SX Zero 50w Clone

I just fixed mine. Took out the Allen screw and held towards the base with pliers. Took off about a mm or so with 320 grit sandpaper then sanded with 600 grit for a matching finish. Make sure too sand in one direction as well.

Not going to touch the 510 this week but I've built a couple of mods myself with fat daddy 510s so it's definitely in my wheel house

OK people ... I have some good and juicy news, and I have some bad news about production on all SX Zero's.

I hate to engage in conspiracy theories (sincerely), but I have for some time believed that not only was the Bypass and Link functions removed ON PURPOSE, from the Yihi SX 300 chips supplied to Eachely, but I also believed that the high battery level indicator was also CREATED ON PURPOSE. Why? Essentially to make the chip "appear" to be less authentic... to make it appear like an inferior clone chip. ;-)

And believe me, this is something that Yihi is conniving enough to do in order to discredit any claim that the SX Zero clone housed an authentic Yihi chip ... don't forget that Yihi is trying to be high end these days not to mention that they don't want to upset their modder clients

You are correct. The versions of the HotCig Zero 50W to date have all had AUTHENTIC YiHi SX-300 chips. YiHi has adamantly denied this, for obvious reasons, but now that word has gotten out, they have STOPPED providing the chips to HotCig. Cut them off cold! While HotCig still has a few thousand chips available, they have no replacement method as of yet for when they do in fact run out.

I guess you're the type that always need to be right and not like it when someone can add correct additional information that you couldn't. Wasn't my intention to one-up you, but simply provide information to users here that is relevant & correct. Shame on me for trying to give back to the community!

What did you inform us of that was not previously stated? The viewers of this thread have been following the production of the Wood SX Zero since its inception. So you weren't providing any news flashes.

I smell something fishy going on with the behind the scene dynamics This may explain Eachely's sudden chip supply shortage Although both Eachely and SXK were being supplied these chips for a while now .. can't wait to see how this all plays out.
