I guess I'm boring too, then; I always do coils somewhere between 1.6 and 1.9 Ω, and usually run whatever mod I'm using somewhere between 7 and 9.5 watts, depending on time of day and how my asthma is at that moment -- if I'm not breathing well I can't handle throat hit, though that's my favorite part! But the great thing about vaping to me -- well aside from getting rid of cigarettes! -- is that I can customize it that way, and even have different ejuices with differing amounts of TH, so I can still vape even *IF* I'm not breathing too well -- I just don't inhale, if the lungs are being finicky.

I can't stand dual coils, they're just too hot, and ruin my delicate-tasting Virginia something awful. I was using organic cotton, and the taste is really good, but cotton is such a huge PITA to get the right amount; I still use it in my RSBT because that tank is so prone to leaking, but for all my other tanks I use rayon/cellucotton, because it's a lot less finicky about that mystical "right" amount. At some point I might try that japanese KGD cotton, it's supposed to be really excellent, but it's kinda pricey, so that can wait.

I suspect it makes me an even more boring coil-builder that I really don't care at all for compressed, "micro" coils. They seem to really concentrate the heat, which for my style of vaping is not really a good thing; I don't cloud chase, in fact I really can't handle high-VG "clouds" at all, they choke me and irritate the asthma, so extreme heat isn't something I want -- as you can easily tell by my usual wattage range. I have sometimes gone as high as 10 or 10.5 watts, but it's rare. Extreme heat also wears out wicks a lot faster, though rayon does seem a great deal more heat tolerant than cotton, perhaps nearly as much so as silica.

Guess I'm just one of those boring ex-smokers who'd really like to continue being an ex-smoker, and I don't need fancy builds or monster clouds; I started building my own coils mainly out of curiosity, because I heard that it really improved the vaping experience, and also to save money, because buying all those replacement coils all the time was for the birds! :D

OK, just for you Andria, I'm looking into the RSBT. I have a version of the microcoil that would be just about perfect for your low heat, low clouds style of vaping.

Short of the RSBT, I plan to test it with the same base juice blend in a rda on my Hana dna20 so i can control the wattage to your specs.

Reports back soon!

No need to do the RSBT on my acct; I don't use it much at all. I got it mainly to have an alternative to using the quartz kit with the kayfun when I want to vape something "tank cracker," because the quartz kit has some issues with filling/draining.

I use my kayfuns 70% of the time; my Smok UDCT (locking cartotank) 25% of the time, and the other 5% is a mix of plain cartos, the RSBT, and the mini protank 2s.

Oh yeah. Well, your dislike for that unflavored worked out to my benefit.
I THINK Sunday night was my last cigarette. When I posted and said I had three cigs the night before, those were my last cigs. I should go back and check when that was. Just been so busy and so much on my mind, I can't remember. If that is the case, it just clicked this is Wed morning. Wow, working on day three and didn't even realize it.

Hey Guys, I'm lurking if not posting. Not really vaping right now... but that will change soon enough. Going to pick up some coconut water next time I'm at the store and see if that helps with the dehydration.

Tim, I'm glad the WTA is working for you. That stuff helped with my cravings a lot, but I couldn't get past the slight tobacco flavor that I just found off-putting. I'm afraid to try the aroma line of flavored WTA's, but I guess that would be my next step.

When I start vaping more than smoking again, a kfl+ is the first thing on my wishlist.

Last night was pretty cool though. I went to a charity event where a lot of strip performers come on their night off to perform and the theme was soul/funk. Some notable performers were Bubba Knight aka Pip Number 1, (Gladys Knight and the Pips) Mary Wilson (The Supremes,) Clint Holmes, one of the AGT winners (forget his name, and a bunch of other performers. It took place at a nice small room at the Hard Rock, and you can rub shoulders and take pics with the talent afterwords if you,re into that. The band rocked; it was a blast. I never thought I would see Paul Shortino (Quiet Riot, Raiding the Rock Vault) sing Marvin Gaye.

Have a good night.

Yeah, I think a banner is a good idea. I was just replying to GtrSoloist that I am forgetting when my last analog was.

I found putting up a Quit banner really helped me with the incentive to not pick up that first cigarette. I liked watching the numbers get larger and I would look at it and say, do I really want to give up 3 days quit, or 7 days, or 10 day 11 hours. The money saved is a joke for me since I do not think I will ever break even. But I am not smoking so who cares. But it was fun to see how much I was spending on cigarettes each week. It is surprising when you see it add up day after day. Makes you think a little more. Sometimes thinking is good.

Oh, just passing this along

I know we were talking about the nautilus before, and I cannot remember who all said they were using it.

Anyways, myfreedomsmokes is having a sale right now for today, maybe tomorrow. The coupon code is HALFPRICE and it is for replacement heads. They recently got the BVCs in. At their price, after the coupon, it comes out to like around 6 bucks a pack of five. But there is a limit on two items.

My nauty hasn't come in yet, but I went ahead and jumped on it myself. Funny, I had ordered some BVCs from 101vapes the day after I made the order for the device. The heads came in just a few days later. That was a couple/three days ago. Got these brand new heads sitting on my nightstand. But nothing to put them in lol.

Be funny if the second order of heads come in before the device does lol

Hi. Ok, identify yourself by telling us what gear you are vaping on. And juice; what's in those tanks? Welcome to the thread. We love questions and stories and jokes and all kinds of stuff. Some of us still smoke, some don't and all kinds of places in between.

I am using a Russian 91% on a Provari but still like my spinners and mvp2 and 510 attys. I am vaping Ahlusion Caramel Pear Black Tea and Smooth Criminal at 12mg.

Well I'm coming up on 7weeks smoke free but still fight the urges. I was told to come check this thread out by my husband (etherealink) which has been on here for a while. I'm gaping a kfl on a magneto and the current juice is monster bash at 12mg. I'm waiting for the local b & m to their pin up juice in so I can get some of it

May I suggest that you buy a small bottle of your favorite juice in an 18mg or 24mg nic. Just to vape for about 5 to 10 minutes during those 'urge' times. It will not wreck your normal nic level but will put a serious cramp in cravings. (It also works if you get a bottle in a totally different type of flavor than your fave at higher nic and just use it during crave times).

Your husband is a favorite here. Welcome to you and hang out with us.

Getting a quit banner really, really helped me to stay on track and conquer the cravings and urges. I would look at those numbers and keep asking myself if it was worth it to start the counter over for just one stupid cigarette. It wasn't. I have a big stubborn streak and a big ego.

Sunday will be 7 weeks
