I'm planning on ordering this monstrosity as well even though I'll probably never run it above 45 joules! It will make for lazy Saturday chain vaping without switching batteries!!

From what I understand if you get the extension tube you can bring up the wattage to 120 if you are in wattage or non-TC mode. However, if you are using TC mode you will still be limited to their 50 joule limit, extension tube or not. The advantage is just more battery life and not more joules in TC mode.

I have wondered why Yihi made a 50J limit in TC mode but then after using the device I rarely go above about 34J anyway. If you are setting your temperature setting somewhere in the low to mid 400 range as I see most folks have been doing, it would serve little purpose to have a higher joule setting. The joule setting appears to only be used to get you to your temp quicker if you set it higher. Once it reaches TC the chip takes over to limit the power. That being said, with the powerful and powerful + modes you could receive that same effect without having to have a high joules setting.

Another point, being sick with a bad cough I am having difficulty vaping without getting into a coughing spree. I have found that using the soft mode eases in the vapor more gradually rather than the other modes. Using this mode I find that I have less tendency to have it trigger a coughing sensation. When I first got the device a few days back I preferred the Powerful mode. But that was when I didn't have a cough. Just something to think about and their various modes.

I was aware of that going in but I really ordered it for the simple reason that I'll get longer battery life while running between 35-40 joules without removing that blasted battery cover lol! Plus I just like to have everything the mod intended !

I've been using the new Mini since Friday, every day, exclusively... still can't believe how awesome the vape is. Absolutely fantastic device. Sorry, all my old mods!

Below is a pic of my standard TC build for reference ... wicked/juiced/ready to seal up. Also a pic of the Lemo 2 posing beautifully on top of the SX Mini.

I'm in vape heaven.

Jealous, I'm patiently waiting for someone in Canada to carry the Lemo 2 as that is the same setup I want. What gauge are you running?

When I set the temp and come back out of the menu it seems that it may just be displaying the actual current temperature of the coil and not what you just set the coil at. Once you fire it you will see the varying temperature settings a few per second. Once done firing it returns to the setting temperature.

My guess is that is what it is supposed to do by design. They chose to display the current temp and not the set temp when leaving the menu.

Yea that's probably what it is. I just did it again and it went to 183F so it makes sense. That is after letting the device sit without vaping for several minutes.

I just started testing out the Subtank family ni200 OCC coils on the SX Mini. It's working well so far getting a great vape.

How's the battery life going for everyone? I have a Sony VTC 4 in here and I seem to be getting decent battery life. I probably vaped a little bit under 6ml of juice and I have around 50% battery left.

I have been switching back and forth between a Subtank mini with the NI200 coils and a Delta II using their RDA with NI200 and finding that my new LG batteries last most of the day with my normal usage. I usually run out in the late evening. To get to that point I probably burned about 6 ml of juice or maybe a little more.

Nice. I've been using the new Subtank Plus with the RBA section and it works great. I have the Delta 2 as well and plan on testing that out within the next few days.

I know the spec sheet says 50 joules max for temp mode, but what does the unit itself go up to, 50 or 60 joules?

At least with using joules in the temp mode, you not going to mistake which mode you are in with that big J or big W on the screen.

50J is the high limit. In wattage mode it is 60W without the extension tube.

One of the things I noticed in the spec sheet for the SX350J is that the USB charging does not appear to work if you are using 2 batteries.

There's also the question of whether or not it will go into Joules mode with 2 batteries. The spec sheet isn't real clear on that.

Also noticed that the SX330 with TC only goes up to 50J as well. That's based on the spec sheet for the iPV4

My M class shipped today. Looking forward to it.
Received mine this evening after work. pre ordered from ginger vaper a while ago. They were delayed on their shipment a few days but a few days made no difference to me after the long pre order wait. I was pleasantly surprised to receive 4 x 5ml juice samples and an sx mini extension tube which I didn't order.
I'm running a Derringer with a .26 ohm 30g ni200 build. Went a little overboard with the wraps on a 3mm mandrel (14).
I'm running it 20 joules @ 400. Lots of vapor with decent flavor. Coil is probably way too long since it's showing darkening gunk in the center 1/3 of the coil. It's a spaced coil but it's tight. All in all I think it was a success for my first ever ni200 build but time to play with some more wire. I need to read up more on these threads and learn more From the more seasoned temp control people.
It's a beautiful little mod. Nicest I have so far.

A balanced charger is required for series batteries same as the SX350 100W there isn't any TP boards above 50J ;) unless you count the SMOK M80plus :)

There is no available (downloadable) firmware for the 350J? Its curious everyone is saying V1.4 for the 350J when there was only ever 1.2 and 1.3.1 released for the SX350 mini coincidence?

Time to reflash the 350 mini with V1.4?

Alright, so I ordered up some 30AWG Ni200, some Japanese cotton (Muji), and a Subtank Mini. Tired of the restrictive airflow on my Kayfun, even after boring out the airflow and center post.

Anyway... Will the 30AWG nickel build a decent coil inside the RBA section of the Subtank Mini? ie, not needing like 80000000 wraps to get to .2 ohms? LoL

You should be fine with 30 Gauge on the Subtank RBA section! I would do 9-10 wraps around a 3mm screwdriver to get around .2ohms but even if you want to shoot a little lower say .15-.17 you will have no problem on the M class. I've had great results with 7 wraps with 30 gauge in my subtank on both my VS DNA 40 and my SX Mini M Class. I will say though that 28 gauge is so much easier to work with and the Temco 28 gauge NI200 is the only thing I've been building with now! I run at .11 and it's working great on my SX Mini.

Edit: Also don't rule out twisted 30 gauge for some extra stability!
