Thank you for the warm welcome here! I have a confession to make. After vaping for almost 2 and a half years, I had a rotten night at work St. Patrick's Day, and bummed a smoke off of a coworker. Man! It was awful! I wanted to toss my cookies after the third drag! I ate lemon peels to get rid of the taste! I wanted to do something stupid to switch my mind off of my horrible night (I'm a waitress). I could have had a drink (quit that for 6 years) but I had to drive home. I was ready to quit my job. The cigarette worked. I was more focused on washing that taste out of my mouth, than I was worried about my crappy night. My hubby asked me about my night, and I told him "I smoked. Nuff said." I confirmed it. I no longer smoke. The smell makes my stomach turn after that experience!
I started vaping with, originally, no intention of quitting the coffin nails. It was to make a mockery of my old job's smoking policy. Went through the whole shift with vape breaks in the bathroom, and decided on the way home that I could just keep going with that.
No real battles until I started my new job. EVERYBODY there smokes! Of course, I get stranded on the floor watching sections while they are outside smoking. Can't complain to the owner. He smokes too. Some of them think my vaping is really cool, some think it is just silly. Pffffffft! Whatevah! After my St. Patty's slip up, to Hell with what they think.
I started on Blu, we know how that goes. Went to Volcano Inferno, bridgeless atomizers, and on to mechanicals with carto tanks. I got an ITaste VTR that I use out of the house, and a Kato Hammer clone with an Aqua Clone tank, and some RDA's that I use in the house. I am ready to replace my IClear 30s with a RDA. I started building coils not too long ago, not going sub-ohm anytime soon, but happy with single coils and cotton. I have been ordering VG juice from Velvet Vapors. 12 mg nic, but am making the jump to DIY VG zero nic. Wizard Labs flavors. I cut my 12 mg juice in half to 6mg, been vaping that since my St. Patty's meltdown, and start my homebrew tomorrow. The problem I have with stepping down on nicotine are VERY VIVID nightmares! I got those when I started vaping at 24 mg nic, then when I went down to 12 mg. They do go away, once my brain gets used to it.
Vaping, in a nutshell, is not as easy as I thought. It is trial and error, changing technology, finding the right flavors, right strengths, dealing with odd withdrawal symptoms when quitting the stinkies, then when stepping down on nicotine, but I feel better this way, than any other way!
