Yup, a bad case of shinyitus going on here too right now. Took a look at the coop sectionn (drum roll plz) and there it was, something I didn't even know existed before, an IPV35. Like what do I need 35 watts for? Oh yea, all the new dual coil crap coming out is an ego killer ... need to replace those. I could get itaste vv3, but I'd need two to last a day and by that time I might as well get the IPV35 plus it has a replaceable battery (major plus). It's also 22mm dia so it should work fine with PT aerotanks (which look awesome, very kayfunish). Did I mention I really shouldn't buy anything after splurging on a couple of PT mega's and mini PT3's that just came in + some more exotic juice orders that I just HAD to try (again). P.S. I discovered I liked peach. I mean who knew? Here I had been thinking banana and coconut were the bombs. And butter rum.

I was kinda looking at the transformer; something I didn't have to baby + handy for hiking. I may still hold out for that, but that IPV35 sure sounds sweet (already have a wrap in mind). THEN there was a gorgeous neo-chrome 18350 nemisis I saw a photo of ... who cares if it actually works. I just wanna look at it. How stupid is that?

I hate decisions. If I obeyed my vape budget I'd have half of what I have and probably would've lasted this long. My internet is too frustrating for contests.

So otherwise, hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hi all. Been busy and crazy with remodel and migraines from sander noise all day long for past week. Long story. Contractor had to resand kitchen floor back down to bare wood because of sander gouges and burns. Lots of yelling from me. Big migraines.

Top, so glad the baby is getting better. Karen, you should stop falling down and breaking yourself; super big ouchy. I hope you heal quickly.

Yeah FQ! Great job on the ciggie front. Keep it up. I talk to myself all the time. I am the only one that will listen to me go on and on.

Thaya, your one year anniversary is pretty close here too, right? I hope I do not miss it. Congratulations if I do. It is a major milestone to accomplish and you should whoop it up good! I miss you a lot. Is that rayon sucking up the juice a lot more than regular cotton? I am afraid to use it if it is. I can not afford to blow through more juice than I am now.

New pretty, shiny things have been on my mind too. My one year anniversary is coming up on July 12 so I am thinking of getting a real Kayfun Lite Plus. I am very happy with my two Provari Minis and do not feel the need to add a third. I am still anti mech for myself since I have so much trouble getting my wicks right and finding my sweet spot for flavor. I also tend to run my batteries down to blinking so I am not mech material.

I am anxious to get this stupid kitchen done so I can cook and sleep. DH was to the ER for a bad case of bronchitis from all the dust, etc. I can not believe I have not been sick, outside of the daily big migraines and unwell from not eating real food.

I want to start making my own juice but have no place to do it until all the construction work is done. I think one more month of it. It better be just a month - I will need a straightjacket if it goes much longer. The noise is so bad that I can not think and it is shaking me to my very bones. Worse than what I think Chinese torture is. Can not talk DH into going to a hotel so I am stuck here.

I have not had any thoughts of cigarettes over the course of this process. My Provari is always in my hand though. And I am going through juice at an alarming rate, I had to lower nic to 6mg. Have not used the Rayon yet because I can not afford to buy the juice to keep it going during this process. When I can make my own juice things will be better. Could not imagine being without my Provari for even a trip to the corner store. So one addiction traded for another. I think I feel better but can not tell because of the stress and dust and noise.

I am happier not smoking. I think that is an important point to not miss. Vaping is so much more fun, frustrating fun at times, than smoking ever was. Who does not like a new shiny or the anticipation of getting a new flavor in vapemail. Just that is healthier for a person. So a positive life change, even if it is not cheaper in the long run. I am looking forward to my one year anniversary of vaping.

I miss you all very much. I will be back more often once I have this construction done and I can get rid of these horrible migraines. So I will pop in as I can. Do not forget me.

I've been using rayon wicking for a few weeks now and it's amazing! It wicks fast and it doesn't hold flavors so it's easy to switch them. You can drain your tanks nearly dry without getting a dry hit, and you can tell when a dry hit is coming so you don't get it. Everyone should give it a try.
I have read about the rayon wicking, but it seems it only comes in like 300ft from Sally's beauty, lol

Just popping in for a bit - a literal ton has happened in the last two months, and all I've been motivated to do on ECF for the most part is read. On the thyroid front, I have switched to a different naturopath, one who specializes in autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's disease), and we are making big progress. I kept needing to increase my meds - would feel good for a couple weeks then all symptoms returning. But due to labs, my original doc was lowering my meds.

So the new doc did a bunch of new testing, turns out other issues are interfering with my body's ability to properly use the hormones. I've got auto-antibodies to my small intestines, due to wheat sensitivity. I also have a very strong addiction to wheat - it triggers an opiate type response in my brain, so while I feel like I can't stop eating it, it's destroying my gut. Explains why I can eat an entire can of biscuits in one sitting...

So while I'm not quite celiac, there are enough issues with my immune response to wheat that I can't have it. Period. And, I also react to tapioca, which means that a lot of the gluten free flour that's out there is also not an option. So LOTS of reading labels. Thankfully I didn't have to give up cheese, coffee, eggs, or chocolate - I probably would have gone crazy if any of those showed up on the test as a problem.

