@Kraken_Up, I wind all my coils as micro's and dry burn them. After dry burning they tend to end up minimal spaced. 430 is very springy to work with, but I suspect that works in its favor. I don't anneal the wire before coiling it.

The other day I wrapped three coils for three different tanks and all of them came out to 0.72Ohms and perform just great in TC mode on my DNA 40.

From my own experience and what I've read here, I think dry burning is essential for SS wires to work well with TC. Also I did try pre-annealing once, it did make the build easier but the resulting vape experience was kinda flaky.
My experience has been that if you skip dry burning SS, the wire will have a break in period where it pops and sizzles, where the juice flavor is off, and the base resistance will change.

Essentially, if you don't dry burn, the wire will go through the "dry burn" process, just much slower, and into your lungs instead of open air.

Id go straight for NiFe48 (Zivipf in germany) or try the NiFe30 from Stealthvape Uk. The dicodes Resistherm wire (which is, I think should really be called NiFe70) has a lower tcr than Ti and is bloody expensive...

Cheers @TheotherSteveS

I have some coming direct from Dicodes when they send my box back

But all they have is 29awg so that will go straight into storage

NiFe48 it is then :toast:

Yeah that's what Dicodes suggested mate

Will do a couple of builds I suppose but need to get some 24 or 26 NiFe

I am pretty much sold on 316ss atm

Have a few tanks built and its just so convenient dry burning and rewicking in seconds

So far Billow V2's have been rock solid for TC builds, so will keep a new one aside for the dicodes box

for what its worth, i havent bothered with ss as I see no advantage over NiFe48. Dry burnable, really decent TCR, pretty good resistivity at the small cost of a highish heat capacity. I just use it like kanthal pretty much. I love Ti and still use it but if i only had 25 and 27g NiFe48 i would not be unhappy!

My SS builds are the same

Built once in each tank then its a quick dry burn and rewick when needed

Will try some NiFe though otherwise will feel like am missing out on summit :D

twisting it is the best way in my limited experience. Also, if you are going to pulse/dry burn it, be careful. If there are hot legs it will melt quick as you like. It is a very sensitive petal!

Ok. I'll try some ss then and in a few weeks you will be saying NiFe48 is the dog's undercarriage and I will be claiming SS is what God vapes on! lol.

:( oh don't want no melting metal on the carpet

The boss will slaughter me

As everything I do now is 24 or 26 cant see me using it more than once though

oh they have 26awg NiFe70 :thumb:

Saves waiting on German post

http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/products/NiFe30-Wire-.html
They appear to be "out of stock" till early October.
I just want to point out the ability to be confused on the various NiFe wires available. Example: Nife30, some use the % of Ni content and call it Nife30 (30% NI) while others use the % of Fe (30% Fe) and call it NiFe30.
NiFe48 and Nife52 = Ni content.
I hope I'm close to getting that correct.....LOL
Edit: NiFe48 and NiFe 52 have 52% Ni with remains Fe

It should be the same as far as I know. I've been meaning to ask zivipf.com why he labels his differently (Ni content) than Kanthal (company) does.

Oh I didn't answer that right, give me a minute as this still confuses me too.
NiFe48, NiFe52 are both listed as 52% Ni
