Can you talk a little bit more about your experience when upping the nic to 25mg/ml salts?? Did you sub-ohm, are you vaping more etc. etc....
I'm waiting for some benzoic acid so I can make my own salts and was intending to use 36mg/ml in a mtl device so interested in how it went for you sub-ohming.
I am using premade nic salt 25mg juice from my local vape shop. I am sub-ohming using a .26 ohm coil and mod from SMOK at 80W. I may up the potency to 40mg for my next bottle of liquid. I am probably vaping more as I build up a tolerance but it is far more satisfying than freebase liquid.
I bought some commercial nic salt juice to try to see if I liked it before buying a bottle of nic salts for diy. I enjoyed it and will move forward with my diy using salts instead of freebase. I use mesh coils that ohm around .16 and vape 25mg and 40mg nic salts. The 40mg is a bit much but when I diy I’m gonna shoot for 25mg-30mg. When I blow out through my nose it sorta takes my breath away but I like not having to constantly vape. A few hits every half hour to hour satisfied my nicotine needs. I hear nic salts last longer as well which is a plus since I’m gonna get a liter of 100mg salts which will take a while to go through. Now if Nicotine River will run that sale they promised for mid-December I can order my supplies. Also cloudy crystals tobacco creme and ripe vapes salt water taffy are two fabulous flavors for you folks that buy your juice. Even though I mix my own I may have to buy more of this juice, it’s that good.
Personally I think everybody is making WAAAY too big of a deal about salt vs freebase. I use both. No difference that i can tell. Ive vaped both, side by side. No noticable difference. Its my opinion that if someone thinks they can tell the difference, its all in their mind. They are convincing themselves that there is a difference when in fact there is none. Even saw a post here once where someone said they could even taste salt. I blew a snot reading that one, i laughed so hard. But i guess this topic will never rest. Even if the entire vaping world finally realizes there is NO DIFFERENCE, someone will come along and swear it aint so. You can vape nic salt at sub ohm, but like freebase, you cant go real high on the mg. Or you can if you can handle it. At above ohm, you can go really high on the mg, if you can handle it. This applies to salt or freebase equally. Throat hit is like flavor. Its different for everybody. And nicotine isnt the only factor for throat hit anyway.
There is a noticeable difference in throat hit between freebase and salts at high mg. Outside of that I detect no real differences.

That’s the danger, right? The idea for most of us is to minimize intake and reduce risk. Salts are great for knocking you on your read end and I agree that I can get a hit off of it that puts an analogue to shame. But is that actually a good thing?
I dig the Aspire Cobble (horrible name not withstanding). It has only moderate draw resistance and it doesn’t look like you’re dragging on a LEGO. It’s very much a MTL rig though, so if you’re not into that it won’t work for you.
Nic Salt is definitely a good option when 18mg doesn't give you the throat hit that you want. You can also try liquid's with more PG, that worked for me!
