Better? Hmmm, different. The STmini tank can be removed any time without dumping juice; same reason I drawered my lemos, billow and goblin. It refills in less than 10sec. It has a little more airflow, if that's desirable to you. The flavor and vapor density is on par with the erlk; just more of it. I loved my erlk, I'm just in to "less fussy is better" these days.

Thx for the comparison although I don't consider the erlk /erlp a fuss to rebuild. Nowadays I don't even bother "hairdressing" the wick or making juice channel strands... I just pull the wick through the coil, snip it off at each end and done. Never had a leak. Size is important to me and I couldn't find anything as small as a erlk / erlp nano that holds over 3ml juice.

Absolutely rock solid res. As far as rebuilding, the STmini rba has been thought by many/most to be the easiest rba deck to build on. It has wire retainer/capture posts on both sides of the deck screws. You can mount clockwise or counterclockwise coil winds without worrying about the coil legs creeping out from under the screw heads. A far superior leg retention methodology than any other rba I've built on i e. I don't have to "retighten" the coil legs.... ever....and a great advantage when using right-hand threaded screws to wind spaced coils. Is it possible that the STmini has not gained the popularity in Europe that it has in the US?

In my estimation, not really. Unless you've got certain juices that seem to unwrap themselves a bit better in a dual coil larger airflow situation.

Erlk = erlkonigin
Erlp = erlprinz

The erlp is the poor man's version of the erlk without actually being a clone (made by i2r like the erlk) , although most of the genuine erlk owners look down on the erlp as if it was.

It works well for me.

Actually Tony there are smaller poly tanks that fit the Kanger subtank mini...and look better too I think. They come in a bunch of sizes configurations and colors at that famous Chinese vaping source.

+1 for the subtank mini rba new coil convenience. It has a great way of trapping the coil legs and takes about 5 sec to put in a new coil. It's been winning me over as the tank of choice lately because of the combination of price, configuration variability, convenience and overall tank flavor.

I have success with Ti in my TGT II, basically what I did was flip the coil over to get it much closer to the air hole.
Here's a couple screens,
I got my 28 watts till the 3rd puff on first screen, 2nd screen too but just one puff.
The old dog seems to have learned some new tricks.....finally.

Works great now....DUH

Anyone know where to get the dicodes wire in the USA? Or somehow shipped here? I am curious to try it out on the dna200 since steam engine has the TCR on there. I also bought some Ti wire from sweet spot vapes but accidently threw it away with the packaging from 4 different boxes of vape mail that came in one day. I swear sometimes I wonder what the mailman thinks I am up to with all the packages coming to my house all the time. Sometimes they just happen to come all at the same time. I somehow mixed in the SSV ti wire in the garbage from all the packaging and threw it away and I never got to try it. Good thing it was only the small sample of 10 feet or whatever. I am still going to try getting more of it. But at this point I already wasted $15 probably after shipping on the first one that I threw away. I may just get the $30 50 foot roll because I am sure I will like it. That's if it works decent with the dna200 on the ti csv that is available from steam engine. I wonder if they are ever really going to come out with a TCR for ssv wire really.

I think ssv's Ti isn't exactly grade 1 and they have their own TCR curve on their page? At least so I was told, didn't bother to check.

Anyway, glad to see this thread still going on. Anyone feel like summarising the last 10 or so pages for me? I will try and read at some point soon..

Firstly, arrived a couple of weeks ago from China via eBay - £35 / $50 four-wire/Kelvin probe micro ohm reader. Suck on my digits, baby:



(OK so it's not actually accurate to micro-ohm. I probed it with my DMM and it sends 0.1A / 100mA of current. Which is great compared to most DMMs, which often send no more than 1 or 2 mA, but nowhere near the up to 10A that a proper micro-ohm reader should send. So at most it's likely accurate to milli-ohm, 0.001Ω. Still pretty good though I think!)

Secondly, ordered today and should be here tomorrow.. bit of a luxury. Ok a huge luxury.. but I'm gonna be doing some proper scoping of these mods methinks:



A Rigol DS1054Z four channel 50mhz (hackable to 100mhz) digital storage oscilloscope. I'm gonna do me some Busardo-style mod scoping! I hope.

Don't know if this has been covered in this thread or elsewhere, but there's a new TCR adjusting mod on the way. From Smok, of all people!

After the horrible debacle of the M80 Plus, they're now releasing what appears to be not only a proper 160W TC mod, but one that also has TCR adjustment. The Smok XCube II.

It has memories, it has TCR adjustment, and this is all manageable via Bluetooth. Which could be pretty awesome.

But of course, Smok being Smok, they had to do something tacky and dumb. It would appear that you don't get TC for free, out of the box. You have to use the Bluetooth app to pay another $3 to get it. Why? Why, Smok, why? Do you have a pathological need to annoy people?

Anyway, there are two things getting me very interested in this mod.

First, this is a screenshot of the Bluetooth phone app, showing TCR adjustment:



It would appear from the screenshot that the TCR range is hopefully quite wide - perhaps 0.001 to 0.010, meaning it will work with Stainless Steel, Titanium, Resistherm/Alloy 120, and of course Ni200. Can't be sure yet, but the indications from the screenshot are positive.


Second, and really quite interesting, this is a new feature that would appear to be a way of setting the Static Resistance of the atomizer. Or maybe the mod. Either way, it's a resistance adjuster - as the DNA 200 sort of features, and as we talked a lot about in the early pages of this thread. Ie, ultimate accuracy by setting the exact resistance of a coil, accounting for SR in the atomizer (and 510, mod wiring, etc):



Here's the page 'describing' this new feature - but the English is too poor to be absolutely sure that it means what I hope it means. Quote below:
