has anyone besides me noticed that you can taste the rubber plug semi-often when vaping?

my 510 carts dont have the little shelf thing for my plugs to rest on so i slice off a thin piece and use a notched piece of straw to support it. iv tried playing with the height of the plug and trying to get it to where the atomizer just barely rests on the hole. i have noticed though that the more it touches the plug the more i can taste it, so much that i dont even taste the flavor of my liquid anymore. but the further away from my atty, the more it will flood it..

also... for those who "bake" their putty, what temp do you bake it at and for how long? cause i have 1 plug that i made 2 days ago and it hasnt cured for some reason... *shrug*

Make sure you get equal amounts when mixing the putty...if not it will not cure properly and stiffen up too quickly or never at all...kinda like any two part epoxies or body filler. I baked then trew in boiling water for a few minutes to was any residue away.

Is it a cart mod? or is this the secret project black lite we were talking about? :D

Hey, I am normamly a lurker and not a poster, I have learned alot on this forum and try to keep up with everything daily.

I currently have and use the 501 . Ego sent me a few of his mods, one with a vent hole and one with out.

I have tried both versions the past few days, and I actually can't make up my mind which is better, I do find that I get more vapor with the one that does not have the vent hole. BUT The one with the vent hole does have more flavor. SO it is a toss up on the two, I have taken both to work with me and in the past I have used the blue foam and I like that too, BUT it did leak alot, especailly at work, NOW using this version, there has been no leaking (with both) ....I am a happy vapor!

Thanks Ego!!!

Okay - I've read every post on this thread, but apparently my comprehension isn't what it used to be. Is the wire mesh used solely for stability; and if so, shouldn't this mod be solid enough (when cured thoroughly) without mesh for structural support?

We don't have a Hobby Lobby or Michaels that is less than an hour away, so I bought the stuff on eBay. Here's a link for anyone else having trouble scoring this product.

Amazing Mold Putty New NIB - eBay (item 270500199046 end time Feb-09-10 20:55:47 PST)

I'd love to hear more feedback from any other folks using this mod!

I dont use the wire mesh. I have noticed that it holds up just fine after putting it in the over. I actually put it on top of my desk light (hot metal) and let it sit there while I surf the web (20minutes). No wire mesh is needed.Just a 2mm x 2mm hole, or 1 1/2 mm hole with paperclip air vent. If you make it like on page 24 (nicotimes post) it will work also, without the wire mesh.

No problem! Hope u can find some amazing mold putty around you, some people are having a hard time finding it. I asked hobby lobby if they had it and they said no, then I went and looked myself at that same hobby lobby and found it.....lol
