People are used to seeing what they normally see. I'm not a big vape shop guy, but at the half-dozen shops I've visited (infrequently - like maybe three total visits a year) the only females I've seen were in the company of their SO, and if they were vaping, it was something along the lines of an Ego and a CE4.
If I were to draw conclusions based on those observations, I would form an incorrect theory.

Fortunately ECF has shown me the truth!

Now, if you're gonna tell me that girls fart, I'll call you a liar!

Yeah, but I bet your ankles were showing, you brazen hussy! :p

My ankles are ALWAYS showing. Gotta flaunt what you've got! Haha.

The only time I experienced a negative feedback for being a female vapor because of me being a woman is from another fellow female vapor. There was a woman who came into the same shop I was, and told me that I was a disgrace because I was "just there trying to attract guys by vaping big clouds". I was sitting on the couch ON MY PHONE. The guy who owned the place has been my friend since I was 9! I wasn't there, chest out over the display case, giggling through vape-talk. I was there supporting a friend (and bringing him his phone because he leaves it everywhere he goes).

Yes, fellow female, please feed into the idea of how my tobacco harm reduction is my way of attracting the opposite sex.
Looks like maybe your friend has a groupie, or a stalker.

Well, I'm a guy and I've been vaping for nearly 6 months.. Still have never built a coil yet. About as far as I got was a failed wicking attempt on my subtank rba and gave up indefinitely. I do sort of want to learn but I have a feeling by the time I get through these 30 SSOCC coils I bought, I might be done with vaping altogether since I'm vaping less and less and don't even bring my vape to work or when I go out in the car at all anymore.

Part of the reason is I'm a busy man with too many other hobbies to occupy my time.. I guess I just haven't got around to it. Every time a coil burns out, I tell myself, "Ok, I'm going to try wicking this thing again" but I never do since I'm fully stocked with plug and play coils and they are just way too convenient.

I don't think being a man or woman have anything to do with it though.

They keep building and selling pre built heads, vape shops keep opening up and selling items at ridiculous prices. Someone is buying that stuff at those prices and I doubt they're here on this forum.
I am one of those people, and I am here on this forum.

My time is worth a lot more than my money.
And I'll pay more money in order to spend less time doing just about anything.

That's why I hire gardeners and maids.
And that's why I hire lawyers and electricians.

We all have to decide where it's best to spend our time.
And our money.

There's wimmens who make coils? What?!?!?!
When do they have time, after doing housework all day: laundry, vacuuming, dishes, etc., and then having hubbys dinner ready when he gets home after a hard day at the office?

Most women don't build coils for the same reason most women don't do their own oil changes in their car. They simply aren't interested in anything mechanical.

There was a study a few years ago that asked women what their single most important thing that they look for in a car was. The number one answer....... Cup Holders.

Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Unfortunately, my wife isn't one of them. In fact she was all ready to throw her mod away yesterday because she kept getting a "check atomizer" error. I opened it up, cleaned the spring loaded pin that she had allowed to get so grimed up that it wouldn't move, and like magic, it worked. She was so impressed.

I'd like to see a man who could maintain a sewing machine - lots of fussy mechanical bits.

I searched for pics of my dad. Don't have any on my phone. You'll have to wait until I'm back in town.

P.S. He's an ex-marine, biker and trucker.

And HIS sewing machine is second generation and although the table is aging as expected, the actual machine, despite decades of heavy petting, is in pristine, like new condition.

Sewing machines are super fun to fix. My gran, mom and sister love me. They all have ancient singers. Some of which I made custom Teflon bits for!

Anyways, my 2cents, the lovely ladies I know who build coils, are as good or better than myself. I've helped them, they've helped me. It's a great system.

I think the most unnecessary 'sexism' in vaping, is a few vape shows I've been too. Having the scantly clad women. I see it as gimmicky, like even the Toronto international car show had the same.

Ahh, now that is sexist.

I happen to be quite good at sewing and maintaining a sewing machine. Got an old Singer 404 at home that I've used MANY times. And for the record, not only have I been able to maintain it, when it finally broke after a couple of decades of use I opened it up and replaced the wiring and motor with a new one. How many people, male or female do you know that can do that?

But I'm the exception to almost every rule. I'm equally comfortable sewing and cooking as I am building race cars and running computer networks.
