Finally got my SS Serpent today :)
I read this thread awhile back but I must say a lot of good info has been posted since, thanks everyone! It's all cleaned and drying tonight after a good hot bath.
I've been using the Lemo 2 for a year, tried a dozen others but kept going back to it. Sure hoping this beauty is my new goto. If so, I'll have to find something to do with the 11 Lemo 2 back up glass tanks, lol. I started ordering them by the 1/2 dozen after breakng 3 in a week (even with a band on).
Guess it's obviouse I'm rough on my vape gear!

Has anyone broke the glass on this guy?

The Serpent is much better on juice consumption vs the Griffin. Flavor is better on the Serpent too. Comparing it to Griffin isn't really fair, the Griffin is a dual cloud blowing machine with great flavor vs the Serpent that's a single coil flavor atty. I have both & like both for various reasons.

So the Griffin takes more juice for the same flavor and it gives more clouds. Hm...fishwater...if you lose both...witch one would you buy again?[emoji14]

Well since my Serpent has developed a weird wobble in the base that makes it difficult to lock into TC mode on some of my mods & my Griffin has been issue free.....meh, still a tough call since I love both of them.
The weakest link in the serpent is that JFC assembly. If they could somehow incorporate the spring loaded chimney i have in my fury tank with the deck in my serpent that would be the perfect tank...

I have absolutely no problems with the JFC on the Serpent, but realize some do. Both my SS and Black one work perfect. The black one is harder to turn the JFC and AFC, but not bad.
I have absolutely no problems with ignoring the JFC completely, lol.

serpent is my go to atty now, I've already retired my STM, which I used for a year.

I really love this tank even if it's creating an annoying sound! lol!
If adjusting the afc doesn't help, maybe look at the position of the coil, could be a tiny bit too close to the airhole (weird word). My serpent is the most quiet tank i have, sometimes even use it in bed to stealth vape and not wake up my gf. Still love my STM's too though, close call but they come in second, after the serpent, not after my gf.

yeah probably the position of my coil is too close to the airhole, will try to move it up abit and see if there's any difference with the sound it producing.

How in the HELL do you get this @#$%@#$@#$ thing to not @#%@#$@# leak?

I've wicked heavy. I've wicked light. I've left tail in the juice channel. I've made sure the juice channel is clear. I've barely had the @#$@#$ juice control cracked and STILL leaking after several draws in succession or if when the juice hits the the top of the bell section.

Tell me more about ur wicking?
I have a 3.0 mm fused Clapton in the serpent right now....
    When filling
Make sure JC is completely shut!
Shut the top cap halfway close
Flip the tank upside down, let juice flow back!!
Then flip the tank back while turning top cap fully close
    Open airflow
    Give it a few hit
    For thinner juice
    Slowly open the JC
FOR THICKER JUICE open it halfway...
Then slowly open the JC according to ur juice pg/vg ratio....
I never ever have leaking on mine... 2x black

3mm spaced coil, 28ga kanthal. Have also tried contact coil and twisted.

For wicking, re-read my post. I've tried a dozen different ways and it still happens. Doesn't matter if the juice control is barely open (1/4 turn) or further (up to 1.5 turns).

I already fill that way...and just how would not burping it affect the leaking when the tank is HALF EMPTY>????

Have you tried the O ring fix discussed previously in this thread?

I'm torn with this tank.. I want one, but I hate press fit stuff. If they made a Serpent 2 with replaceable glass and ditched the JFC.. I'd bust a nipple.
It is honestly a very good tank, have not had a single issue yet
