BNEAT; I know it looks like art and qorax vetted your build, but I think it needs a little bit more cotton. I would even make it a tad longer/thicker so that it can cover the juice holes completely.

Having said all these, I don`t have experience with the S kit nor with separated coils.

I found some AlienVisions PG Hype on my Island-of-Misfit-Juices (not sure the PG/VG ratio, but it's pretty thin)

I didn't change ANYTHING but the juice: dumped the "Boba's" and filled it with "Hype", same build, same wick, and it's bubbling along just fine now. I chained vaped at 40watts and it kept up without any problem at all...(my lungs can't say the same)

Now how the fuq am I going to get this thing to work with Boba's???

@BNEAT: I'm using it with Boba's right now. Admittedly it's not wicking super great, but I just received my unit yesterday and this is my first build and first wick. I am noticing some dry-ish hits, but then again the tank level is definitely going down. Maybe try a few drops of distilled water to thin it a bit? I might try the same. Boba's and Gorilla Juice are my ADVs...

I thought about thinning it with water, but I've already diluted it with VG, and I tried diluting it with PG, but I didn't like it.

Do you have the S-kit installed, or the stock Center Post?

I don't see where fewer connections will help anything, as long as they repeat. I guess if you were to use this on a Mech you might be worried about voltage drop, but who does that anymore?

I think it was either John Fluke, or one of the founders of Tektronics (all very serious EE dudes), who defined a connector as a point of failure between two perfectly good pieces of equipment. Fewer connections does matter. In this atty, I cannot say, but in electronics in general, little details like that tend to matter. Voltage drop means you are heating something besides the coil, and your battery life will notice.

I'm down to two Mechs, but love both of 'em.

Using stock center post at the moment. Current build is 1.7 ohms because Provari 2. Plus I overdid it on my first build.

Well, I watered down some Boba's with regular old tap water, and to no surprise, it's flowing just fine. Taste a little funny, but it's the same wick I was running "Hype" through, so I guess I'll re-wick tomorrow and see if I can come up with a dilution that I can stand...Maybe that'll be easier than I think.

I'm having a hard time restraining myself from throwing it in my CNC and letting the chips fly! I still can't believe an atty of this caliber won't work with 100%VG

Im gonna mix a 100%VG no-flavour juice in the next days, well, maybe add a bit of menthol, and run it through the V4 (still fighting vapers tongue). I'm sure, it will wick and vape. Captivape works and other users have no problems too.. Read all your posts, still can't believe it's an original..

Oh man! Captivape has some of the best juice on the market! Most underrated company in this hemisphere! Their customer service is on par with Provape! No joke!
They're like a "best kept secret" company...people are always amazed they aren't bigger than they are.

I've read this entire thread since its inception with great interest, and finally received my KF4. After having a problem similar to one described weeks ago wherein my kayfun 4 locked up, and I fixed it using the freezer trick, now I'm having another small issue that I thought someone here might be able to advise my on.

When I open up JC all the way, the unit looks flush. However, when I close the JC, a gap shows up just under the airflow ring, between the ring and the base. I'm also seeing tiny amounts of juice seeping into this gap, most noticeable when I open the JC back up (and the gap then closes).

Any idea what I might have done wrong to cause this? It seems like other peoples' units have no gaps or visible difference between the JC s open or closed.

Since anything that moves (lifts or depresses) while the JC is under rotation is internal and nothing changes on the external facade - there's absolutely no reason why there should be a gap under the ring and the base connector.

did my first ni200 build!!!!

i have been using my kayfun v4 for about 2 wks with kanthal ( 28g ) on my ZNA and it has been working GREAT!!! I am really liking this tank over all the other that i have. So last weak i finally get my vapor shark rdna in and have been using the v4 with kanthal and a atlantis with the temp coils with good results. yesterday i decide to do my first ni200 coil and in the V4. i used twisted 32g ni200 on a 3mm screw with 8 - 9 wraps using Shiseido cotton came out to .22 ohms and it's rock stable ! have the rdna set a 430F and 26.5 watts. after 5 refills the coil and cotton are still clean!!! but man am i going threw some juice now!!!! but am really enjoying the V4 even more now!!!

i would just like to say thank you for all the info on this site!!!!

When did the temp sensing coils for the Atlantis come out? I've only seen them for the Nautilus. Just wondering, finally broke down and had to get an Atlantis to see what the hype was all about. Pleasantly surprised to say the least, lol

Awww poo, you got me all excited. The Atlantis is shockingly good as the only non-RBA device I currently own, the prospect of TC in it was kinda exciting.
I'm sure they will release the TC coils as they made them for the nautilus.
Also i hope they bring out a deck or coils that you can make your self. £15 for 5 is very expensive.
Looking to buy one also.

Hmm.. The Banana Cream Pie Max VG is the only one I've tried. Picked it up at vapor-freak DE, the only place that has them here, apparently, 15 EUR for 30ml. Not the whole range, and not all nic levels. Will have a go on other flavours sometime. Now I have to master my DIYing skills..

Seems like the other thread "Attack of the K4 clones or counterfeits" is aptly named. I can imagine how much metal will end up in landfills especially from people that are unaware of this site. They will just give up and throw them away.

It has been one month now with my authentic and after the brief learning curve I've not had a single leak, gurgle or hiccup. Same coil (28ga,2.4mm,1.3ohmn,9.2w,kanthal) I have replaced the rayon wick twice though. I'm of the mind that you should get what you pay for. This is not to flame but, just saying..................

I'm going to take your advice and try thicker wick tails before I resort to something drastic. I was going the opposite direction with most of my attempts, so I'm still leaning toward user error on this one, but I still don't think it should be this difficult to wick VG

It's an original, but there still could be something wrong with it. Maybe a step in the machining process was skipped? I hope yours works out for you, keep us posted.
