You still need a vapor channel or passage.
I agree... That is hy I was thinking of usinga spacer between the bridge and the first plug... probably have enough room for say 2mm... and then, the atty could hold probably 1ml or maybe a touch more of juice. Then, you have the juice in the cart plaus its plug.

Can you provide pics? maybe it will help others.
I will try to do sme pics .. I might just go ahead and attempt this to see if it will even work.. If it does it gives me an even better idea but I will reserve that for later.. I am charging up my camera as we speak and will have to get some materials to do this.. so, I will report back on this in a little while.

FINALLY! I was actually able to find something LOCALLY!

I just made the plugs and am anxiously awaiting midnight so I can pop them into hot water.

Should be testing around 12:45-ish.

And Wireguy, my HL had 10 kits on the shelf...WOOT!

I will be on for awhile checking ur update to see if u have questions. I made one today with a size 20 star tool. It works just fine without the air hole. Might want to try it if the side air hole is hard to make. (directed towards everyone)

HA! I got the last one at my HL. Botched the first one going to try again when all the distractions settle down.

Yeah, it can get hard to work with in that tiny cast. Trying to figure out what to use to make an x cut so the bridge can push it perfectly open. Think I will stick with the size 20 star tool though, seems to work perfect. No drying out, no flooding and dont have to shake it ever to get it to wick.

Well, I got distracted so the 12:45-ish test was more like 2:30-ish test...

I made one for a 510 and one for an 801 (both with the vent hole added). The 510 is working great, even at 6V, but the 801 at 6V...not so much.

I put a straw inside the 801 cart as it has no ledge like the 510. It dried right out, leaving almost all of the juice in the cart. I tried different lengths of straw...same thing.

Sooooooo...looks like it's gonna be a 510 cart mod for me.

Good mod.

Dont have a 801 cart so I cant help ya. I would try the size 20 star toll with no air vent. Seems to work solid. If you dont have a size 20, just stretch it out with whatever u are using.

So I finally found some mold putty at Michaels yesterday. I did a few of these plugs and its working great on a 510 cart. I made them as thin as possible (about 1/16") some with the vent hole and some without. Also I made a X in the center (was being lazy and didn't want to look for the star bit) I cut the X withe a razor blade after it had partially cured. I tried one with a longer straw so that the plug was flush with the end of the cart, this one seemed to work the best. I left it in the atty overnight to see if it would leak or flood the atty, but nothing!!
Same results at both 3.7 and 6v.

Great find Ego! Thanks

Wow, so you can make like 10 plugs out of one I make. Slicing it like bread with a razor blade to the thickness you want. Nice idea.

I make them 3/8 of an inch to eliminate the straw.

Trying something new to see if its way ezier to make for people who dont want to cut up carts or find special tools. Keep ya updated!

My question is .... could a diameter plate be installed in a high bridge 901.. I mean there is a lot of space in these atties and the way I see it .. I would think a spacer could be dropped directly in the atty.. then, this plug... fill the atty with fluid and then, fluid in the cart with its plug.. then, walla..... you have even more fluid capacity. It makes sense to me because comparatively a 510 titan has an atty like this --- and the 901 high bridge atty I have is like this ------- .. They are extremely long with a lot of wasted area. What are your thoughts on this!!

I have been trying a few different ideas with enlarging the reservoir, not as easy at it sounds. Scott is right about still needing the vent hole/vapor channel. If anything you will need to do it in a 2 piece mold, but still haven't figured it out yet. Does any one know if the putty sticks to cured putty? Gues I know what I'm doing today....

Damn...this stuff is SOOOOO much easier to work with than the silicone. I had to work the silicone with the lighted magnifier loupe I used when I was a machinist. Bad thing about silicone is it sticks to EVERYTHING except what you want it to.

I found it at Micheal's after the brilliant manager said they don't carry anything like that...it was where the plaster of paris stuff was. I even made some fake boogers for my kids...works great.

Again...Excellent find Ego.

Yes it does. Thats how you fix holes as seen on this video at the 4:00 minute mark

Yep, thats what i did, I figured I could get an extra drop or 2 in the cart. Not so easy to cut the putty as it compresses a lot while cutting, make sure that blade is super sharp.

I'm gonna roll some out and see if I can use the cart like a cookie cutter...

lol... I just made one by using a 510 cart and an old atty. I filled the cart about 1/4 in deep with putty and pushed it in the atty and pulled it out.

The center hole is the imprint from the atty (seems to make a square shape). I then used a paper clip end to round out a hole and 2 air holes on the side.

Thinking maybe a square tool will work best after seeing the bridge imprint.

Heres some pics of it curing in my cart. I will then pull it out and trim it down to 3/8 of an inch deep.
