I've been chucking wood, firewood, early every morning before work and I'm sick of it.. I would hire it done but it keeps me in shape.:thumb:

I'm looking forward to getting a whiteout dna200 whenever they release it. If it takes much longer I may get an hcigar vt200.
And all this time I thought Clinton was in Arizona till you mentioned wood cutting a couple of days ago.

You should actually need to be set about 40°F higher for the NiFe52 to achieve a temp equivalent to Tit in that mode.
The TCR for NiFe is a little higher then Tit. Steam Engines Wire Wizard allows you to do the exact comparison you requested.

Apparently Steam Engine Wire Wizard does not support importing settings. Above link seems to be blank page. Let me try this way.

I guess UnkamenSupplies got their NiFe 'cause I got tracking notice.

vaping some 28 awg from Zivipf ATM in a MB GEM: 8 wraps with only 6 "in the groove", dry-burned/pulse til the inner six glow, first at 7 watts the slowly to 10-15 (VS rDNA for practice only).

Wicked with KGD. Filled with a remainder of PR Creme de la Creme.

Only taste better than this was when squonking.

Didn´t see on the last few pages anything about SS-wire.

Today I got some 317 SS-wire and wrapped a dual coil for evic mini. Seems to work very well. Dry burned with cotton, 130°C did not burn the cotton but singed a little so maybe thats a good upper limit for temp.

What grade SS is the best for temp control? What mode is best, TI or NI?
It is safe to dryburn SS, right?

After battery change evic jumped in to power mode but re attaching the atomizer seemed to help with that.

Is there another thread with good info about just SS-wire?

Because of the higher TCR 430 or 410 is IMHO preferred. And, AFAIK dry-burning SS is required.

Unfortunately some mods pop out of TC/TL as the coil heats and nears its stated TC ohm limit. As already stated, you will likely get your best answers for non-Ni 200 wires here.

This is the right place!

There's a lot of info, over 100 pages, but there is lots of good info and discussion.

As far as what types of SS, it's all trade offs. 317L & 316L are easy to work with. 430 has high TCR, so is more accurate for temp. 304 is cheap.
