What kind of carts are the ones that vaporsense sells precut? The ones that came with my LQ work great, the first one lasted about a week, and I cleaned it out, hopefully it's good after that, I wont know until this second one needs it, but it was still hitting fine, just had an odd leaking issue. I wouldn't mind getting more at a hopefully cheaper price, and cutting them myself.

They offer Boge and Dual Coil cartos (unless they have introduced something new recently). I love DCC but only at 6V.

Resurrector question ... I received some yesterday and tried the first one today. I punched 2 holes, just like I've been doing for months in my regular sized Boge's .. but had problems .. the Resurrector had tons of juice, in fact it flooded and I had to blow it out. Had one good vape then the next ones all tasted burnt. Do the holes for a Resurrector get punched differently than a regular Boge does? Any ideas?

I have found that DCC and Resurrector cartos work the best with just one tinny punched hole. They seem to feed a lot faster than Boges, probably due to a less dense filler or lesser volume of filler. From many reports we've read from numerous users, it seems that Boge cartos work the best with a slot or a larger hole while Resurrectors require one very small hole.

Thanks! I'll ditch this Resurrector and go punch a 2nd one .. with just one hole.

Do you still punch that hole down low .. like on the Boge's .. or should it be higher up?

I punch it low so that I can get the full use out my tank. But a friend of mine told me that he likes to punch his a few mm higher. The coil in the Resurrector is about a third of the way up and he likes the liquid entering the carto right where the coil is. I find that most of the filler is wet at all times even with the hole all the way in the bottom so I just prefer it that way.

Vaporologist - just got me some resurrectors and am going to punch my first tonight. Thanks for all the tips! What are you using to make the 'small hole'?

I don't have a fancy setup, just a really sharp nail and a hammer. Many people use a SS punch and I need to find time to go get one. The idea is to use something really sharp so that you don't dent the carto too much. More times it takes to hit the nail before it finally punctures a hole, more your carto will get deformed. I aim for being able to make the hole with only one or two hits. And I stop as soon as I hear the pop where I know the carto has been punctured. Making the hole any wider resulted in flooding for me (with DCC).

With my Boge carts in a tank, I find the top of the filler dry.

I did too. Even the Resurrector doesn't appear to be completely wet at the top. But it doesn't seem to matter since the area where the coil is stays wet at all times. That's the main reason why I like this carto for tanks.

It's very funny how different juices act on carts. I have been using the boge precut carts from vaporesence. My blueberry from Provape lasts me about 22 tanks/22 days. Malty toffee from BWB exactly 2 tanks/2 days. If I try to squeeze a third tank out of the malty toffee cart the draw is so stiff it is just not enjoyable.

I'm gonna try the crystal clear carts just to save some money.

Wow. There are a lot of posts in this thread, I've already spent hours here lol. Still haven't seen my issue, but then I have been skipping around. Figured I might as well just ask :)

New Liquinator 5.5mL Phat with standard pre-cut carto's, will not wick or stay wet, constant dry hits. I have to prime it (suck on it without pressing the button) several times for every single puff I take. I use 80PG/20VG liquid, so it's not like it's extremely thick or extremely thin liquid. I can drip directly onto the carto filler over and over again and after just a minute of sitting it has all run back out into the tank. This is very frustrating. What the heck is wrong with this thing?

I did see on here that someone was using CE2's instead of the standard cartos. Does this work well? Can you get them pre-cut or pre-drilled? I don't do well with hand tools due to arthritis issues so I'd prefer them that way if at all possible. If not I'm sure I could rope some random family member into helping me out lol. And if I can do this, what ohms is recommended for 3.7v? How about for 6v?

Through my experience a carto is a fickle thing. It sounds to me that you may just have got a bad carto... It happens... Try out a different carto and see if that helps. Sometimes, carto filler is just too dense and won't work well in a tank. On the opposite spectrum, some Dual coil cartos wick too fast for a tank. Most likely, changing out the carto may be the solution your looking for. On a side note, if your switching from atties to cartos for the first time, the cartos are different creatures then atties, they take time getting used to. Hope this helps!

With a steel tube CE2 carto, you just slot or hole punch the carto a tad higher than the bottom cap of your Phat tank. Slotting with a dremel is pretty easy and you only need one slot. Don't make the slot too big or your tubing won't be stout enough to support the tank. If the juice can get inside the carto to wet the wicks, it will work fine. Well, as fine as a CE2 can work, at any rate.

Hey guys--got my Phat tank today and so far it's working great.I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a list of juices that cause the tank to crack available anywhere? On the Vaporescence web site they say--"Unfortunately sometimes liquids cause tanks to crack, we all know and understand this. There are lists available online of what is and is not good to use in the tank"--but they don't give a link to wherever this list may be. I know about cinnamon, menthol and citrus but was surprised to hear in this thread that banana also can cause trouble--I'll really have to resist using my banana as it is one of my faves(anyone using it without problems?).So--if anyone knows where this mysterious "list" might be or can let me know of any bad experiences they have had it would be much appreciated!

wow, thats something new to me but then again i dont keep up with these things. i just finished 2 tanks of 2 different cinnamon juices, just ordered a new banana flavor and thats gonna go in the tank too because now that ive gotten the hang of this thing its the only way i vape. so i guess ill test that theory out.. so far no cracks. vaporescence sells the clear tube part for $5 so i dont see it as an issue.
