Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. It is so important for all of us to hear those stories and especially for the new people. In some areas of ECF newcomers may hear just the loudest posters. It is important to get the word out that not everyone just takes one or two vapes and never smokes again. It is also important to hear the stories of people who have been able to do just that.

It is not just putting down the cigarettes or pipe or cigar. It is a change in your habits and the way you think. Those types of changes take time.

My pleasure, dear :)

Same here :)
I used to love small, sweet-flavored cigars. They taste nice. So the first liquids I ordered with my eGo T starter kit back in 2011 was one tobacco and one caramel. Mixed them in the tank - yummy :) Later I refined this into Cuban Supreme (cigar flavor) mixed with caramel / torrone / butterscotch / vanilla custard liquids. I can mix precisely my beloved small cigar flavor. It makes me feel sated, satisfied, happy :) (And this mixture has had the same effect on several new vapers to whom I recommended this in my home forum)

- And it even fully satisfied a weird (?) small cigar nostalgia that I got in Nov 2013 - 2 years after I transitioned to vaping - while drinking a glass of red wine and reading an article on Cuba. Which country manufactures - you guessed it - cigars :D

In addition, when I started up my 1st e-cig, I had just had one case of carbon monoxide poisoning - from chain-smoking too much - too many. The kind that feels like a hangover, even the next morning. You can imagine my elation when I was able to chain-vape in the same situation without getting that nasty feeling of too much carbon monoxide in my blood

And then, when I started vaping, I joined the German vapers forum right away (in my home country), and I got the perfect beginners advice:

When you need the nicotine kick right now - like with your morning coffee - do like this:
puff on e-cig a few times - inhale the next drag deeply and directly into your lungs, all the way down (depending on the equipment, nowadays, I am talking eGO T :) ) - hold it for a while - exhale deeply and with pleasure - repeat 2 - 3 times = bingo! Nicotine kick right now :) - I still do that at times. :)

Yes, I was lucky.

And I see no reason to look down upon people who did not have the same kind of luck / time is right combination.

JUST AN FYI:

We like to say around here that each one of us has our own journey. There are many paths you can take to get to your goal and you decide how long you want to take to get there. We are here to provide assistance, guidance, atta boys, and just plain old conversation and walk with you on that journey. (And sometimes a kick in the pants, if necessary.)

Welcome to the thread and stay and chat a while. I spent my first couple of weeks here while chain smoking and getting help and advice on what my first setup should be.

You get dancing bananas for milestones! We provide that exclusive perk free of charge!

I have been busy. I made 2 new coils tonight for my 2 R91s. Both came out good. One is 1.8 and the other is 1.9. I finally wicked both of them and so far they are working good. Yeah me! Finally.

I am test dripping the Caramel Pear Black Tea I made DIY in the call on 5/19. I made it 12mg, 70/30, 5% TFA black tea, 4% TFA pear, and 3% caramel. So far it tastes ok, a little harsh. I am tasting more pear and very little caramel. The black tea is not showing up unless that is what the harshness is. Tastes nothing like Ahlusion. Did not expect it to.

I think I may add some more caramel tomorrow and see what happens. How long do you have to wait to taste when you add more flavor to a mix?

Contractor is coming over on Friday to start the electrical in the kitchen. Tearing out some of the brand new ceiling sheetrock to move and add pot lights since we decided to move the island location. He is supposed to be here Monday with the plumber to cap off the kitchen sink and rip out the island. Then will tear out the 600sf of hardwood in the kitchen/dining room over the following couple of days.

It is about to begin. I may be cranky for a while. I will try to be good.

Just verbally. I will be on the hunt. Nasty posters, beware. Good thing I stay away from the polictical and religious themed threads, and the Lounge. Still plenty of real estate to forage if need be.

If I am extremely lucky, we have hired a superhero contractor. I know that that is an unrealistic expectation so I am trying my utmost to curb my expectations. There still is an unmistakable line that I will not allow to be crossed. There is the danger.

