Seeing as I don't have a DNA40, I'm not so concerned about nickel builds, but I am intrigued by your wicking style. Does it keep up this way?

I've been thinning the wick tails, and then for all intents and purposes running the entirety of the tails into the channels.

Same here, I probably thin about 70% off and run it 3/4 of the way down the channels. The build takes a little longer on this topper but it is well worth it!

And dude that is a creepy Sin City avatar ;)

You guys have me interested in a v2 clone. I have a question for you. I am vaping my first rda now after 4 years of old school hardware. I finally achieved a satisfying vape on the rda, but it is not my perfect vape. In some ways it far surpasses the old gear, but it's not a home run for me. I understand that the more coils I build my experience will improve with the quality of coils I make and I dial in all the elements to optimize the vape for my preferences.

I'm a mouth to lung vaper, as I think most vapers who were cigarette smokers will naturally tend to be. I always wanted more out of my old hardware, but with an rda it borders on too much.

So I ordered a couple RTAs. I test drove a friend's kfl+ and found the vape closer to what I'm used to, but also able to take advantage of increased wattage. A tank may be the perfect vape for Mrs. Dr. and myself.

I ordered a Subtank Mini, which may have been a mistake as it's obviously geared toward lung inhalers, but it's such a nice looking piece of gear I couldn't help myself. If it's only just good at mouth to lung I'll be happy with it.

I also ordered a Tobeco K4 clone after reading positive feedback and getting a stupid low price. I'm hoping it's similar to the kfl+ I sampled, and if it is its going on Mrs. Dr.'s iStick, because she is struggling to get a vape she can tolerate with her IGO-W, which I also hate because it's super hard to build on. If it's good it may be the answer for me too, if not I'm going to get an EHPro kfl+ and call it a day.

But I am interested in the Aqua OTM clone, especially since it sounds like a great tank for a flavor lover. How do you guys feel it would work as a single coil tank for someone who was a mouth to lung vaper? Thanks, I appreciate your help. Been a long time since I've known so little about vaping, but I'm catching up on 3 years worth of advances in vaping, trying to put together the perfect vape for Mrs. Dr. and myself, and the learning curve is steeper now than when I started vaping.

I've build a Aqua to be single coil and it works fine. The AFC will definitely allow you to mouth to lung inhale. However there's more work in the sense that if you wanna single coil, you'll need to block off the extra channels.

Tbh if you like MTL, and want only a single coil, it's hard to beat a kfl

Everyone's perspective on tightness of draw will be different, but as a fellow mouth to lung hitter, I find the Aqua V2 draw just right, even with the airflow set 3/4 of the way open. It is not wide open dripper style airflow. It definitely has some restriction.

I haven't tried building it in single coil mode. Dual coil is spectacular.

I plan on running mine in single coil, but I like having the option to run it dual if I choose. Plus the dripper option, which hasn't much play on this thread.

I have a couple of Orchid V4 "clones" for dual coil heat. They are a bit too intense for me for every day, but hammers home that I need to once again lower my nic level :) I also hate building dual coils, but since I have 3 Aqua V2's on the way, I will most likely one at least one in dual just to compare.

Jef I think you'll find the Aqua V2 a very smooth vape with dual coils , especially with HHV in them , I've been rocking Tuscan Cocoa and Dragon's fire in mine . :)

I would have to agree and say I was surprised but good a vape it is with duals. I normally run a single at 1.1 to 1.4 because I like a cooler vape but today at .7 ohms it is just producing more flavor and vapor without the heat.
