Honestly that sounds like nicotine od to me. When you vape do you chain vape? What is your vape method, meaning do you slowly draw the vapor into your mouth, hold, then inhale or do you vape like a cigarette? When I tried the mints to quit I had sores all over my mouth and throat and had to eat Tums like candy. From reading on the internet about stuff that had nothing to do with smoking I found my body was too acidic from the nicotine. I was able to change my chemistry back by eating more alkaline foods, cutting back on the acidic things (coffee, Gatorade, tomatoes, sodas, orange juice, etc) and things got much better. I was also swelling up like a balloon even though I was eating healthier and exercising like a mad man. Probably the biggest ph changer in 1 food was asparagus. I ate something green with every meal or snack and/or a non acidic fruit.
I had the heartburn and indigestion with the patch but I gave up on the patch before finding out it was the culprit. I'd just figured it to be stress from wanting to smoke so bad back then.
If I chain vape while reading or watching tv I get the indigestion now and my tongue feels like it used to when I used the mints. I've cut back my nicotine and can chain vape a lot more without the side effects.
Hope that helps

It would happen even if I didn't touch my ecig but every 3 hours. My nic level has been cut down so much that I'm going bonkers. But i haven't touched the ecig in 14 hours. So far I've been able to eat without feeling like I'm being burned alive. My headache has almost gone completely away and my nausea is just about gone (i think it's still a tad there because I haven't been able to eat in 3 days and just ate something super greasy lol)
Even my throat is feeling better. My muscles are starting to finally relax; they were like work out sore to the point I couldn't even turn my head, and oddly my sinuses have even stopped hurting. I know the answer isn't going back to smoking but until I clear up and try another vendor for juices I'll be going back to them and see if it helps.

I tried the adapter and it didn't help, I pulled the pin up a bit, it didn't help, I tried I lClear 16, Aspire ETs, 510 bridgeless atty, Vision clearo, Trident clone, and no go on any of them with or without the adapter.

Claudia,

I agree with Lox. The innokins are notorious for having a low center pin, and you might have just bumped it down a bit.

I always use an ego->510 adapter on my V3.0 and my MVP's because they make better contact.
These:

I have many many heads that will show NON without the adapter (including just about every CE4). I can send you a few adapters if you'd like (I buy 'em by the pound from fasttech).

I love smoking. Been smoking since I was 18, so going on 23 years now. I've "quit" so many times that I've come to terms it's not going to happen.

Funny thing about quitting... if I love smoking so much, why would I want to quit? I mean really want to quit? In the back of my mind, won't I be sabotaging my own efforts?

Another thing. The body builds up a tolerance to nicotine, like it does for alcohol, so the more I partake, the more I need for the same "relative" high.

About 8 years ago, or so, I was smoking a pack & a half a day. It satisfied my craving, but I didn't get that high I wanted. I decided it was because of the tolerance I had built up to the nicotine. As an experiment, I stopped smoking after 9 pm. I did whatever it took to resist the urge until 6 am the next morning. Which usually meant going to bed early. On weeknights, it worked out well & helped me improve my sleeping habits.

But let me tell you... that first cigarette...... wow. Wonderful, wonderful high. So I toyed around with the idea for years, until I got to the point where I would regularly smoke 7 cigarettes a day. I had managed to "quit completely" a couple of times in that period & the 1st cigarette after I "gave up" only reassured me how much I loved smoking.

It's not just an addiction, I don't care what the experts say. I've gone past the point to where there is no craving, & now with eCigs & patches, I've got alternate sources for my nicotine.... actually I always had alternate sources; snuff & other forms of tobacco.

I love smoking.

But I know it's not healthy for me & it's not very smart to do things that aren't healthy for me. Well... I'll still hit 160 on the freeway, if no one's around & I've got excellent visability. But smoking these things at the rate I was... that's a little much. Even the 7 a day.

So, I'm feeling good about not smoking a cigarette for the last 13 days, but in the back of my mind I'm just building up the anticipation for that 1st cigarette. Might be next week, might be next Christmas, I don't know. But what I do know now...

Vaping is pretty cool in it's own right. The nicotine content is good, the throat hit is good, inhaling & exhaling, & the experience is good..... but I think I'm missing that smell. So we'll see.

So all of you, who still partake in the joys of inhaling the burning embers of the tobacco leaf..... have at it, enjoy. Just slow it down a little bit.

Sorry, posted that before I saw all the others suggesting the same thing.

I do know that Innokin upgraded the V3 design to include more "studs" around the top and bottom for better mechanical reliability.

Somebody mentioned nickel in the coils? How would that affect somebody? I'm actually allergic to most metals and didn't even think about that

*my cat has transmited this signal it will now go live* meow meow meooow

I've read it's possible it could leach into the juice from the coils or mesh and effect people with serious allergies to it. I've also heard of a few people having issues with metal drip tips that were nickel plated. Back in the early days some people had allergy issues with the fluval and polyfill in the atomizer cartridges. You've seemed to by process of elimination ruled out pg vg flavors or nic. That's the only other thing I can think of is an allergy to one of the components of your delivery system.

