Two poster have it with a sleeve and spring, at least two.

I'd like a KF4.1 with no juice control and have the 510 pin straight up to the deck :) The way SM designed the drip tip adapter (if you look it isn't perfectly round) it doesn't apply pressure to the tank until the very last point meaning we should be able to fill without needed all that fancy stuff below the deck. I have refilled three times without closing the juice control and yet to get it to flood.

I might try the sleeve once I get my VF back from repair - they are replacing the DNA40 board.

I hadn't even noticed that part below the drip tip being "off", good idea.
That might be able to be done on the earlier model without much trouble....and a Dremel

I don't see why they can't drop the spring and drop the ability to vape while juice control is completely closed. Their marketing was always that juice control is for refilling. So do it that way and forget about being able to vape with juice closed.

Good idea, but from my experience, closing the juice control and vaping, will burn off excess liquid from any size flood/over-wicking. And I'm fairly sure that was one of its intended purposes...
No more turning it upside down to force the juice out...just vape what's on the wick until it's not gurgling!

I have the Kayfun Lite+ Five Pawns editions and it never leaks. How is this Kayfun 4? I was wondering if I should go out and dish out the $180 or whatever the price is. I really do appreciate my KFL+. Of course It's not a Billow or Lemo but I see no leaks and I'm super happy with that.

Been using mine exclusively for almost a month, zero leaks with 10-15mls a day and nightly rewick. It's solid and tight, like it was uncovered in some German bunker from WWII and was machined and built one at a time from a solid block of 316ss. Amazing with so many parts. You may not like the vape, as some others, but the build quality is superb. I have broke it down a few times and noticed some gunk on the spring, but not one leak.

If one is used to the earlier K'funs (3.1ES / KFL / Russians) there's no way s/he will not like the K4. This one has bettered its older siblings manifold. JC, top-fill, airflow, deck design/ease of rebuild and the 'look' (especially thru the tank) are few to reckon. The draw also can be fine-tuned to the KFL+ if one must. So, if anyone is complaining s/he must be in denial imho.

Well, as we've already determined, there IS a learning curve. I'd almost equate it with going to a different country, and learning how to drive on the other side of the road.
You're familiar with a car, all the parts of it, all the parts involved in driving it...but this time, things are slightly different...you check your mirrors, adjust your seat, adjust the steering wheel and/or pedals, all familiar but different...and the one part (actually driving) seems backwards!
Adjusting the vehicle = building, assembling tank, using preferred mod connector...all familiar but different.
Driving = the learning curve most experienced with operating the juice control...many were tightening it on accident.

... And some people just can't change. I'm sure I would kill myself on the road if I had to drive on the wrong side of it ;)

Aren't you already driving on the wrong side of the road, where you are?! :D

Does anyone know how I could get a spare screw that is not included in the spare part kits? (why would a screw not be replaceable....

I need part A9, that screw that holds the connectors together. I sort of mangled it and would like a smooth replacement

Well I emailed InTaste and asked about screw A9. They don't have any, so I'm guessing none of the distributors do. They are emailing svomesto to get the scoop.

Im wondering if this screw has anything do with the gap between my p3 connector. I damaged it while taking it apart and it is rough on top and uneven. we will see

Any part/item which is not in the three Spare Kit bags (Kit1-Large, Kit2 and Kit3) is not available with any vendor. In such a scenario we got two choices ~ (1)request the vendor from which we purchased our K4 to procure it thru OEM, &/or (2)hit Fasttech for a cloned part and pray that it fits! I believe they have every bit & pieces of the K4 down there.

Ha, imagine my plight. I drive in four countries regularly, three with their MTO provided Licenses and one with an IDP. Furthermore, traffic and road management in three out of the four are totally different.

I'm not sure how badly you messed it up, but if it's just the top surface with screw slots, then it really shouldn't hurt anything. You could use a flat file to knock the burrs off of it, or a flat sharpening stone, or even sand paper placed on a flat surface. Mine has a slight burr on it around the screw slots, but I decided to leave it so that the burr would "bite" into the plastic insulator, which allowed me to tighten the 510 connector completely.
