After not being blown away by realistic flavor from "Wow Coffee Bite" (tried it without drinking coffee), I wasn't expecting this to have a realistic chocolate flavor - BUT IT DOES! It's like sniffing Hershey's powder! I can't imagine how any snuff is better than this flavor/smell wise. And since it has relatively little nose-burn, it's got to be the perfect newbie snuff. Now I see what you guys mean by a "dessert snuff" - it's as good as having some chocolate cake! And what's better is that the smell has good staying power, so you can still smell it for quite a while after intake.

P.S. Now that I've tried the swiss-chocolate, I can't see myself ever using the coffee-bite. So, if anyone wants to trade for 25g of Wow Coffee Bite (with hardly any missing), I'd take any snuff, snus, or even eliquid for it. If you want, I'd also throw in a pouch of Discreet Full Flavor and Emerald Ice Snus with one portion missing from each, but can't say that I recommend them, lol. Also, if I try and don't particularly love any of the other flavors from my OP, I may just throw those in too - so if any might interest you, let me know and I'll try them to see if I want them or not.

Voltaire, is that a bride with the Discreets.:D You make me think twice - since I like the Discreets. Sorry, I guess I have to pass, too. I know some really like the Wow Coffee Bite and it's one that I can't do too often either. It's really good and smells like coffee to me-plus I'm a big coffee drinker even, but I think it's one of those things that boils down to not liking the smell of coffee in my nose....I like it only when I drink it and it has to be Folgers.:D

I find it interesting that I think like that, but that's how that one worked out.

But, I still have plans for it...I ordered some vanilla beans from the Snuff Store over the weekend (which I just went back and can't find them, so maybe they sold out?). Anyway, if that doesn't work out, I may mix it with something vanilla and change it just a little, so it doesn't seem like coffee.

Now I'm wondering what else I might mix it with...hmmm.

I just took my first sniff of snuff today. I was expecting to be blown away and fall on the floor in spasms of pain, but it was very pleasant.

I'm using Toque Lavender, which seems to be a good newbie snuff. I tried the pinch method, but I think it's a bit too messy at my skill level, so I've removed the cap off a ballpoint pen and use the long part as a spoon to scoop the snuff out of the tin and put it up to my nose - I think I'll have to buy a good snuff spoon sometime because this looks rather cheap. A bullet sounds like a good idea, too. There are metal ones that look decent.

Okay... so how did it feel? There was a slight initial burn when I took my first sniff, but subsequent sniffs (I can't stop) with increasingly more snuff don't give me that feeling anymore. The Lavender is not overpowering in my nose, and I can't really taste anything. (My nose is a bit blocked today, though.) I thought my nose would run like crazy but I'm able to take a few sniffs once in awhile without needing a tissue.

As for nicotine hit, I can feel it, but it's not overpowering. I'm a cigar smoker, too, so I thought I never really smoked for the nicotine, but I can definitely feel the relaxing lightheadedness and calm.

I also purchased Toque Original, which is their tobacco base. I haven't tried that yet. I'll have to wait till the lavender clears from my nose.

I wonder if anybody could recommend a snuff that smells like a fine cigar wrapper? I could stick a cigar up my nose, but that would look silly!

Damn. Snuff collecting could get addictive.

BlueSun, Welcome!

I remember my 1st try recently and how scared I was of it, too. Now all I can think is why I hadn't heard much about this before-it's great:)

Sorry I can't help you with any that smells like a cigar, but maybe someone can.

And you're so right...snuff collecting can get addictive.

Thanks sunset,

I kept reading "horror" stories from first-time snuff takers, so I was expecting the worst. I can honestly say that this experience is going very smoothly.

How often do you people snuff? Right now I keep wanting to take another sniff as I'm sitting here at the computer. How much is too much?

PS: Not a single sneeze!

Hi BlueSun, welcome to snuff. I haven't too many answers to you're questions, but I thought I would share what I found for a snuff spoon. I use a pipe nail (I think thats what it's called). It has a blade shaped tip that works well for me. I picked it up at a tobacco shop today for 75 cents. The only thing I need to do to it is take a dremel and grind a bit of a bowl in the flat part. Not much of one, just enough to scoop sniff into.

I just can't do the pinch either, and all I have are smash boxes, so I found that.

I've just tried Toque Natural (not Original, sorry). Now this is nice! A smooth tobacco smell with a bit of flavour in the mouth noticed.

I would prefer a much stronger tobacco flavour, though. Recommendations? Something that lingers.

You might try Molens Latakia Ao 1860

It is tobacco flavor and last long, the Molens snuffs are the longest lasting ones I have tried.

NTSU is tobacco, but it is pretty strong stuff, smells like a very dirty horse stall until you dry it out.

Yes, welcome to the world of snuff Blue! You sound a lot like me when I first decided to try snuff...especially when you first get your snuffs and want to keep on sniffin'! Just make sure you clean out your nose from time to time, because if you switch between different snuffs throughout the day, you want to be able to distinguish between the flavors!

I haven't tried the Toque Lavender, but I understand it is quite smooth. One of my first snuffs was the Toque Pomegranate, which is incredibly smooth to sniff, but always leaves me wanting another! For the most part, toque has a lot of very smooth snuffs, but I haven't tried them all. If you are looking for a toque with more of a kick to it, I recommend the Toque Lime Toast. This might be the snuff that gives you your first snuff-sneezes, and might leave you on the floor lol...my first time with this stuff it brought tears to my eyes. I wasnt expecting it to be so strong!

I, too, am not the best pincher. Bullets work nicely on the go/in the car(if you choose to snuff in the car). I like that pipe nail Skrymr, I might have to go buy one! Right now I either use a guitar pick(which works quite nicely), or I use a key. Sometime I use this keychain tool I have, which has a nice flat screwdriver at the top that scoops nicely.

I actually just found a little spoon that was un-used in my DIY e-liquid kit that might work nicely! Attached a picture with some other things for size comparison(25g tin of toque coke, bullet of toque pomegranate, 5g tin of wos irish toast22, and a can of general mini mints).

Just found a thread on snuffhouse that talks about snuff spoons

While I was researching snuff, I came across a funny post on a cigar forum:

snuff is nasty horrible stuff, I worked over 7 years with a German construction company before going back to school and getting my degree and I worked with alot of snuff addicts.

They stink of it, they inhale so much that they have sweat that smells like snuff. The skin under the nose becomes a dark brown color and the nostrils are caked with the stuff.

BRRRRRRRRRRR.... yuck
As if you don't stink, and everything around you, after smoking a cigar, right?

I already tried one of those little plastic spoons that came in the DIY Kit from DIY Flavorshack. It didn't work very well for me - it's just too deep and the snuff gets locked in it. To get any snuff at all you have to practically put it up your nose and sniff really hard which unsurprisingly can be a little rough once the snuff finally dislodges and shoots to the back of your throat. You can actually get much better results using the handle end of it!

On another note, all this talk of mixing snuffs and trying different snuffs made me think of something a little funny. Does anybody here ever sniff a different snuff up each nostril at the same time? It would be like stereo smell-o-vision! :p