I started going over, line by line, the latest estimate of what the ins comp is reimbursing us for. After all their verbal assurances that they do NOT take away dollars already allocated for line items, in the first two pages of a 12 page line item estimate they have already taken away hundreds of dollars, piecemeal, from the cost estimate. This in order to pay for the upgrade to the hardwood floor that they so graciously acknowledged we have. I made that new adjuster get down on her hands and knees to inspect the hardwood when I pulled out 2 heating vent covers in the kitchen. Still they try to screw us.

I have printed out 2 copies of the current estimate and the last one. This weekend's project will be going over it line by line and then the telephone call on Monday to that adjuster to give us those hundreds of dollars back, by check, NOW. Of course, there will be a follow up email with all 24 pages, with notations, to back up my position. I am not happy. Bunch of scamming liars. And the work has not been started yet and I am still arguing with fools. But they are fools that hold the purse strings and must be dealt with. I am documenting all for the Small Claims case that I will have to threaten them with down the road. I will not take it that far, but they do not have to know that.

I was contemplating not bothering to do all this work and let that money pass but, after I thought about the lies and the run around, bs, I want every dime. No creative accounting and trying to fudge numbers with me. You said you would not take from what was allocated to pay for the upgrade to hardwood that should have been in the initial estimate. Your error. Correct it. Taking money from the original estimate to add to the upgraded hardwood is not acceptable, or honest. I am not stupid, and I have more time to make sure the numbers are correct. So, I have a purpose and a reason to exist for a while longer. Viva la hardwood!!!

You sound so much like me lol. When I had received a bill for childs surgery that wasn't paid by insurance I sent them a copy of the policy and the bill showing that they had to cover it. Was paid 24 hours later. Then got collection agency calling the next day because they were not informed it was paid. The collection agency threatened to"talk to (my childs name here)'s lawyer" rather than me because couldn't talk to me about it. You really want to talk to a 3 year old to get money. Ok, here you go. Do your best to make him pay by himself. Hahahah.

I hope you're feeling much better, Karen.

I've been meaning to ask you how you like your eRoll? Is it what you thought it would be, and is it helping your smoking urge? I haven't used mine in quite a long time, so I pulled it out today. It felt a little strange and yet so familiar, almost like smoking a cigarette again.

Update on my Russian 91% Version 2. I got the Version 1 center pin from VaporDNA and had the spring loaded pin in the V2 replaced. It has worked good but not as good as the original Version 1 Russian 91% that I picked up to keep it company. The original Version 1 has been flawless.

Yesterday I was rebuilding the coil on the V2 with the VaporDNA V1 center pin and took a good look at the deck. It did not look right. Sure enough, the positive post block had rotated so it was perpendicular to the negative post. Now about a week ago I did have to adjust the center pin on it because it would not fire on my Provari (got OP error) so I extended the center pin a couple of turns.

I ended up having to totally rebuild the R91 v2. Again. Had to take the center pin out and the positive block totally off the device. Took me half the night. It looks good now. The positive post is not as tight as I would like but after struggling to get the thing back together I could not get it tighter.

I have identical coils and cotton (as close as possible) on both my R91s. The original v1 is working flawlessly. That stinking r91v2 with v1 center pin will not vape properly. No way is it my coil building or amount of cotton now. Even with the v1 center pin it is not performing as it should.

Moral. Do not buy a v2 Russian 91% even if the center pin has been replaced with a v1 pin. Unless you want to keep rebuilding it down to removing the pin and block. I am done with the Russians by Kebo. Will not buy another one. Too much money to take the chance they change the thing again. The fix has not held for me.

I haven't fiddled with my Russian yet. My aqua is working perfectly. Leaks a tad when I fill it but I think im over filling it.

Got 120ml of vanilla custard I like. Also got a test of the vendors new flavor. Haven't tried it yet. Love the vanilla custard. Don't think it will last me 3 weeks. Just afraid ill burn out on the flavor.
