@Mactavish: Of course there are other apps with other features.

I was recommending Coil Genius, because @Nick N asked for SS430 support. Also, I can say that the app produces the same results as steam engine. The app you mentioned (which I also have) may use a slightly different calculation method.

I was simply offering another to look at. I like the ability to save builds, but it does not offer the custom options or TCR. Which one do you prefer?

So I got this 60w zero clone with the nickel purity setting and it says it will fire down to .06 ohm , I wrap a TI coil .25 ohm single coil and it won't detect it . Works fine on my Xcube , ipv4 , Asolo ..what am doing wrong ? It is in temp control mode btw

If its an sxk zero ... its a fixed 510 pin and it sits too low for some atties

I get their flasks and sharks with floating 510 and they work really well especially for the price

Fore see the fixed 510 issue so gave them a miss

I prefer Coil Genius because of its "visual" user interface. For me, this is much more intuitive and a joy to use. Regarding the topic of this thread, the ability to add your own wires is a big plus. SS, NiFe, Tungsten, whatever you like... Saving builds in MC Pro seems to be useful at first, but it's not needed if making a new build is a matter of seconds without torturing my brain by scanning all the buttons for each and every input parameter. Last but not least, Coil Genius is half the prize.

Another Evic Vt60 Ti mode running 430ss update.

Been vaping on my STmini for two days with my twisted 28g 430ss 6wrap .36ohm build wicked with kgd. Pretty good vape. Flavor is as good as single strand Ti but I expected it to be better. Thing is, I can't dial the temp in as accurately as Ti because the Evic goes from anemic vapor output at 220°f to hot vapor output at 240°f; maybe because of the difference in tcr curves? 230°f is where I'm at now. If the evic had 5°f increments for temp adjustments twisted 430ss would probably beat single strand Ti for flavor.

Jury's still out on how many times I can get "like new" performance with twisted 430ss after dryburning. My record for Ti stands at 21 (7watt) dryburns over 3 months and still going strong.

Good point! The temp scale for SS430 in Ti-Mode is clinched by the ratio of the TCRs, i.e. by 0.0035/0.0014 = 2.5. That is, setting 10º more/less is really 25º more/less. Could be annoying on a mod with 10º increments.

Well it didn't work all that bad but I hadn't made a coil with thin wire for so long. It was quite awkward.
I can only get it to 20 watts instead of 28, that's about it.

twist it! I had the same problem actually having been using 24g Ti so much. I made a microcoil with resistherm and tried to dry pulse it and it instantly melted one of the legs...lol! Twisted is ok though! I just started with NiFe48/52 which is really good. Handles just like kanthal. TCR is 40'ish so in between Ti and Ni. Dry burns ok, easy to coil, not springy. Ideal!

When I get home from work.. soon. Got some 48 coming. Really like Ti.
Dicodes mod has been whipped into submission.

Twisted pair of 29 gauge nife30, got my 28 watts back. This is in a TGT2
When the atty cools I'll transfer it to the Dicodes for a comparison. Not expecting it to be exactly the same though but want to see.
EDIT: Success