I am also pre-diabetic (even on a 70% fat diet) so on a natural form of metformin to control blood sugar. If it doesn't resolve with other stuff I'm doing, we'll need to look at autoimmune causes (early type 1.5 diabetes) since if you have one autoimmune disease, you'll often have another or several.

I have a genetic defect that is very common, and so my body doesn't process B vitamins or Folic Acid properly, nor does it detox very well. So I have to take the active form of the vitamins in super-high doses to help flush out the crap that's floating around in my system, and to get the process working properly.

With all that, I am starting to do MUCH better - am losing some weight (and unfortunately some hair still) , eating extremely well, and have a bit more energy. Enough that I pursued a job opportunity that will offer me much more satisfaction (both $$ and personal), and was offered the position, and accepted it (after a bit of salary negotiation). Longer hours, more responsibility, but exactly what I have been wanting since the construction industry crashed, and it's in my field of choice (lighting).

And I have not smoked or even thought about it. Still vaping happily on my VV V3's, Aro's and Evod heads, and my Zen2 Carto with a 510 conversion cap and the Kayfun that JJ sent me.

I would also like to congratulate you, Thaya, in advance - since my new job may not afford me a whole lot of forum time. 1 year! You are going to do it, girl!

Shari, your kitchen sounds wonderful - I hope that you enjoy the finished product as much as you hope, and that the memories of construction (and your migraines) fade quickly.

FQ - you're doing awesome, I think if I wanted to I would smoke too. Sometimes life gets in the way of our plans for it - I know you'll come out the other side just fine!

Top, hoping the best for child's recovery--that's too much stress for all of you to have to go through. Hopefully this is it for the big stuff.

Everyone else, I want to keep encouraging you all on the path that you set for yourselves - vaping or smoking, or both.

Nothing much going on here either, trying to get back into the swing with my artwork as usual, but making a little progress there.
Just getting through the days and the storms, it's been a typical Tennessee June, rain, thunder, lightning, rinse repeat. He's running the drag car when he can which isn't often since it likes to rain on the weekends, and now it's too hot for me to feel like going with him.

Still vaping and got a second Reo cause they are like Lays, you can't have just one, mech mods sitting idle most of the time as I only seem to be using the Reos and the Provari.

Happy to hear that things are going better for some and hopefully things will get better soon for others.

Congratulations Thaya and FQ. :)

Aikanae I'm not sure what you mean by old fashioned dripper, carto maybe? I use the RM2 bottom fed dripper on both of my Reos and love them. I just don't want to have to depend on having to be able to buy replacements with the FDA regs looming so I use an atty that I can rebuild.

Thaya, Thaya, Thaya!!! What a great accomplishment!! A whole year. Who would have thunk it. It seems like such a short time ago. I hope you have a big celebration planned for yourself, you deserve it. You and I threw down the gauntlet at almost the same time and I think we spurred each other on to one more day of no cigarettes. Yeah!!! You made it!!!

Thanks, Jazz and Shari!

Shari, your 1 year vapiversary is coming up in 10 days if I recall. It's so hard to believe that we've actually accomplished this after so many years of being chained to smoking. It's amazing what one can do when they have a great support system. My S/O calls this thread my "Smokers' Anonymous" group. :vapor:

Now for my own crazy dancing bananas.

Looks like im doing a long distance tech support job. Lol.

Last week my grandmother in florida called saying her computer had a wierd popup saying error detected and to save important documents and call device manufacturer. I thought it was odd to have a popup say to call device manufacturer rather than a 800 number to pay for support (grandmother still would of called me to fix it even if it did).
Was able to look at computer 2 days ago through remote control. Her hard drive is failing. Went through all the tests and it was a simple issue of running out of backup ares (hard drives have extra space on it incase it finds a bad section so it wont crash right away, giving you a working computer just a bit slower). Set up a integrity check which fails on every file. Called again today and told her to just unhook the hard drive and mail it to me. I will be doing data recovery and imaging a new (bigger since to buy the exact same size drive is 3x more expensive than buying a drive 50% larger) drive to plug in and have a working computer.

Grandma just sent me ~8 new flavors to try on ecig from store near her house. (Is where I bought my hypertank and gingerbread flavor on vacation last November).

Im being kept busy by child. He REALLY doesn't like his low fat diet. Keeps eating my leftovers from fridge (grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and mayo, chicken alfredo, ect) and im not sure how he can stand to eat it cold lol. And its over his fat limit.

In other child news I can't remember if I told yall about last dr visit. Fluid around lungs has cleared up. Still on a high dose of diuretics (high adult dose even, but his body is tolerating it better than most adults would)and next checkup is next Wednesday.

My dear friends in this thread are the only reason that I am quickly approaching my one year anniversary of not smoking. The advice, hand holding, atta girls, kicks in the pants and generous gifts when I was in emergency mode were the only things that carried me through giving up 46 years of smoking two packs a day.

There is a lot of wisdom and love shared in this thread on a daily basis. For newcomers and people balancing smoking and vaping, this is the number one resource on ECF for support and comraderie.

I can never repay what I have been given here, but I do and will try. Love you all. And thank you for saving my life.
