I don't mean to sound insensitive but really? I can't believe any high school student would expect to be allowed to vape in school. I mean come on...
I assumed that the OP was in college before it was clarified. But even if it was a college campus I don't know that I would have a problem with a ban. If smoking had been banned on my college campus I wouldn't not have started smoking.

I don't think smoking should be banned on college grounds, nor vaping.
Smoking should not be allowed inside any building including dorms.
I'm not sure about vaping being allowed in dorms but I'm leaning towards probably not.
Smoking is allowed outside at my kids' campuses and neither them or their friends really cares. My kids don't smoke or vape.

This is probably a more reasonable approach. I started smoking because the girl across the hall from me smoked and we'll, you know how that goes. So I agree, no smoking in dorms. OK on campus, but I think many campuses are banning smoking.
Yes, I agree, because it's a school and not because of the age of the students. So that's what I meant by rights being rights regardless of age, and building rules being building rules regardless of age.

Great Caesar's ghost, man! I think you need a great big fat dose o' Calm Down. Why so defensive? And psst...by the way: before you correct others' grammar skills: 1. It's "you're," not "your;" and 2. it's "I'm," not "Im."

I get you on this, hon...but really, I don't think the OP was expecting it to be allowed...he just said he was confused about the logic behind the rule.
It doesn't sound to me like he's taking a big stand about it or anything.
I'd probably be taken aback too if he'd come out with both barrels cocked but it sounds to me like he's willing to follow the rule, he's just confused about the reasoning.

For example;
If you read, clearly I said "by age standards.........

Theres really no need to argue if were in agreement on this is there?
Next time you guys decide its pick on zapped day please let me know so I can skip the conversation entirely.
What I find amusing is a rant post on grammar and punctuation containing numerous grammar or punctuation errors.
I am with the consensus that a ban on e-cigs in high school is a wise policy. We should not be supporting policies that even look like they might encourage youth non-smokers to try a drag on the OP's set up.
The typical high school and college level class sessions are 45-60 minutes from bell to bell. It can't be that hard to hold off for an hour, can it?
