I vape just about anywhere by vaping discreetly and blowing the vapor rapidly downward toward the floor. Sometimes in a restaurant I'll look up and see someone staring at me, but they never say anything. The ones who come up and talk to me are those who know what an ecig is and want to know where to buy one for their relative who needs to quit smoking. They want to know if it helped me quit, is it satisfying, and where did I buy it. I carry vendor cards in my wallet for that purpose and give them the ECF URL on the back of the card.

It's a strange experience to vape around four naked Finnish men who are used to minding their own business and do their best to stare at the floor inside a sauna, yet are dying to take a peek at that strange thing you're using :)

Strange experience? I refer to that as "Saturday afternoon" where I live. :p

I'm allowed to vape in the kitchen at work out of view of customers (I'm surprised because its a fine dining establishment) but my boss vapes as well and appreciates my lack of smoke breaks :) In all fairness though I am under a huge ventilation system while in the kitchen.

I was also allowed to vape in my dads hospital room on a no smoking campus.

Well I'm in New Jersey, everything that the politicians think but cannot prove to you that is bad is banned in public Park, within a school, public buildings, etc... I actually got a ticket smoking with in 25 feet from a police station. Just got a new permit to purchase a new a handgun, was so excited that I started vaping in the my own car, cop seen that and issued me the ticket. He didn't want to hear it and told me to tell it to the judge. Went to court and explained it to the judge that is was just vapor, just as we are breathing. Judge did not budge and had to pay a $95 ticket for that offense. Here in NJ, vapor is considered the same thing as smoking or smoke which I think is just ridiculous, might as well not boil water in restaurants or cook food in a microwave at public building since it produces vapor, or better yet, not even breathe!!!!!

It's amazing how many people and places are totally cool with it if you bother to ask first.

Some folks are predisposed to being jerks about it... a few months ago I was at the transit center (which is outdoors and well away from any doorways or buildings) I walked away from the main group of people and began to vape. Not 2 minutes later, I was approached by a transit authority officer. He insisted that I stop smoking. I nonchalantly replied that I wasn't. He replied that: he knew what that thing is! It's one of those electronic cigarettes! I replied "cool, then you know I'm not smoking"
"You ARE smoking! And it has all those chemicals in it!"
(I look over at the black smoke belching out of the bus right next to us and reply) "hey, it'll be alright, I'll stop, but you need to understand that I'm doing so because you asked me to, not because you are correct or that what I'm doing is illegal." I continued, "perhaps you should be more informed before confronting people." (And yes, I do speak like that)
The irony, to me is that Vaping is totally ok IN the mall that the transit "center" is in the parking lot of..... I'd have been inside vaping, but I really did not want to risk missing my bus.

I think you hit the hidden nail on the head here. Vaping is increasing productivity by eliminating your need for a legally mandated break.

I'm self employed, and my boss is a big jerk and uses a lot of profanity [emoji13]. Even that jerk realizes that not interrupting my creative flow, by going outside to smoke, puts money directly in his pocket. The bosses wife says that all of the flavors smell like kettle corn, that's cool though, as she (still smokes) loves kettle corn.

Last resturant I went to I asked if it was ok, and they said it was no problem at all.

We will allow patrons to vape in the bar room areas, but generally discourage it in the dining room at their table...but generally as long as no one complains no one says anything.

Yeah the lack of breaks...honestly the only reason I started smoking in the first place was because generally in the restaurant biz...especially once you could no longer smoke inside...if you didnt smoke you didn't get a break :(

Now though, I find I don't need that break and just have a vape here and there. My productivity has increases no doubt.

Our office has a "no ecig" policy.

"The rationale for a ban on e-cigarettes is that:
-although they do not produce smoke, e-cigarettes produce a vapor that could provide an annoyance or health risk to other employees;
-some e-cigarette models can, particularly from a distance, look like real cigarettes, making a smoking ban difficult to manage, and creating an impression to others that it is acceptable to smoke"

To be honest, I don't mind going outside to vape. When I was on analogs, I had a routine for ciggie breaks. Now I use the same routine for vaping. If I sat vaping at my desk, I'd end up with palpitations like I do on the weekends when I don't realise I've been chain-vaping 1.6% for 5 hours straight.

As I'm vaping to quit smoking (success! My first day vaping was my last day smoking, 27 days ago), I don't want to start vaping in places I wouldn't normally smoke. So I'm walking around a supermarket. Can I not wait 10 minutes until I get outside? I could when I smoked analogs, so why can't I when I'm vaping?

I used to suppress my nicotine cravings when out having a meal with friends, because I was the only smoker and didn't want to go stand outside on my own to get a fix. If I could do it then, I can do it now.

I'm old and have to pee a lot. And I can carefully vape in any bathroom stall on Earth and never get caught, never be suspected, never set off a smoke detector and - best of all - never make anyone sick.

If I were able to go out and do things in the world outside my home like I used to, I would have a traveling APV with high PG/low VG juice, while my home device would have my preferred low PG/high VG. As everyone knows, the former would produce limited visible vapor, which - in combination with taking smaller draws - would help me to easily vape in any bathroom stall without ever creating enough vapor to be seen or smelt by anyone else.

I have to pee a lot. So every place I would ever go, I'd have to first spot out all the bathroom facilities in my location so that I would be viably prepared for both my ...... and my vaping.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's been 15 minutes since my last pee. I have to go.
