Our office has a "no ecig" policy.
"The rationale for a ban on e-cigarettes is that:
-although they do not produce smoke, e-cigarettes produce a vapor that could provide an annoyance or health risk to other employees;
-some e-cigarette models can, particularly from a distance, look like real cigarettes, making a smoking ban difficult to manage, and creating an impression to others that it is acceptable to smoke"
To be honest, I don't mind going outside to vape. When I was on analogs, I had a routine for ciggie breaks. Now I use the same routine for vaping. If I sat vaping at my desk, I'd end up with palpitations like I do on the weekends when I don't realise I've been chain-vaping 1.6% for 5 hours straight.
As I'm vaping to quit smoking (success! My first day vaping was my last day smoking, 27 days ago), I don't want to start vaping in places I wouldn't normally smoke. So I'm walking around a supermarket. Can I not wait 10 minutes until I get outside? I could when I smoked analogs, so why can't I when I'm vaping?
I used to suppress my nicotine cravings when out having a meal with friends, because I was the only smoker and didn't want to go stand outside on my own to get a fix. If I could do it then, I can do it now.
