Oh, I wanted to add that I'm not sure about the prices at VaporKings for batts/etc. They seem a little high don't they?

So I see you stand just where I do, lol. I can help you with this though. It is said that it is safer to use a bigger (longer) battery rather than stacking.
So, if I'm understanding right, if you wanted to keep it at 3.7V on the Thermo you could use just one 17670.There is a charger that will charge the 17670 & the 16340's: UltraFire WF-188 lithium dual bay battery charger They also carry all of the other coices of batteries too.
Now, from what I have read so far if you wanted to use the 3V batts you would need to get 2 more PROTECTED(will be stacking) batts & a different charger because of the voltage difference.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Yea, I think I am going to go the slightly less complicated way and get the 17670. You know the charger that came with the SP says it's a camera battery charger...I'm going to see if I can find the 17670 at a local store. The packaging should say if it's protected right?
I got mine today. It is a very pretty blue.
So..........are the batteries and charger safe to use until I get protected?
Oh, I didn't get extra caps. I would have ordered them but at the time didn't understand how this tube worked.![]()
sky, i have been using the provided batteries in the sp2 with no problem. i make sure i don't leave them on the charger longer than 2 to 3 hrs and don't drain them down too much. i might switch out sooner than needed but better safe than sorry.
just don't use those batteries in the thermo, once they are stacked it's a whole different ballgame

Just wanted to let you know the Protected AW 17670 is said to work with the thermo tube.

Those have 1600mah capacities at 3.7v. So thats 12-16 hrs of heavy vaping at 3.7v.
