Hi guys,
Might need some help here, I've ordered some ss430 from Unkamen today and I'm not sure if I bought the right option.
I went for the shiny version of this one.

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/108...l-wire-nickel-free-you?ref=shop_home_active_5

Have I made a .... up??

Thanks for any help

That is what several of us ordered, though from Unkamen, at the same sale price.

Only thing you need to be aware of is that there is a very tiny amount of nickel in this wire, nothing to be concerned about unless you have a severe Nickel allergy.

Do a search of this thread for the specifics...

Thanks for that reassurance. I've had a look at the spec sheet that was posted earlier.
Lucky for me I don't have a nickel allergy.

Looks like my NiFe52 will arrive tomorrow, I got the CSV from Steamengine already but what is the TCR setting for my Dicodes?

405 is the TCR. Don't know how the Dicodes parses that.

(Just reflecting on my last NiFe 52 post/recommendation.)

The possibility of snapping a leg with NiFe, even when dry/burned, is VERY real. So, we need to get a good amount of wire under the screws. The GEM screws are TINY. Thus I have snapped the legs on my last three builds...

Now I KNOW. [emoji57]

Tracking says Friday but I think it will be Thursday.
Well I guess it will arrive Friday after all, must have sent it from Rolla to Kansas City by pack mule.

So my 28 gauge SS 430 will be here today, looking forward to trying it out. What would be a good build to showcase the dual capabilities of stainless, flipping from power mode to TC and back? I'm thinking single 3mm spaced coil at 0.5 ohm, which is what I have been using (titanium) in my Subtank Mini.

I'd recommend twisted for a single coil, 5 or 6 wrap if you're making a 3mm coil.

Got my NiFe52 from Unkamen, wow it is stiff off the spool, torched it up and will try a coil now.
No problem wrapping after torching, now to install in something.
So far besides before torching it's feels like working with Kanthal, now to vape it.

I'm hoping someone else gets their NiFe52 so this can be double checked but as I see it the alloy content is way off. I made a coil for my Magma, here's specifics: 2.7 mm id, 8 wraps contact, short legs. It came out to .480Ω where Wire Wizard puts it at just under 0.3Ω. Atomizer unfired 0.548Ω and fired 0.606Ω.
Maybe I'm wrong but got same results on two atties that I have used Ni200 and Ti with. Your thoughts please.
Now it's back in temp mode but temp displayed is way low. I'll do a screen shot here next.