Good Morning everyone!

I hate to go back on the conversation but I was reading back a few pages ago and have a question. What's PGA? I've never heard of it. Is it like pg?

if you have a question, feel free to quote what you need and ask away. one of is will be able to clarify when you need, or answer your question. Lox already beat me but PGA is Pure Grain Alcohol (like a vodka, or Everclear)

Good morning everyone! Was absent yesterday but I did read all the posts. I'm sorry to hear about all the troubles everyone is having with quitting and vaping together. Hope you all get it cleared up real soon.

Still going strong, no longer feeling a desire to smoke but more like a little niggle in the back of my mind. I've passed the screaming rage portion of my latest stress, and did it without smoking, so yay me!

DD1 went to her counseling session yesterday and we spent just about the whole day together. Our relationship impressed the counselor, she said we made her job easier. I feel horrible that I'm not "enough" for my child, but happy that together we can help her get where she needs to be. I got wonderful news there, based on my income and the size of my household I qualify for a 90% reduction on the bill, so she can go as often as she needs to and it won't bankrupt me.

Got a lot of housecleaning to do today so need to get motivated. Caffeine is loading, I slept from 7:30 last night until 9:00 this morning, so can't claim tiredness. Just lazy!!

Have a great day all.

PGA is Pure Grain Alcohol. (I believe a brand name being sold is Everclear.) Some vendors add it to their juices to enhance the flavours they use. It can cause real problems for some vapers.

Personally, I would try to steer clear of this if you can. My vape of choice at the moment is the WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) juice from WholeCig. It's 100% VG, with no PGA in it at all.

Edit: OOPS  I got beaten to the punch

Monica,

If you hover your mouse over an underlined term (like PGA ) it will pop-up a definition. Very useful in this TLA-cluttered forum!!!

I had actually tried all of those things except the adapter before I posted about it. I'm trying one last thing, which I don't expect to have any effect. I'm charging it after turning it off and we'll see if that does anything, I'm sure this has happened because I was about to spend money on a mech mod and this is Murphy's way of saying "oh no you don't". LOL

Don't you dare feel guilty! You're trying to be both mom and dad to your two beautiful girls, and that's a VERY difficult task to accomplish. Plus you're working full-time to try and make ends meet for all of you. It takes great strength to do what you do every day. Keep strong, lady :thumb:

TLA - Three Letter Acronym

I so agree with all the acronym's! I still don't know what YMMV is and there's another one but I can't think of it at the moment.... I don't know if it's my computer but the PGA doesn't have a handy dandy line under it.

The first vendor I ever ordered juice from --HORRIBLE -- mind you I ended up figuring out used a boatload of alcohol in their juices...they all have this awful taste. I still have them almost a year later. Some have settled into almost vapeable but some I just can't!

It's funny because I commented on some girl's youtube channel about maybe their was alcohol in the juice (because of what she was tasting) and she - "a very valid reviewer" replied back to me saying "alcohol in e-juice? I don't know what your talking about there's no alcohol in e-juice." Ya like a very smart super_x_drifter told me there are alot of people out there making videos that have no business making them! Even though he was talking about coil making I think it applies to lots of things!

Wow. This sounds like a medical encylopedia of quitting. I forgot to mention that I ended up in the ER with what I thought might be a heart attack after I first started vaping too. Since then I've had several boughts of broncitis and now something going on with my joints and muscles to where it's hard to walk (my legs have always been strong). I'm not dealing well with this at all. But the fact so many others are experiencing similar medical issues just tells me; it's not just the nicotine I'm addicted to and there's more to quitting than what many realize. My allergies have also esculated. If anything I think smoking masked some of these problems.

I went to RYO for my smoking needs because the tobacco is cleaner, more natural. Maybe quitting all the chemicals in OTC cigs were causing some of my problems/addiction. I live in a state where it's illegal to buy tobacco without chemicals added so I have to order it online to get the natural stuff. I don't feel as addicted and that does make the tranisition to vaping easier. Snus is good too and I think I'll have it on hand for the rough spots. But just replacing nicotine doesn't always do it for me.

Then there's a psychological battle of feeling insecure without a pack within my grasp too; instant relief that's going on too.

Vaping / quitting smoking is a committment. I'm sure I'll work all this out and I'm glad your all here. Some of my safe juices are Velvet Cloud Vapors since they use no PGA or PG. Another one I'm exploring is Nude Nicotine and they are very transparent with what is in thier's. Whole Cig is definatley on my short list too. I can't vape eliquids without vendors being transparent with what they use and very, very few of them are.
