I find it amazing that manufacturers even bother with auto switches--especially since quality control/failure rate is total crap. Plus, I would imagine that the cost of auto switches are more expensive a manual switch would be during manufacturing. Seems to me that it's a no-brainer. Go figure.

If the other existing models are to remain competitive, they should start making manual batteries available. In the mean time, I'll be enjoying my 510 :D

Amen and Amen....

Manual batteries don't typically have a LED light, but the last batch of 510s from (another great 510 vendor) did have lighted manual batteries. I don't think anyone else sells a manual 510 with a light.

thanks this is my first e-cig

without the led battery how does one know when the battery is weak? when the vapor is weak? other then that i do not care that much for a LED.

also is it normal to make a noise when vaporing? I assume that is the atomizer heating up?

mine gurgles a bit when vaping especially on new or just filled carts

how long are you folks carts lasting?

mine is the tecc 510 titan.. I got some 18mg 30ml totally wicked liquid and 10x refillables from tecc too, been refilling my own now for a couple of days, how many drops do you people put in to fill the carts and how much time does this last with how much vaping?

is it just me becoming a freak but I keep using this non stop lol

seem to be refilling quite often, the ones that came with it lasted longer in terms of time, maybe I am not filling it up properly or with enough liquid.

the manual battery is epic.. defo ordering another one of those with a passthru a s a p :)

great service from tecc and thanks alot to getcha - your review pretty much made my descision solid between the 901 and the 510

I tend to want to vape real long deep pulls on this and my only real worry is overdose at this point as I keep using it non stop but apart from some head rushes so far so good :)

it was mad driving with the windows shut while smoking, not something I did before, I did not even smoke in this particular car with real cigs as they stink it out too much

I struggled to see after about 5 minutes vaping heavily with it so the windows must now be opened just to reassert to anyone in doubt just how much vapour these things do produce

anyone know of a decent priced metal carry case for this and some parts with it eg spare battery atomizer and cart?

another +1 for the 510 anyway :) hope you guys can throw some light on the above questions any answers much appreciated

thanks

lee :)

(ps - it is my first e cig too, 5 days without a real cig and counting)

You'll know. The atomizer doesn't really heat up, and there's little to no vapor.

thanks!

my only other problem is how to carry the stuff..i realized that after i ordered it..how do i carry it to and form work

you are not suppose to carry it horizontally right or it will leak if i put it in my pocket?

plus if i keep it in my pocket link will probably get on the mouthpiece?

I saw there was a portable case but not really wanting to spend $50 yet for it anyone come up with a cheap alternative?

I am experiencing the same things you are. I received my 901 on Thursday, I actually found someone close by me in Florida so I picked it up. It seems as though I haven't put it down. I haven't given up on the analogs as of yet but went from 1 1/2 to 2 packs per day down to 4 or 5 total. I am so happy. I also tried it in the car and out of habit put the window down. I have a few habits I need to adjust to now that I am vaping. I smoked outside for years, I still do with the 901 but don't really have to because there is no smell but this is such an adjustment to my routine.lol I feel that once I get my 501 and get that throat hit I'll be able to stop analogs all together. I also found when I lite a real cig it tastes funny, so I know I'm on my way. I did by the juice when I got the 901 and I am so glad I did. My carts were cheap, the fiber stuck to the atomizers and seemed to absorb the liquid really fast, however once I mastered the topping off I do get a good amout of vapor. The first day was difficult, the taste was awful, I wonder if your tasting that on the 501 as well? I read that the atomizer has some type of factory paste or something on it when its new. So I am now waiting for widow to send me my 501...

I'm using a Casemaster Super Bee dart case after getting the idea here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/13377-new-case-idea-dart-case.html#post203698

It's about 3"x5"x1" which is just a little larger than the pack of 100mm cigarettes I used to smoke, so it fits nicely in my pocket.

It will hold three complete 510s, 4 cartridges or atomizers, and a small bottle of juice.

I bought mine on eBay for around $10 with shipping since the stores near me didn't have any.

The 901 carrying case holds the 510 perfectly, at least with the new shorter manual batteries. This is what I use, my 901s don't need it any more. They are in a drawer collecting dust. :) Altsmoke currently has it on sale for $6.99.

I know this is a silly question..but i rather make sure..are the white and black 510 parts interchangeable?

for example can I purchase a white battery 510 separately and use it with the charger I got from my 510 black charger kit?

say i want to get a 510 white next time instead of black? this way i dont need to buy an entire kit?

also can i use a black atomizer with a white battery vice versa? if i wanted? so i can have a little bit different variety in colors?

I don't see why you cannot but i rather double check thanks

thanks all! for the help it been really helpful

so far i really love the 510...and have no urge to even try an analog

one thing i am not sure is how many hits off the 510 is equivalent to one cigarette in terms of nicotine? is it the same 1:1 ratio? if you are usaing the same nicotine strength

for example if i take 6 hits off the 510 that is the same of taking 5 hits off of an analog?

obviously everyone draws differently off the 510...but on average?
