and??? ............. holding breath .........

Sorry............I didn't get to try it until this morning and just got home again.

Soooooooo, I am not having a good experience either. I tried it with a carto from MadVapes and it seems like it won't screw on all the way. Very little vapor and it kind of feels like sucking on air. Until I give myself a little headache. Tried the 801 to 510 adapter and the adapter won't screw on much at all. Same result. I have tried it all the different ways everyone has suggested. (except for filing anything) I did contact James and he was very prompt with his responses. I went through everything he told me to try but it hasn't changed anything. I think it is the threading but I am no expert. The center post is loose so that isn't sticking. James did say he would send a different end cap so I guess I will wait and see. I hope that's it. I'm kind of feeling like this is the straw that broke the camels back. I should probably just accept the fact I am cursed and vaping is not going to get me to quit smoking.

I do want to reiterate that James has been very nice, helpful and prompt. I don't think anyone has to be afraid of doing business with him.

No one has heard from her Tib...we fear the worst but are hoping for the best. :p

So the 801 carts don't screw down either? I thought it was just the 510!

I was trying to avoid spending more money, but seems like Im going to have to buy smaller batteries so I can get mine screwed on too.

I guess I will wait for Ikenvapes to get the AW ICR-123 li-ion 3.7V 750mAh Protected Battery in stock. I may as well order the 801 fusion carto and give that a try while Im throwing out monies.

Well you guys aren't alone. I'm having one problem after another with my sparkplug too. It was working great with the 801 atty and original batteries, then I misplaced (cats stole) the charger and I had to wait for the batteries I ordered to show up.

They came, charged them up, put one in (ultrafire 3.6v 800mAh) and it was indeed a bit too big, couldn't screw the bottom all the way on, couldn't get a good hit off it that way. The button doesn't seem to fire consistently.

Got a new (purple) DSE801 atty and stuck it on there, it screwed all the way in, whereas the atty that came with it wouldn't screw all the way in (James said it was supposed to be this way due to the different depths of adapters when I emailed him) but again, with the huge battery, can't get a consistent hit off it.

Can't try the thermo tube 'cuz the 3v batteries I bought can't be charged in the charger I bought, and the 2nd one I ordered for the 3v is backordered. FRUSTRATING.

If I could just find where the beasts hid my charger, I'd go back to happiness using the original unprotected batteries .. it gave an excellent hit, massive vapor and so what if the atty didn't screw all the way down.

I couldn't get it to work with a 510 adapter, but it did work with an 808D-1 adapter.

Does anyone know where I can get a charger that will charge TENERGY-RCR123-900 : Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery ???

I'm using black AW ICR123 750mAH batteries that came with my GLV-Mini and the charger that came with them, the adapter came with my SparkPlug, CE2 Cartomizer with LED from Ken's Boxmods. I have a decent gap between the bottom cap and body but I don't mind. I found I prefer the feel of it if I put the carto and adapter on before I put the battery in. Using 801-510 adapter with the 510 CE2 cartomizer. Haven't had an issue yet, I do notice I have to push the button in the middle to get a consistent hit, just barely hitting the side of the button won't work.

The trick for me seems to be making sure the copper disc with center post sticking up is secure. When using an adapter I make sure I screw the adapter on to the top cap first, loosely, and make sure the disc isn't protruding out the other end too far. Generally if the disc is further out than the back rim of the cap its too far and you'll never close both caps securely with an ultrafire battery. The inconsistency is most likely because that piece isn't properly connected/seated and is a bit loose or too tight.

I'm using the ultrafire batteries as, and while they are slightly too big I can actually get both caps to screw in securely if I do it just right. The adapter might not screw as far down, but the caps sure do fit securely on. Its a nice tight fight, and is working great for me. Not a huge deal since I'm only changing batteries like once a day.

I had some inconsistent firing until I realized some part of the assembly needed changing. A bit of experimenting is all it took. Don't screw an adapter too far on the top atomizer cap until the battery and bottom cap is in securely. If the metal post is sticking up too far through the adapter or atomizer cap, a cartomizer/atty won't screw on because there simply won't be anywhere for it to go.

Since then, I've had 0 problems with my SP2 + 510 adapater and dual coil cartomizers @ 3.6-7v. I love this thing. Going to try the thermo @ 4.8v on Monday when my battery comes. Will probably be using either one of these mobs for quite a while, can't see myself getting tired of them, unless the 'slim' or SP3 is really that much better, and goes on a crazy sale one day like this one did :p

I didn't mean it like that sensay. It was a good logical thought. I was actually wondering if the others were from James or maybe all from MadVapes.
lol I know that! :) just thought I had it figured out ;)

I bought mine from good prophets and it's fine.
mine is from good prophets as well!
