A low airhole is preferable to one that's too high.

Think about the flow of air from the hole, across the coil and to the drip-tip hole. A low airhole brings air along the coil and up to the top.

Very true.

And if you have ever had an air hole that is too high you know how awful that is; harsh throat hit, nasty taste in most cases.

I need advice with the Richman
I am sure its my fault, this is my first mesh rba
Very little flavor
Dry hits and very harsh hits
My ohms are about 1.8 to 2.2 (they fluctuate
Using the 400 mesh
Could it be that the mesh is too tight?
No hot spots on coils
And I have no idea what the post with the drilled hole is, cloth wick?

What PV are you using it on? Battery size? Is your meter fluctuating? Or is that the reading on a vv mod?

Fluctuating ohms means your connections aren't solid. Go back and re-connect both terminals.

For the rest, there are sources all over ECF for building a genesis wick and coil. If I could give you an answer in a few sentences I would, but it's all been discussed over and over. Look around. :)

I'm not noticing a difference between having the air hole up higher vs where it is at as built. Could be my juice though.

The one problem we do know about with it lower is the air hole weeping slightly.

As for the finish? On my Ice Matte Roller, I think it's pretty damn glorious.

Id like to see a genny with a slightly raised lip around the perimeter and a fill hole thats beveled like the Noble 1. This way the condensation has a better way of getting back into the tank or, of you have a leak because you leave it horizontal like a dummy(myself included)

Evosil98: please consider making this modification to the top caps (but straight and less scratches!)

It makes an incredible difference.

Did you drill another hole(the higher one) because the original hole(the lower one) sits below the wick? Thanks

The lower hole is the factory hole that sits right on level with the deck of the atomizer. The higher one I put in. Loosened the draw a bit and gave me a better flavor.

I also get a bit of condensation leak out of the bottom hole, but I can deal w/that as it does give a good airflow to the bottom of the wick.

Hello everyone, not sure if suppliers are allowed to chat here. Thanks everyone for the comments and concerns. I have read all posts and there are some great ideas here.

I will always continue to improve my products. Thanks everyone for the support. :vapor:

it's a beautiful product, and i can't wait to be confident and experienced to set it up properly and vape it. so far i've had no luck at all with rba's, but that doesn't stop me from trying and trying... and trying. lol. any advice for a complete and total noob and technical ..... would be greatly appreciated.

thanks to all for the pics-please keep them coming. i haven't managed to coil anything properly... yet. maybe one or two brief, dry hitting coils, but nothing mindblowingly awesome yet. it seems to me that rba's are the way to go, but i'm having better luck with cartos for now. i just haven't gotten there yet. but i am amassing quite a collection of rba's, coil, silica, mesh, etc., and i won't give up too easily.

if i do, i'll let you know when i start selling my crap off.

skip all the crap, twist up some mesh that fits the wick hole, burn the end with a lighter. stick a screwdriver in the rba the same size as the wickhole and wrap a coil nice and snug, pull it out slow, slide in wick. drip some juice on the coil and pulse fire it and adjust the coil until it finally evens out. (sometimes takes a bit of work) fill and go.

with a dripper take the wick and hold it with a toothpick wrap the coil attach it pull the pick.

glad to hear your not giving up without a fight, you will be well rewarded once you get it working. my very first geni was a nightmare. only thing that kept me going is i said "everyone else can do it so i will to"

you should start a post just for your attempts and everyone will pile in lol
