So I see you stand just where I do, lol. I can help you with this though. It is said that it is safer to use a bigger (longer) battery rather than stacking.
So, if I'm understanding right, if you wanted to keep it at 3.7V on the Thermo you could use just one 17670. :) There is a charger that will charge the 17670 & the 16340's: UltraFire WF-188 lithium dual bay battery charger They also carry all of the other coices of batteries too.

Now, from what I have read so far if you wanted to use the 3V batts you would need to get 2 more PROTECTED(will be stacking) batts & a different charger because of the voltage difference.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

You are doing better than I am cricket. :) I know six volt will be too high for me so I guess I would need just the 17670 for the thermal tube. Who would have thought this little thing would be so confusing. I swear you have to be an electrician, a mechanic, a chemist, an engineer and I can't even think what else.............just to vape!

Yea, I think I am going to go the slightly less complicated way and get the 17670. You know the charger that came with the SP says it's a camera battery charger...I'm going to see if I can find the 17670 at a local store. The packaging should say if it's protected right?

I got mine today. It is a very pretty blue.

So..........are the batteries and charger safe to use until I get protected?

Oh, I didn't get extra caps. I would have ordered them but at the time didn't understand how this tube worked.

sky, i have been using the provided batteries in the sp2 with no problem. i make sure i don't leave them on the charger longer than 2 to 3 hrs and don't drain them down too much. i might switch out sooner than needed but better safe than sorry.
just don't use those batteries in the thermo, once they are stacked it's a whole different ballgame

I won't tib. Thanks. :)

What happens if they do drain down to far? Also, if the charger is a camera battery charger, would I be better off using a universal one that I have?

Ok so I got my SP2 kit + thermo. Its a very cool mod. The blue looks good and I'm already used to the bottom button after like 2 pulls.

Now I'm not exactly sure how the atomizer + cartridges work...but I think my atomizer stopped working. Does this happen if it gets too wet or something? How Can I fix this? Nothing happens when I pull it now with the atomizer and i tried a couple different cartridges, but cartomizers work. I dripped a drop in so maybe that messed it up. I was under the impression a small amount of juice could be dripped into an atomizer?

Also, my thermo @ 6v TOTALLY fried a dual coil cartomizer, I was hoping it would be able to work but I guess not :(:( Are they supposed to get really really hot and taste burnt instantly?

My 3.6 was OK with the dual coil, still on the hotter side but fine I suppose. Not sure whats going on there...

Also the tenergy lifepo4 batteries seem a little loose in thermo, if i shake it they jiggle a little, is that ok?

sky, they sold those things for two years without a problem. from what i read overcharging and draining the batt to far down can make some of the cells inside unstable.
i checked the charger and i believe the green light is accurate, so when you see it turn green take the battery off. this type of charger will not stop charging on its own, if yours does i would use it. still, it's really not a good idea to keep batteries on a charger way beyond the necessary charge time.

Maybe someone/anyone confirm whether or not the thermo tube is wide enough to take a 17mm battery before some folks start ordering them.
