Someone else had posted that if you put the carto in the fridge for about 15 minutes,
the label peals right off with the glue still stuck to label.

Haven't tried it myself yet.

Ok I gotta try that, and it that doesn't work I'll try it in the freezer. Will report back in 30 min :)

well I guess I can stay up another 30 minutes, thanks.

LOL, don't get ur hopes up. Just seems too easy and simple to be true.

Well results for a Boge after 16 min in regular fridge is ........ NADA :(

So trying same one in freezer for 16min and will report back in same time.

It almost got me at first as it was coming off but it was only the part that was stuck to the paper or the overlap.

Was really hoping that extra minute would do the trick but maybe that's what messed it up LOL

Holler back in 14 min now....

Well that didn't work either, wow I feel like a mythbuster now. BUSTED But to be a mythbuster I guess I need to go to the Extreme.

I'll put the same carto in the freezer overnight and report back in about 8 to 9 hours since it shouldn't matter at that point. Wonder if this will still Vape after all this? LOL

Until then, Vape On and have a good night.

ED, thanks for trying, maybe the overnight trick will work.

Anytime and happy to try. All this and I don't even know if this tank will work for me LOL guess I am always optimistic :)

We'll see, just let me know if 8 hours isn't extreme enough but don't think it would freeze it anymore for a longer duration but Chemistry was not my best subject.

If it doesn't work I'll just peel it off and try my wife's nail polish remover as that usually gets anything sticky off.

One of my tanks broke this morning. I cleaned both tanks and was reassembling the first when I saw what looked like a very fine scratch. I finally realized it was a crack:

On another forum, I found this gem (a little too late) from one of the Vaporescence crew:
"When fully disassembling them and cleaning, lubricate the rings with a little eLiquid or pg/vg prior to reassembly. Forcing dry rings into a snug fit can most certainly cause cracks in the tank."

I got away with reassembling these dry about 3 or 4 times, but it looks like it finally caught up with me. I lubed the second tank with a drop of VG on each thread and they slid right in.

Lesson learned. Lube the rings with a drop of PG or VG before reassembling your tank. :(

Did you reach out to the company about the crack? It would seem they would stand by their product and replace the tube especially since you've barely had it a week.

I had 2 tubes crack like this for the MAP tank and both were replaced free of charge with no problems after sending them a pic.

Please keep us posted if you do contact them.

They don't open until 10, but I'll try to swing by today or tomorrow to see. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks Wylie, very curious on how they will handle as I am sure it is goin to happen and hopefully it is just a matter of showing it cracked to get one replaced or maybe they'll update their site.

Well it's officially BUSTED. 9 hours in the freezer right next to the ice maker and it was really good and cold and no help at all when removing the cover.

I am thinking heating it up maybe my using a hair dryer?

I now am off to see if fingernail polish remover works on removing the residue leftover.

Well after about 10 minutes using nail polish remover, paper towels and fine tuning with a Q-tip I got all the sticky residue off. I also used a plug on the thread end and just covered the other end with my finger to avoid getting any polish in it.

My only concern is if the chemicals in the polish remover evaporate entirely like ISO alcohol or if some remains on the carto and that's the last thing I would want to mix with my juice. The polish remover has a similar odor and while I don't smell any on the carto I just don't know enough about it to KNOW none remains.

Conclusion: It can be done with a little effort. Will I do this to my existing supply, probably not as I am always paranoid about mixing stuff with what I vape, says the person who smoked for 17 years LOL. I'll just buy the steel cartos from a vendor and or just buy the premade ones if I can't easily make my own.

Hope this info helps.

If you are trying to remove the residue from the carto coverings, just use acetone. It dissolves the glue and cleans up quickly.
Wet a paper towel with it and wipe until all the glue is gone; then do a final cleaning with alcohol and then water on a paper towel. All that's left is clean metal
