I noticed the same thing didn't care for the 1st one i used but after a good soak and run thru the ultrasonic it was really good. Not sure why a cleaing made such a difference but it did. I will say so far the smok gimlet is my favorite ni200 premade coil tank so far, I have ST,gimlet, heatvape ecotank and smok giant all are good but overall the gimlet has superior flavor and cloud production its only con it size 3ml but they are coming out with a bigger one soon, also ordered the smok tct today should have it Thursday will update after I've run it thru the paces.

I didn't adequately convey what I wanted to in my first post on this subject. I did clean the STM and it started to work with the Kanger nickel coil, but I meant to write that I think the first one was a dud. I'm going to keep a mental check list of how many work in this 5 pack. I'll continue to clean the tank thoroughly in between coils but I predict that I will have more duds in the pack.

I'm glad you're vaping on one that works too though. Isn't it amazing? I thought the STM was sub-par until now but it is really kicking!

I understand that. First I've heard of a 75w upgrade this month though.

I posted a link to a post from Onedesign1 of "Varitbue" a week or so ago regarding the 150w update coming he's been a reliable source of information so far. I'm not sure where the 75w is originating from or how accurate that is but yes there is an update in the works.

Here's the post from Onedesign1

I got my info on the 75W from Yihi when I emailed them about their && problem and my paint issues. Whether or not they follow through with 75W update and the 150W we shall see. You never know what Chinese companies are gonna do or not do. I also had Ginger Vapes say something about both updates as well. BTW the owner of Ginger Vapes was super nice and talked my ear off for 45 minutes lol. Customer service was great and is gladly replacing my bad painted Mini with a new one or different color

I've decided if I have the black paint issues, I am going to disassemble the little booger and take the black sleeve to work and give it a fine bead blast to bare metal and be done with it. Problem solved.
Of course everything looks good on paper...lol.

I had Mike at that company also spend a long conversation with me telling me about the halted shipments and explained everything to me about the issues with the BLK paint as well as many other things. Never once pressured me to wait and buy it from them, just wanted to inform me. That is GREAT customer service...

For that reason alone, they are getting my order once the issue is fixed..

Which looks better?- that's your decision ... I think the black vapes better once the paint wears off...

you bet... 24 ga, 11 1/2 wraps... I tried 26 ga and that was really good too but 24 is just sooooo smooth... more wraps, more contact etc... ko gen doh wick
I bet it must be smooth, but how does the ramp up time compare to the 26ga which is pretty long too.

From YiHi with regard to USB charging and vaping at the same time,

"Dear Richard,

Like the celphone, it can use when it is charging. But we are not suggest to use when charging. pls noted that."

So it can be used but be careful is what they are saying to my mind. Sorry I could not get the other questions answered. I don't want to know any info YiHI do not want me to know. So all is good :)

Plus if your Vaping on it while charging your probably putting some tension/bend on it even if ever so slightly.. The USB port is not covered under YiHi’s full one year warranty, and if loosened may result in connection issues and it not being able to apply firmware updates, and that would suck

Sounds like they are trying to protect us from what might be a "not that great" USB setup so better safe then sorry IMO

that makes no sense. Either it is good to use while charging or it isnt. It implies there is some problem if you do...crazy!

It implies the USB is the weakest link to me. Hope they beef that up in the future but the M CLass is like the Mk1. The MK2 should be interesting :) They will fix the silly battery cap too i am sure. But it is indeed a shame we cannot leave a USB teather on :(

I still think it's great we can charge via USB in an emergency. That is how I look at it now. Software updates are important so maybe that will explain things a little more when we get the next one. I wonder what the software update will bring? I susupect the BMS is not very efficient and that can have some love. And I hope we can soon auto-detect the RES. Would love inductive charging on a future model but no one seems to want that. Inductive charging would mean no charging and vaping at the same time. Great as a desktop set-up. A USB teather is interesting too, so no battery needed. Ok I will shut up.

Vape and prosper all

I think its clear that it works for charging (it does, I tried it) and it works as usb passthrough. Bottom line is that it isnt covered under warranty so if we use it for these purposes and break it, we will have to pay for it to be fixed. End of!

to be honest, the build quality on tgis is so good, I doubt it would be a problem with normal, careful use. There was no play in the prort when I plugged it in. Seemed pretty solid but ymmv as usal!
