Could be the meds, they can cause weird side effects. Call to dr or his nurse may be in order if for no other reason than to ease your mind.

Is the tingling anywhere else? Limited to one side? When my bad neck acts up I will get tingling up to my head and all the way up through the left side of my face. And a feeling of numbness.

OK, gotta ask...

Has anyone else had a head cold where their scalp tingles?

Did I mention I just changed anti-depressant meds?

Yep. Is what im getting over. Now just dealing with dried out sore nostrils. Sore from blowing them so much, and not sure how to keep nose moist.

Those sore chapped nostrils prompted me years ago to switch to the lotion-infused tissues, Pufs or generic of those -- the ones at Kroger are even softer than real Pufs. Everyone in my family thinks I'm crazy to use "greasy" tissues, but I'm the only one in the family that never gets sore chapped nostrils, no matter how much bother my nose is being -- and with my allergies, that's a LOT of bother. :D

Ya just gotta remember to never use them to clean eyeglasses. :D

Sounds like a plan.

I am dumb enough to always read the insert on new meds. There are usually more side effects than good things. Go figure. I hope you figure it out. Also, your body may need to go through an adjustment phase. Did they wean you off the old med or just switch you midstream.

Nope, not anywhere else, just my scalp. Its like the tingle of migraine meds minus the searing pain of a migraine.

To confirm, taking the day home sick (feel like i got hit but a bus) and skipping the new med today to isolate it.

Since everyone in my house is sick about 3x a year (sometime in the summer, around thanksgiving and Christmas) we don't have tissues. I was using the ultra soft toilet paper we have. Its not sore on the outside where I would of touched when blowing my nose. Its sore/dry l
Halfway inside my nose and feels almost like a hair is being pulled but tricks to fix pulling nose hairs don't help (hot showrr to hyrdate the snot that is pulling the hair so you can remove it).

Got evic I bought for family member. He has a dial a volt ego battery. Really wanted my own evic but I use mine too much to sell it to him. Found someone in classys selling cheaper than he found cheapest website so he is happy, just need a replaceable topper and replacement heads for him.

Girlfriend has to work over. Not sure if she is taking tomorrow off since its her birthday or not. Her work lets you take a birthday day off, and if your birthday is on a scheduled work day sometimes you get 2 days depending on supervisor.

Once we get a sketch of tattoo we are getting (getting matching/similar ones for child since he is past all of his surgeries) ill share it with yall

The bright side is at least no pain.

I've had my scalp sore with a sinus infection before. My hair literally hurt. The first sign I've got one about to explode is I can't move because I'm soooooo tired and sleep doesn't help. You might also want to look up or ask the pharmacy how long the med stays in your system (pills.com?). Hope your feeling better.

This may seem weird, but I use Blistex for that -- it cools the burn, and heals the sore tissue as well as it heals the lips.

I was going to mention getting something like neosporum for your nose as a justi in case thing - preventing susceptable child from picking up cooties. But actualy, you might want to check out irrigators for your nose, called "netti pots". The cheap easy way is to stick your head over a pot of boiling water while under a towel. See if that helps. That'll also add humidity. Maybe add a drop of ecyluptus oil. Around here Mexican groceries sell the oil cheap. Or throw a cough drop into the water (I throw cough drops into a tub when I can't get the oil).

So you all are getting tats? Mega cool. Yea, I want pics!

Oh, and I forgot. The hardwood is lifting about 2 to 3 feet out from the island so DH says we probably have to jack up the house under the island. Don't know how big a deal that will be.

Nope. I'm not going to "like" those posts. Sigh. I'm keeping my fingers crossed here. My first thoughts weren't positive and I'm not sure you want to get into thinking about that stuff now. It sounds like something to figure out when the time comes and not something to deal with now.

Take a vape break. Plan a trip (SW had a discount fare special).

Are you familiar with FA flavors? I'm not. What do you think of them?

Oh BTW we've been having some incrediable monsoons this year (yea) and the skies have been gorgeous. Rain almost every night. The bad news is they muck up any kind of underground cable system, like the internet. I was going to post a pic but noooo... You'd think we'd have decent communication systems in the US. Grrrrr (I found out some of my cell woes are due to being so close to the border).

I hate even mentioning my kitchen here anymore since I do not seem to ever have any good news. But we keep plodding along. We have to. Granite owner to view damage at 9am and appliances to be delivered at 11am. Granite owner is not happy that DH insisted he come in person to see damage.

As soon as all this remodeling is done (hopefully a month from now) I will be booking us a trip to Seattle so we can meet our first grandchild who was born way back in January. At least DH will not be afraid to hold him now.

