colors. I'm reluctant to do so. It's not the money, it's the frustration I'd have if I had the problems I'm reading about here.

I'll tell ya, just posted in the noob thread about those tanks.. and love that they fit a standard boge or a resurrector jr. BUT just noticed, same site has 4ml PYREX glass tanks for only $12!!!! Thats a good THIRTY dollars cheaper than I've ever seen anywhere else! Good site referral, and thanks so much, Wishdog! I don't think I'd trust a poly tank of any makeup with a juice like wintergreen, since they are SUCH a danger when they degrade and mix with liquid..., but the polypro is fantastic for the spicy and citrus vapes! Anyway, for $12 for a Pyrex glass tank, can't be beat! I know loads of people saving for a tank in the $40-$50 range, so they'll be thrilled they can pick one up for the cost of a cheapo dct! Can't wait to see what other goodies that site has for pennies on the dolla'.

oooh, and they have aluminum caps you can pick up at a later date for the tanks! Very very cool! AND carto punches for under $10. Wow... www.valleyvapes.com seems to be cheap tank mecca! And love that they all have a port!
