Well the Reliant is a bit of an "odd duck"
- TCR adjustment for < $100
- No fixed wire settings built in - only a recommendation in the manual for Ni wire
- Forget the "actual" TCR of the wire, the Reliant needs to use a different number
while my two 350J devices have SS430 builds I'll leave the Reliant with the NiFe48. I'll admit that after +40yrs of analogs I can't tell the flavor difference between different wire types. Since I usually use %100VG (and way below the boiling point for VG vaping temperatures) I can however tell the difference in vapor production.
Personally the differences I've noticed tend to disappear once I get the TCR set right. When my 3rd TSV4 shows up (its in SanFran right now) I'll toss a NiFe48 on it and see how it compares to the TSV4's with SS430 builds.
While the NiFe48 seems to be easier to work with, I do like the high resistance of the SS430. Just about all but a few of my SS430 builds I can fire on my old 15W VV mods as long as the coil is >=1.0 ohms.