I have been reading good things about Flavourarts flavorings. I believe you only use 1 to 5% with them. I just read that their caramel is supposed to be wonderful. I will try them out.

I saw on the Weather Channel the pics of that dust storm (why did they not call it a haboob this time). Did it get you?

I think 90% of it is the cold, since cold medicine makes it go away some (until its time for another dose) so that makes me feel better.

I went from Ativan to prozac and actually requested the change midstream not knowing that I was sick at the time. The med itself does give a bit of a disconnected feeling but I think after the cold dies down it will be OK.

I feel your pain
Currently working on an awning on my back porch. Extends along the sides of the house. Also some other remodeling and painting work on the sides and back of house.
Doing most of the work myself. I am pretty handy but no carpenter though.

I've been doing stuff with my hands since I was 18 years old. EVERY single project I have worked on had some kind of problem. This is normal and expected.

But for some reason, this project, there hasn't been even the littlest step that didn't come with some huge problem. This whole thing has been overwhelmingly difficult. Was supposed to be done months ago.

I don't mean to complain. It is just uncanny. Never seen a project go like this before.
But yeah, I know how you feel.

Kitchen update. Warning. This may be a long post that may turn into a rant.

We have granite in the kitchen. It is beyond beautiful. Yesterday we spent most of the day up in Nashville because they sold the slab we bought so the owner sent us to a couple of other places to find something we liked. Most was too black, too brown, or boring. So we went back to our granite place and we walked the lot and found 2 beautiful slabs and it was installed this morning. After the guys (4 of them) left we just admired the kitchen. Then, this evening I started wiping it all down and found 2 good size chips and a real long crack in the 4ft piece next to the refrigerator. Bad crack that could not be seen because of the complexity of the graining but can be felt and seen close up. There are 2 big, deep gouges in my brand new hardwood floor where the barstools will be. My poor hardwood floor. And gouges in the sides of the 10ft wall of cabinets. They must have had trouble fitting the 5ft piece in.

The invoice was $800 more than the original invoice. They said we gave them wrong sq ft before. They had a diagram with measurements when they made original invoice so we were surprised there. They gave us $500 off for selling our slab so we were caught off guard. DH is going to call owner in morning and have him come to house to see damage and find a solution.

I love the granite but am sad about the damage. Hope we can work it out. Now we need the cabinets and hardwood fixed. And I hope he has enough of that granite left to replace the cracked slab. It has to match.

We can not seem to catch a break.

Prozac numbed the feelings down to a dull roar for me. I still feel annoyed, angry, sad, giddy, etc. just not debilitating like before. Much easier to deal with than explosive rage or panic attacks. Good luck, and hope your cold clears up soon!

Rough rough rough rough day yesterday. Started the night before.

Smoked all day yesterday, and didn't really care. Didn't even try to vape until I had retired to my room last night.

But this morning, got back on the ball. Yes, I have smoked today, but vaped more than smoked.

Usually, when I have a stressful day that turns into a smoking day, it takes me a few days to get back on vaping, even after the stress has been dealt with. But today I found it easier to switch back to vaping after the all day smok-a-thon that was yesterday.

Point is, we all have bad days. And those bad days may turn into smoking days. But don't give up. It is never too late to pick up where you left off and keep moving forward.

Prozac is the weirdest drug. I took it for post-partum depression, and it helped a great deal. 15 yrs later, PTSD and hormonal mayhem conspired to plop me right back into the depression, and I had good results with prozac before, so they tried it on me again. It did relieve some of the depression, BUT it caused the rage that the depression had been "stuffing down" to just come roaring out of me, and one night I screamed so loudly I gave myself a nose-bleed. Obviously that had to change, so then they tried me on Wellbutrin, but that only kinda-sorta helped, so after a couple months, they tried Effexor -- and within 2 wks, it was like night and day. Suddenly I got up in the morning exactly as if it was a normal thing to do, instead of facing each day with lowered head and a cringe of dread. It gave me back the ability to actually deal with all that rage, in therapy instead of screaming fits.

The way I was taught to deal w4age was go out back and grab the sledgehammer/axe and split wood until I wasnt bothered anymore. I quickly ran out of wood once I found out about childs heart condition when he was still in utero

*hugs!!* how is wee one doing these days?

It's good you had an outlet for your anger. I was never "taught" how to deal with emotions, so I just stuffed them down and smoked until they went away. Once I quit smoking I became a total wreck!

Speaking of wee ones, we were at my sister's last night, where my six year old informed me that I had promised her I was not smoking anymore, and "what are you doing right now?????" Properly chastened by a first-grader! So I put it out. . .
