I wrapped my copper clone with 1" heatshrink when I first got it, and it came out pretty nice too... feels really good in hand, no matter how much juice residue it has on it.

I've been using an Infinite SS for about a week now (the only clone that's confirmed one-piece as far as I know), and it's time to wrap it with heatshrink too.

Interesting. How much was the infinite one, and where'd you pick it up at? I do want another SMPL, and perhaps an infinite one would be good.

$46 at Elev8 Vape.

Ahh, ouch, and I thought the white a-mod SMPL I was looking at for $28 was too rich for my blood. If it is truly one piece I guess I wouldn't mind paying that much for one, but I know the wholesale price is definitely sub $20, so it seems a bit pricey to me still.

Maybe, but peace of mind knowing that the oxidation that occurs between two metal surfaces with nothing but air between them (as with any non-serviceable pressed-in top cap) is NOT going to happen is worth the extra cash in my mind. I forgot to mention they have a 15% discount all this month with coupon code "jan15".

Touche. I'll definitely consider the Infinite then, its not that much more after the coupon code.

Anybody try a Kayfun 4 on these mods? I've haven't had success getting mine to work, going to try a different battery next.

so, just got FT 1:1 SMPL today in copper. i like it. it does have that limitation of using atties with long 510. 4nine and praxis are more forgiving in that sense. however, the button is amazing. it's a simple button that doesn't need any tweaking. just pop in the battery, adjust the battery rattle and you are ready to go. with magma, the button will not sit receded. about .5 mm sticks out. but that won't cause auto fire. the action of the button is smooth, and as with the simple set up, it's a joy to use. i should try origen RDA on it.

Are they really solid copper? I thought my penny clone was, cause that's what my b&m told me. Had it for some months and have loved it. It's my only mech so I use it all day every day. Just started to notice that the copper PLATING is wearing off! I sure didn't expect that! It works so I'm not upset, just wish I would have known before I decided to buy it. Anyone else having the same issue? I posted here because I want the smpl clone too, but not if its not copper like they say, I would maybe splurge for the authentic. Any thoughts?
