Yeah, I had a little trouble with the JC at first myself. I'm just so used to righty tighty, lefty loosy. Doesn't take too many floods to learn which way is the correct way though.

Do you realize how many people will not get a K4 (or rebuildable) because it is too intimidating to them? Anyone who plunges in and gives it a try is deserving of respect.![]()
So, new to the thread but not the Kayfun. I received my Kayfun 4 yesterday and had it for less than 24 hours then accidentally lost the bottom insulator in my car rendering it useless, I suckI haven't read through the thread yet to see if anyone else has experienced this but I am not getting (when I had it working) good flavor from this atomizer at all, it's actually quite awful. It's not that it's lacking flavor, it's that it actually tastes bad. I was only able to put two builds in with different juice and I kept getting an identical weird flavor along with the flavor of my juice, so it's not my juice. I have use these identical builds in my Kayfun Lite and Lite+ v2 for a while now and never had this issue.
My two builds were Japanese cotton and a spaced 8 wrap screw build of 28awg ni200 on a DNA40. My ohms came out around .14ish or so. Before the second build I took the atomizer apart again, this time I took the base apart and noticed some sort of lubricant perhaps, it was clear and thin, and greasy. I cleaned it all off the best I could thinking this might be why it's not tasting good, somehow that lubricant is heating and creating a odd taste. So I rebuilt it and I'm still getting the same type of flavor. Not entirely sure why I am not getting close to a good flavor from this device.
Now my atomizer is sitting here staring at me because I lost the teeny tiny insulator that's super slippery. It shot out of my fingertips like a cannon, I swear it lol, my fault for sure. I planned to build a kanthal coil to see if I got different results but now I'm stuck until the spares come in, which I should have ordered from the start, and honestly, for the price of this atomizer and all atomizers, o-rings and tiny insulators and screws should come free as spares. I mean really, these things cost pennies and I have to spend $17 shipped to replace that tiny plastic insulator? I have 3 different tanks to choose from but no little replacements? I'm irritated.
Anyway, in conclusion, has anyone had this experience with the colored flavor, not a lack of flavor but a weird flavor?
Woohoo!!! A well deserved triumph!!!
It sounds like you've got it down, but in case you need a reminder:
The motion of putting it ON your Provari is the motion to turn ON the juice.
The motion of taking it OFF your Provari is the motion to turn OFF the juice.
I've had a 0.6ohm parallel in the last week vaping at up to 30W with 70vg juice, and there haven't been many wicking issues. Though my airflow is set for mouth his approximately KF3.1 tightness. I don't imagine it would be that successful with wide open air though.

Love that smoked tank Mtek!
I do have the Vaperev repair kit, and I ordered the FT insulators as well so I can let everyone know when they get here if they seem good quality.
I do have some extra clear glass tanks from FT and they seem fine. Smooth edges, etc.
I like to stock up on extra pieces parts just in case
And it might be silly, but I like the colors you can get sometmes with the clone replacement tanks. I saw a purple bell cap on someone's k4, and admit it was pretty. I might get that, too.
PURPLE???!!!!?? I need to check that out! Wonder if they are glass?
ETA...just filled up the K4 for this first time and happy to report I didn't spill juice every where..shocking. But between tighty righty and to take a tank off, remember to turn right..if I messed up again, I should have to sell this thing due to ignorance.
Well, no problems there, too.How about Scott (Igetcha69)?![]()
This is really the long and the short of it I think. When I put the 4s kit in I started having issues with wicking.
It has been a bit better today. Filling the tank to about 3/4 instead of all the way seems to help. Wicking gets better as I progress through a tank.
Nonetheless I think the stock airflow center post is going back in on the next rebuild. Opening up the airflow doesn't do a whole lot of good if you can't get enough juice to the coil to keep it properly fed.
