Thanks for the reply major! Yea , when i was using the 0-ring i also experienced zero leaking. But i was using max VG at the time, and the O-ring seemed to limit my juice flow to the wicking to the point i was getting dry hits. Used a couple different diameter rings too and still had the problem. Also will the juice , or normal threading down on the O-ring eventually cause it to fall apart and leech into the juice? thats another one of my concerns. Hows your O-ring holding up> Do you just take a look at it every few cleaning sessions and make sure it's not degrading in any way? Thanks again!
Check the O rings every week when I clean and rewick. No degradation noted. [emoji106]

Help guys I'm SO frustrated!

The deck won't come off/unscrew!

I've put it in the freezer, used Irwin Quick-Grip with vise Grips...
Tried turning both ways and believe it's turning (juice channel for sure) but never unscrews!!
Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong :(

The deck should just pull out straight without turning.
oops my mistake. base does unscrew. I was thinking of a different atty.
watch a review video on YouTube. like this one

OK, soooo...

Mine decided to jump from my hand the other day, on to the concrete floor. Thankfully the glass didn't break, but now the JFC is a bear to turn. Not a huge deal, since I leave it open while filling :D. I still have yet for this thing to whizz all over my mod. I do get a slight weeping after I rebuild/rewick, but that's pretty much it. Still really dig this bad boy!

Haha I've been there. Wipe the juice really good and use some rubber gloves to get a better grip. Works like a charm ;)

Ahhhh leo.... From the looks of it i really have been skimping out on the cotton compared to how you build. I'll give that a go next time. As for the popping no shorts, think my mod would tell me? lol it's supposed to. But you do have me thinking now that maybe on some of my builds i have the coil too high and the chimney is hitting it. Which would make sense as to why sometimes the JFC seems to not want to go down all the way, and i've also been getting ohm jumps constantly. Nothing dramatic just one vape it will be 0.70 the next 0.71 then go down to 0.69. I think it could be my mod though.

I think i'm going to go for a nice clean regular old kanthal build for the next coil build and give the claptons a rest.

Also one more thing that i keep forgetting to mention. When looking through the glass windows on mine, my juice channels are NOT visible! they are off to the side. Been like that since day 1. Are somne of them just like that? i've seen videos and the juice channels are clearly visible through the windows when fully opened. I think i read on here or on a comment on a video that you can somehow turn it to show? i don't think it would be worth the risk? what do you guys think? it's really not a problem.. but i do like being able to see the juice bubbles. But hey! as long as it's working why do something that could possible make it worse.. right?

Hey i also like to runa magnet over my builds after clipping leads and grabbing any scraps that may be on the deck. But could this also cause problems? such as magnetizing the whole coil/posts and can in turn make the clippings STICK to the base/coil?

Off topic but does anyone know of a good charger that DOESN'T have those damn sliders for the batteries that you have to stick one end of the battery on and slide down? i have the efest luc 2 bay charger, and it's like it's made to mess up the batter wraps with how the batteries are placed in. I'm extra careful , but it always concerns me.. hello ocd :p

Thats happened to me before to DHolly. Usually if i have the top fill cap screwed on while i try to unscrew the base. I think it causes a vacumn and the top needs to be taken off first. Or it may just be stuck! in which case like someone has mentioned the rubber gloves, but i like to use those rubber gripping pads that you would normally use to open a tight jar.

The top cap doesn't need to be off to unscrew the base. I have 5 and have never taken the topcap off at all except to fill. Those gripping pads are wonderful.

I'm kinda surprised that many of the more famous youtube reviewers haven't made a follow up on how the serpent is doing. cause everyone of them i have watched have said they had no probldems with leaking after after using it for days/weeks. But many lesser known video reviewers bring up the leaking! are you telling me that the famous reviewers have all gotten perfect serpents, with no leaking problems who have had the serpents sent to them by wotofo? but the reviewers who went out and bought them are the only ones having the leaking issues ?
like them i have had no problems what so ever with leaking, ever, and i have had a few serpents. i think alot of people are using to little wick, i jam my channels full and never get dry hits, i vape it at right around 5 volts, or 36 watts with the included .68 ohm coil, which i really liked, even after using several SS TC builds and some claptons in it, the included wire is my favorite for it. not sure it really is a leaking issue when some people have it and some people dont. i dont even close the juice flow when i fill and cant get it to leak. i store it in my cars center console on its side and it wont leak. im sure the only way i could get it to leak is to leave the fill port off and walk away for a while. and i get no dry hits.

Yes you can turn it, posted somewhere in this topic also, but i don't know if you risk breaking it.

I see no point in doing that, i use a nailclipper to cut the wire, i couldn't care less if there were scraps left behind, which probably are not. It seems quite impossible to me to inhale those scraps, if that might be your concern.

Not that i know, the sliders enable you to charge different sized batteries, but they do indeed ruin your wraps. That's why i bought Shrinkable Battery Sleeves and Paper Insulation Gaskets to rewrap 18650's.

you do risk breaking it, its not all that hard to break

Im guessing they will apply the same design to this same size since the design of the mini looks promising.
man, since you posted that ive been picturing this 25mm monster serpent, that would be super sexy with like an 8 mil juice cap. on it
