Finally received my mini today. I filled it, took two puffs, and it's dead. Nothing. Also it is leaking pretty good out the bottom through the connector. I saw some posts in this thread where similar problems occurred, but no success stories. Any one have a suggestion for a fix or two? I know Chopper will fix it if I send it back, but he's crazy-busy, and I waited so long I don't want to give this thing up if I don't have to.

Come on man cut me a break,I stay up all day and well into the early morning hours building these,a man does get tired.I think the solder joints are breaking on these so I will have to make the solder points better.

After looking into the solder joints more closely.Ive found its the negative post solder that is the culprit.Resulting in the dead fire.Ive come up with a way to go around using that solder point and its perfect so far.I had this problem in the beginning and thought I had it fixed as this has only happened with some of them. Now I know with the new way to ground it there will be no more dead fires on the mini or at least I hope. Please in the future PM me with any negative things and let me post about it as I have done with every issue that has come up.Negative talk will turn people away from something that has great potential as the mini does. With the life time warranty I have on them how can it be negative?all someone would be losing is some time while I get theirs fixed.I know of no other person willing to offer this type of service for their product.I'm the only one in the USA making these for sale,so please be patient with me it's not a easy task by far or a lot more would be building and selling them.

Hey Chopper,

I hope you didn't take my post as a negative one. I was just willing to try to fix the issues on my own and looking for advice from other owners. I do appreciate what you're doing to make this right. I have had pv issues with two other companies, and neither one gave me the service that you are.

No not at all K.I was just meaning if someone is upset to please PM with the problem first and if we can't come up with a solution to it then post it but in a respectful manner is all.I won't hide what I feel whatsoever and if a post bothers me I will let it be known. So to say someones post did bother me some what as to waiting for a reply back.I'm working every minute I can and I just can't keep checking for PM's every 2 or 3 minutes or I wouldn't get anything done.I try my very best to answer each and all and I think most will agree. That I'm doing a damn good job at it being one person.I build, answer the threads, answer PM's,answer emails, check on orders, package up orders, print shipping labels, take orders down,do repairs, order supplies and answer phone calls.Plus I have a family that needs me during that time and I have pets to take care of.Has all this run me down?yes a little but I would not trade it for anything as I love making things.Ive made some very good friends during the process and I'm thankful for that.I get about 3 or 4 hours of sleep a day and that is not much but I push on because my will to support my family is stronger then any attempts of failing.

You can try this as its worked for me at times not sure why just did. Before you fill the syringe with juice insert it into the DC and pull back on the plunger to vacuum out any air that may be still inside. Then fill the syringe with juice and try filling. Not saying its a fix but has worked for me.Or you could try filling through the center of the wick by inserting the syringe into the wick carefully.
